Elf Cam : Santa's elf tracker

Charged £2.99 and then didn't work. Chose animations just for it to change once I started recording. Video doesn't look the same as the ad. Camera can't seem to recognize the floor so the elf spends most time hovering in mid air. Very awkward to use. Not great quality. Music is irritating. I would like a refund but I know I'm not going to get one so won't waste my time

Hard work. I don't know if it's me doing something wrong, but the scan takes ages, and then the elf is either huge on the screen or just spinning. If I show this to my children, they definitely wouldn't believe anymore. There also isn't an elf with a plain red top and white trim. I would have overlooked that if the app worked well.

Pretty terrible app. You HAVE to pay to be able to use it and if course as a parent you want to go the extra mile so you do it. The camera glitches. I select a specific kind of motion for the Elf and instead she glitches and constantly spins in circles?? I want my money back... I've wasted way too much time on this.

There was no undo button. If you clicked on any animation or added anything, you couldn't change it but had to rerecord the elf. The recording function barely worked after an hour of trying. I eventually gave up and never ended up using it. I also couldn't create an elf that matched ours even though it's the standard elf. Huge waste of money.

Looks like a really good app!! I havecfriends who have used it and the videos are amazing! The only downside is that it doesn't say anywhere (until you download and start up the app) that it is £1.99 per year to use it. Don't get me wrong if you'll use it all year round go for it (every child needs a little reminder every now and again) again, the videos look amazing!!!

Kids have enjoyed the videos but it's a bit fiddly to make the animations. Be good to have multiple elves on screen and more facial customisation. Would really like to be able to assign movements to plot points before recording and not having to do it on the fly in real time during recording

Best christmas app ever! This is a lot of fun, It was easy to customize the elf to match our unique elf lol, Pointed the camera at where I wanted the elf to pop up, plotted his course, Popped on the night filter (I did pay extra for more animations cause I wanted him to jump like a ballerina and run like the wind) but isn't necessary I was just getting a bit to into... still wasn't daylight robbery like most kid apps.

What an absolute trash app. You install it thinking you can at least try it out only to find out it makes you pay right off the bat. No basic app with upgrades to pay for just straight money right off the bat. Once you pay for it it barely works as advertised and doesn't let you save or send the videos. This app is just garbage. Don't waste your money on this negative 5 star trash.

Update 12/2023 Gave them 2 years to fix the app. Purchased it again and it still is horrible. It is worthless. Waste of money!! They can't even get anything fixed after 2 years. They just want your money. DONT PURCHASE IT!!! Horrible!! I bought this app and now it won't even work at all. So they got my money but I have no working app.Don't buy it.

Terrible! Feel ripped off! I'm a teacher and did it for my class. The App allows sharing or saving to your phone. I recorded and clicked to share, hoping the students could watch, but it just sent a link to install the app. I tried to save it to my phone and it wouldn't let me do that either. Don't recommend.

Cost money to use the app, then once you pay the subscription, you find out it costs more money to unlock things. Obviously a money grabbing app as it's only getting used once a year. Not really worth it. Video isn't that great. I'm sure there's a better app out there.

App Is Not Free It's free to download but not to use. You must pay a subscription fee to even begin. Then, you must pay more to unlock additional features. Better off to make this app cost money at download with everything unlocked.

I genuinely feel ripped off. I'm in a different country from my kid and the app says I can share the videos with them after paying. When you click share after recording it just sends them a link to the app... also the app does not allow me to store on my phone to send either.

The most important feature to me - save to camera roll does not work. All possible app permissions are allowed. Totally worthless for me. Sorry, I hoped for more. Now I regret paying for the additional animations as I can't save the video.

Takes multiple times and very long for the app to scan the surface and plots, then many times fails to even catch the elf after recording, cannot do it in darker space as it won't scan at all. Wasted my money and time on this worst app. 😒

You have to pay to do anything. Just goes back to "Start" screen if you exit out of the payment screen, so it doesn't even show you how the app works.

Great app but a few changes would make it so much better. One, get rid of Elf Cam logo on the bottom. My daughter cottoned on straight away it was an app and not just my camera video. Two, make it so you can have multiple elves in the video. Three, only white boy elf available which we don't have. Needs to be more choices of elves. A few tweaks and will be great!

Really glitchy app. Elf gets stuck spinning round in one place, have to keep restarting the app to get surfaces. Used a few years ago and was great. You pay 2.99 for it then have to pay more money to get different animations. Wouldn't recommend.

This app requires that you pay in order to use it and then it doesn't work at all. It allowed me to create the character and then froze when trying to scan the room. I tried several times to make it work and it froze at the same stage every time I tried to scan the room. Save yourself some money and do not use this app.
