Wow! Horrible! How do staff punch in / out if there isn't a schedule? The sign out time while still using the app is too quick. Staff can't do a fraction of what they can do online. It's already challenging enough using the online portal, but this app is genuinely worse. I can't recommend staff to use it, which means we'll never get accurate times for their punches. Sounds harsh, but the basic function of a digital time cards system is the main problem with this app from AOD.
Slow. Slow. Slow. Crashes my device weekly. Takes several minutes to log on. I'm at work for 5 minutes before I start getting paid. The app is not user friendly. I have to touch an option several times before the app recognizes that a selection has been made. Nothing is in a logical place. This app is horrible. Employers, I beg you, find a different time management system.
This was a quick and easy way to look at my time card, overtime, ect. Until the most recent update. (June 11th 2023) It is now nearly unusable, and it's impossible for me to quickly double check my time and overtime. The old system was a solid 4.5 stars. I'd recommend bringing back the old UI.
this app can be better. with less restrictions and more functioning menu options and I think it would help out a lot if the transactions page wasn't so crammed up, and that it'll actually display it full-screen when I turn my phone horizontally. I would have given this app 1 1/2 stars but unfortunately I can't lol
The worst app I've ever used. I hate that our employer uses this. The functions barely work and are SUPER slow. Crashes often and takes you back to the home view when trying to navigate the app. It's like the app developers have completely abandoned the ship on this. If you're an employer reading this review, for the love of god please use Paycom or ADP!!!! STAY AWAY!
It was great when I had it! One day I clicked into it and what showed up was a format I've never seen. I call talent for help and no one knows anything about a new version of ESS Mobile. I can't look into my actual punch times, or any thing ess mobile has to offer. How can I be the only one that doesn't have ess mobile app. And how can no one except me have this new version. I'm beyond frustrated!!!
It's convenient and easy to use for the most part. Two of my biggest problems is that the app is slow and incorrectly clocks you out. There will be times that I have to stay in overtime a few hours. I'll go to clock out and it will clock me in. So basically 4 hours since my lunch doesn't count. Your app doesn't work half of the time.
Doesn't allow me to log in. This is like the 3rd time I've had to tell my company that it's not allowing me to log in. I deleted the cache , data. Uninstalled reinstalled and still can't log in. I wish we could use something else or if ess could please fix this problem. It's a pain and i can't get paid right away if I can't log in with it.
Absolute worst time clock app I've ever used! My company has forced this app on us and not a week goes by where I don't have multiple instances of being told my location doesn't match. Sometimes it puts me in Norfolk, VA but I'm in Athens, OH. Spend several minutes trying to get clocked in/out.. Wasting my time. This app sucks! I figure it's a android issue but I'm not switching OS for an app or my company.
The latest update is horrible. You used to be able to see accumulated hrs in a pay period ..now you can't. Absolutely useless app, update 6/23 No replies back from customer service regarding issues emailed to them. It's been a month since I emailed them. Update: I was told that the mobile version is user unfriendly. And you have to view it on your pc...which I tried and it still is a pos....also you cannot see your time card punches anymore
It's not the apps fault it needs wifi to work but it is my employers fault for using an app that needs wifi to work to clock in and out in a location with spotty data. The app just doesn't register you clocking in or out if you don't have data even if you got confirmation it went through, I had 3 days where I clocked out but the app didn't register it
This app detrimentally went downhill with the newest update, it is impossible to use and navigate. None of these images are accurate to the newest version. I'm unable to see my weekly benefit balances, requesting time off give incorrect dates, our management is not receiving important details. I'm unable to clock in or out even when I'm within appropriate geographical distance. I hate literally every single component of this newest version of this app.
What the hell happened to this app? There was a massive update and now half the features are gone. Can't even look up my timesheets on the thing. Can't look up PTO accumulation. Can't request time off. Only thing I can do is leave a message that my schedule coordinator says doesn't even come through half the time. Apparently no warning was ever given to my employer from the developer.
This app should not be rated at all. It's that bad. This app is used for payroll. For employees clocking in/out. When it does actually "find you" via GPS, which is perhaps half the time, it takes so long to do so, requiring multiple tries that one finds themselves clocking in late. Using this app is saving companies millions by shorting employees pay penny by penny. The sad part is that this is legal.
Can no longer clock-in/out through app. For a while it was extremely convenient to be able to clock-in with my phone when I arrived at work, (you have to be connected to work wifi,) though after an update a while back it just gives a "checking your connection" pop-up and never processeses your punch. Very disappointing.
Terrible design. Putting the punch in/out button directly on top of the transfer button? And then not being able to punch back in for a full minute after you accidentally touch the punch button? What a time-wasting app, it takes so long to load anything. And then when you want to transfer, these geniuses made the selection window only use 1/5th of the screen. What the hell are we doing with the other 80% of the screen while we're trying to navigate a tiny view window? My actual rating is -5 star
This app has been glitchy from the start, but now it's useless to me. Whenever I try to punch in/out, I get an error message regarding my IP address. I get this despite trying with and without wifi, different locations, and after uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Please have a fix soon.
This is absolutely ridiculous and shameful. As employees we dont get to choose the programs used, the company does. The screen is blank 95% of the time, you get kicked off, you can't request time off, etc. And no responses to those technical problems Whatever you are paid is waaaaaaay too much. ZERO stars.

terrible! let's me clock in but always clocks me out at random, as if I never clocked in at all. terrible app. poorly designed, and I'm not the only one having issues, every single one of my coworkers has this happen to them as well. like what's the point of this app. it's worthless.
My entire agency rolled this app out as a positive solution to our time management efforts. They had webinars & tutorials. This App has underwhelmed, on every level. Remote punch in/out its a joke. The app freezes, or fails to initiate. We have to log in at work to record punches in messages saving neither ton time or effort. If we paid for this service we got ripped off big time.
