I like this EV charging system, but after a recent experience I'm looking (and using other options). I believe someone unplugged my car during a charging session while I was in a shopping center but didn't realize it until 20 minutes had past. By the time I got to the car I had a 29 minute idle fee after only 6 minutes of charging. I explained this to their customer service and was told they would investigate. Afterwards, they still charged me, so I'm going to take a break from them.

Over half of the functions in the app say "Something unexpected happened. Check your internet connection." Nope, connection is just fine for every other app. Gaslighting by EA for something broken in their app. Couldn't even charge through the app. Had to start the charging on the station and NFC tap the phone for Members to get it to register our account and thus use our free credits.

Nearly every time I try to charge, something is ALWAYS broken requiring a phone call to support. Yesterday, the app refused to use the same credit card that has been linked with my account for years. I called customer support and they blamed my bank. I called my bank and they said there's nothing wrong with my card, but that EA thinks I have an invalid expiration date. I haven't changed ANYTHING in my EA account, and somehow randomly, my CC info is bad? I checked, the info in the app is CORRECT.

Sometimes I can search the map for chargers, sometimes I can't. Even if I can locate a station, the app sometimes won't show me pricing or other details. If I can't trust it while on Wifi at home I can't trust it while on the road. Also, it makes me re-sign-in every time I open the app. Doesn't even have an in-app log-in page, instead it has one of those annoying "external browser" webpages.

This is one of the better Apps for charging. I have 4 on my phone and this is my go-to for charging. I like the discount for the fee. Even though I have a charger at home, the cost is still worth it. The app syncs with the charger quickly and also updates easily if you leave your car. (Sometimes it takes 30 seconds or so to update the current session, but not always.)

When it works, it works great, unfortunately a lot of times it doesn't work well. there are plenty of times that it won't give you updates to how long the vehicle has been charging. Right now you can't scroll down to see all the chargers, when you can get it to scroll down, you may get it to start charging, but then the app errors out. Thankfully it continues charging, but you can't rely on the app much.

The estimated time to charge from 20% to 80% was long enough for me to grab food, so I stepped away. While I was gone, a charging error occurred. Your app never alerted me—I only found out because my Ford app sent a notification. When I returned, I discovered I'd been charged an idle fee, even though my vehicle wasn't actually charging due to the error. Why didn't the system attempt to renegotiate the charging session? And why was I billed an idle fee for time spent not charging?

Machines continually broken- have to spend an extra 20-30 mins calling customer service (which is overseas and have no decision making authority), so instead of charging for 30 minutes, I'm at the station for an hour and they refuse to credit me for time wasted. This has happened multiple times. I don't recommend this company. They do not care about customers at all.

Charging with EA is flakey. I've only got their level 2 chargers to work once, and it stopped charging early. I've got the fast chargers to work every time, but I've also had them sometimes stop early. The app continues to get worse. They are trying to force users to use passkey for logins, forcing users to re-login every couple weeks, and not honoring the "do not show me this again" option to create a passkey.

Who doesn't love remembering more passwords? Why it ever signs me out, while any number of other apps will never, over the course of years logout, i'll never understand. Sign in with passkey doesn't work. I still need to enter password. Requiring 2 factor authentication & location access to charge a car is nightmare fuel. What are there bandits charging people's cars for them using their app, battling through layers of logins and passwords?

They added 2FA to an app that already had issues logging in. The app doesn't accurately show the status of charging stations. If you think you're lucky to find a charger, it's offline but not accurately displayed in app. Customer service is friendly, but sometimes requires a lot of time to connect for unknown reasons.

Unless you prepay, this app serves no purpose. You can't pay through it without preloading funds on it. It's useless for telling you how full a station is. You can't monitor your charge or setup notifications without having prepaid. Unlike EVgo's app, you can't use it to reserve a slot. I only charge on long road trips — like holidays: I'm not stranding money on an app I'll use a couple times per year.

My only issue is that I wish there was some sort of visible queue, because sometimes there are so many people waiting in line at the charging stations that sometimes arguments break out about who's next, and it's scary sometimes. It almost seems necessary. Not only could that prevent fights, but it could also help EV drivers decide which station to head to. Also, a visible percentage meter for each stall in use would be nice, though not necessary.

when is not something going on with the station is something going on with the app. I'm almost an hour waiting, trying to get the app to work to charge my car, but it keeps giving me an error that says, "Oops! something unexpected occurred, check your internet connection and try again" I wouldn't be posting this review if my internet connection had a problem.

Increasingly buggy. Tap to pay with app doesn't work anymore. Have to activate the charger through the app, but it won't scroll down through the chargers at the station to select the one I've plugged into. Can only select charger 1 at a station. I could probably call the help line, but it's just bug after bug after bug with this app. There's nothing advanced about the app features, and any small IT team worth their salt could solve all these bugs in a single sprint.

Pretty consistently having issues with the app now. Seems like once I activate one charger on a trip, the app bricks itself. I rebooted my phone and got it to work, but force closing the app does nothing to fix it. Logging out and in does also fix it. Ended up using my credit card before I realized the log out/in trick. EA should be able to tell we're having issues. Where's the sense of urgency? Can't wait for more Ionna stations so I can avoid EA.

the charging experience is pretty buggy. I'm not sure if it's the app or the charging station but it often will reset the time that I have been charging -it stops recognizing that I'm charging and restarts the timer and the charging. not a big deal at all. The app does what it needs to do. it would be nice if EA could integrate the app and the charging station perhaps through better error correction or better servers, but it is okay-ish now.

Yeah I'm done with EA. 2 years ago the rate was 0.36 per kwh. Overnight it jumped to 0.69/kwh. More than once I've had to drive to other stations because they go offline so often. The app itself is atrocious. I'm going to pay more for evgo but at least I haven't had issues with their chargers. Your app is now relying on fake 5 star reviews. They're pretty obvious. These ceos need to stop with outsourcing. They have no clue and you'll end up rewriting the apo 5x over before its a stable product

For the most part, the charging stations are working. It's a lot better than several months ago when at two stations were always inoperable. Sometimes the lighting late at night is bad. Otherwise, good to go. The cost to charge at certain times appears to have increased...especially for non-membership. Hopefully, this doesn't become expensive like some of the other vendors who are popping up with high per minute charges.

Ni e to have the convenience of using an app. The set up.is easy to navigate. However, there are glitches. Recent the app is not operating in real time. While charging, it's not showing status right away. Last night, 29 minutes had passed with no update on the charge level or time remaining. I had to reboot the app. When temperatures are high outside the chsrging terminal and app are nearly impossible to use.
