When registering in the app, after filling out the form it only shows a white screen and waits for email confirmation. But the user does not get any message in the app telling them to check and confirm their email. Please add a clear message like “Please confirm your email to continue.” This would improve the user experience a lot. I am using Android.

If you go to another Edeka than the default one you have, make sure to change the market in the app each time you use a different Edeka to get discounts because the app won't make discounts if you don't choose the right market, which doesn't make sense at all. Even if both markets have the same discount. For example with DM, you can get discounts wherever you go. Bad app planning to be honest.

I cannot even open this app at the supermarket because it says it fails to connect to the server. It only succeeds when trying via WIFI, which is not available at my local market

Update: now the App is completely broken - crashes on each attempt to open it. Completely useless. Was an OK App, but with Payback everything got super complicated. I just want to collect and then pay with points - but it forces me to jump through a million hoops. So essentially a really useless App, except for the mobile payment.

All options, including Payback support are there. Extra rebates while using the app. Pretty good!

I use this mainly for collecting points and digital receipts. But scanning the app at a register with a personnel usually doesn't work. The scanner device makes a ton when it reads a code, but it mostly means nothing and you never know on your side whether it's successfully scanned or not. Even worse, you need to switch the store before the scan if you go to the other store. What a silly app...

Best Digitization Example in Germany. If you don't know how the app works, you bring your groceries to the cashier, open the app and give them to code to pay, stand and wait looking like an idiot for 5 minutes, then they tell you it didn't work, then you try again and wait a other 5 minutes while customers behind you get angry, and them they tell you it's still not working and you need to pay with another method. Then you pay with your credit card to find out that you've been charged 2x in app.

Two problems in comparison with, e.g., the Lidl app: (1) it doesn't show you, the customer, if it's logged the shopping before you pay. By now, four shopping runs haven't made it into my app, despite the sales clerk telling me it had registered. This also means it didn't apply the coupons. And you can't log a receipt after the fact, either. -1.5* (2) if my VPN is on, it won't load. At all. Like, why?! -0.5*

App doesn't work anymore. When I try to open it, its trying to load things and just crashes after. I tried reinstalling it, it didn't solve anything.

this app is not working on the cash counter. i am not able to scan the QR code to get the offers. so, payback is also not working. bad experience

App doesn't let me login. Clicking the registration link in email does nothing. Followed the instructions very clearly as to keeping the email submission page open in the Edeka app. Even tried keeping the Edeka app open in picture in picture mode whilst clicking the email link and still doesn't work. All that happens is, it reopens the login page promoting to enter the email address again. Worst login process. Worst app usability: app only supports German and no way to switch to English

Worst experience using any loyalty app! It happened the 3rd time with me that I activated a coupon with some discount and after going to the cashier the app didn't create QR code. Even after multiple tries and troubleshooting, also within their own WiFi network it didn't work. In the end I couldn't avail the offer. What a digitalization we're talking about! Amazing! 🙏🏼

Good for ecoupons and the DeutschlandCard connection. Scan&go not so user friendly. Must go thru all steps to find the scanner after phone goes to rest mode. By payment lost all my 1 time coupons and discounts because cashier and I didnt know what we were doing. Will keep the app but only for the points and pay at the cashier...scan&go is too much hassle.

Why the app needs the Internet connection to open a bar code? There is no reception in the store. And for sure you need each time manually connect to the store WiFi and press the button. Just in case you thought something might be convenient. The latter for sure is not the mistake of the app developers, but the overall experience is just awful.

First, not all stores have good WiFi at all times leading to a useless app due to no connectivity in store, second, coupons not working, i.e. saying they are active, then deactivating shortly after and leading to needlessly buying product I would not have bought without having the app discount. Lastly, code typing is such an erroneous procedure that long waits often occured at checkout. Why does Edeka seem to be the only one not managing sich simple features?

I find this app very easy to use and very helpful..... but you can improve it just a little bit with an option for the receipt. As long as can see and have it in the app you can make an automatic option for the customers to choose whether they what it in paper or not so the employees don't have to ask every time if I want the receipt or not. I recommend this to all
