My experience is not all that great. It takes a while to load piscs in the email, and have to wait until they load in order to zoom in, and it's like you have to find a sweet spot to zoom in. Otherwise, you can't zoom in. it looks like i'm gonna have to go back to Outlook- a much smoother experience.
The Windows client is very good to excellent, and this Android client is pretty good, too. I previously reported a problem with an Exchange server, but after reconfiguring the account (correctly) as an O365 account, the client seems to work fine. I have som minor nits. I not yet figured out how to re-order accounts. And the "Always download pictures from this sender" option does not work. I wouldn't mind paying for this if that would mean more frequent updates.
It's still full of bugs! As an eM Client user on Windows for many years, I find this android version very sad! For years, I have reinstalled the android version, hoping they would have finally finish what they started, but sadly, no! It's still buggy as hell, and a mail client is about as much good as a chocolate teapot without a calendar! Come on, guys, finish it! I already paid for the Windows version, finish it, and put a price on it if ya going to, but get it done!
I've wanted this app since I have long used the desktop version. However, I don't feel it's quite ready for production use. First, it will not reliably retrieve mail from my primary account, most often saying the account is offline even though other mail clients can access it. Second the app does not even open if you happen to be offline. So if I'm on an airplane or somewhere else where I don't get a signal of some sort cannot access my mail. Just two problems but they seem rather fundamental.
I have been using the Windows desktop version for some time and even used the sync function when setting up this Android version. Frankly, that's the only thing that has worked properly. Even after re-authenticating my accounts and the initial loading of emails, it then fails to get any new emails... three days and it's just spinning its wheels. I'm going to stick with Aqua Mail and just check this one after any updates to see if it finally works.
Will not delete an email from a notification, and then it gives you the notification again as a fun added bonus. It also has HUGE delays to load mesages because everything is forced to be IMAP. On top of that, if you have more than one account, it will not select the correct account when selecting a message from a notification. It could be really good, but right now... no
it's ok - but at least for me, it misses the point. I have a setup where I use many email aliases on few accounts. Unfortunately, the QR code import won't include the Gmail aliases. Besides, an import of settings is not really what I'd want: a sync would be much preferred. And finally, I expected an app that shares the name with its desktop cousin to have comparable features. Disappointingly, the app does not support calendars. So in summary, this does very little to simplify my life.
The app looks polished, but it isn't working well in the background. Sometimes my inboxes update to reflect changes on the servers, and sometimes they don't - even requiring multiple manual refreshes before the message list updates. Most weirdly, there occasionally have been messages that just won't delete; I have to remove the account and add it back to get rid of the "undeletable" emails. Integration with Gmail settings is great - but the inbox has been frustrating.
It's not bad but due to adding "features" it becomes pretty heavy to load and takes a lot of memory. Also, the translation function stopped working. Both on PC version and on Android. Not going to reinstall, been there, done that and not going to do it again. Testing another app right now, also both PC and Android.
desktop and iOS versions are very good. recently switched my phone to android and let's just say I'm very disappointed in the em client for android. half of my emails don't load correctly, even thought I have have the sender marked as safe so it can download images etc. also, I have notifications set to badge icon only but it still shows messages at the top bar by my clock and other notifications. Just overall disappointed. especially given there's been no updates since February.
App does not work in the background. I have a paid license. The Windows version is good. But this Android version needs to be run before it starts checking for new emails. ------- (Responding to dev's responsel): This is a very poor answer. Others email clients on Android are doing it just fine. Like Bluemail which I'm using. It's the basic function of an email client to run in the background and let you know when there's new emails. You cannot figure out how to make it works and blame the OS.
I just started using the desktop app so I thought I would try the mobile version. It needs some work. Interface looks outdated, syncing takes a while, and the app seems buggy at times. I'll probably go back to the email client I was using before which is the Samsung email client. Hopefully with all the Postbox customers their picking up they will be able to invest more resources into their products.
I moved away from Microsoft Outlook last year and now use eM Client on both a Windows desktop and Galaxy S24. Both apps have some really useful features and, importantly, they're reliable. I agree the Windows app is slow to start but I have four email accounts configured on the Android app (along with a shared Google calendar) and find the performance on that is fine. I especially like the option to disable tracking cookies.
Actually not a bad app, but 1. zooming is atrocious. Sometimes it just don't work at all, and it's not because of the email structure because when i zoom in the same email using the fastmail app, it works fine. When are you going to fix the zoom issue?? 2. There are some lag as stated by other users as well.
The desk top version 10 is great but I can only use the Android App for emails as the calendar and Task functions do not sync directly with the calendar/tasks on the desktop version. Apparently I need to sync with an online host calendar such as Google, Outlook Microsoft 365. I've tried syncing with my webhost calendar but this was not successful.
Excellent email client. Just one small issue: It's not easy to switch quickly between email and the calendar. It would be much better if there were icons permanently at the bottom to allow quick selection.
The only dependable free mail client app you can use if you have maximum 2 mail accounts. I personally have use it for years in PC & Android but experimented with Gmail for a while. Now, after the Gmail 'Gmalify' changes, I returned to eM without second thought. The new version is better. Just a tip: First install/setup eM in your PC and then download the app in your phone. This way all your settings will be transferred from your PC to your phone within a QR code. No fuss, no worries. Superb!
I have tried earlier versions of this app and gave a bad review before, used other apps, but as I'm very happy with the Windows app, now back to it yet again and the latest version is working great. I just use it for email and contacts. Love the flexibility it gives around folder management.
used to be great, but now forces opening of ICS file attachments inside app instead of in default calendar app. Also if you try and just download them as a file, it messes up the file path. Loved this app but this bug/ change in behaviour makes it unusable for me.
UI is having different font sizes, not consistent through full App (compose screen). Slow checking new emails (4 accounts in total), signature have broken external images but in settings everything loads good... Waiting fix, and we will go to 5 stars ;)
