eToro: Trade. Invest. Connect.

this is a scam as far as I'm concerned. I realized within minutes of signing up and paying the initial $20 that they wanted more money to use the entire platform. When I emailed for a refund within minutes of paying the $20 you get a response from AI saying they will waive certain charges, but won't issue you a refund. UpDate: with a fourth round of emails with AI i received $10 back.

This app is so faulty. Almost every time I want to make a transaction it logs me out. when I have to act quick as I am trading, it makes me lose opportunities, logs me out then takes a while to log in even with biometric authentication. it allows you to "buy or sell stuff " but when you check, the transaction wasn't effective because it logged you out. It is like it was designed to make you lose money!! terrible!

they can close your positions whenever they want. had invested big money into a crypto coin i was sure was going to do well in the future it was a long term investment something I could forget about. came on one day to find out that crypto will be closing everyone's position on said coin when we are all down exponentially. Yes they have the right to close your positions but that is the most scummy thing to do right when everyone has lost basically all of the money they put in to the coin.

The fine print really kills you. I chose eToro after doing what I thought was extensive research on the fees various platforms charge for trading crypto, but which (unlike Robinhood) also give you access to that crypto (ie you can transfer to another wallet). What I read was that there was a flat rate fee for withdrawing crypto, for example you pay 0.0005 BTC for each BTC transfer to the eToro wallet. I figured with the amount I was investing, a flat rate fee was a great deal. Trouble is (and this wasn't made clear), every single purchase you make must be transferred *separately*. So if you're trying to dollar cost average with a hundred dollars a day, similar to what I was doing, you may end up paying 15% of your total assets just in fees to transfer to a wallet (not to mention that some purchases aren't allowed to be transferred, for being too small -- which I also didn't know about, or the additional fee you pay for transferring out of the wallet, or the fact that you need to use the eToro wallet app do any of this which is extremely buggy and often can't even load the login screen) even if the "flat rate fee" is a small fraction of 1 percent of the amount you're trying to transfer. If you don't ever intend to transfer to a wallet, nothing I found while using the app suggests eToro is anything other than a great choice of platforms with low fees. But I don't know what other hidden fees there are that I don't know about. They really need to make things more clear to avoid such costly surprises.

I have been using the trading platform for 3 years. The first year it was great, but with the time the quality of the service went downhill pretty fast. Customer support is one of the worst, it takes weeks sometimes even months to resolve an issue. The platform is crushing pretty often and they close the market whenever is convient for them. I don't know any other platform that is down for more than 10 hours where you can't login and you don't have account your capital.

Horrible they are thieves. DO NOT USE THEM. They verified me the first day everything was good. I deposited money and was trading and liking the app. Well, when you try to withdraw, they lock your account and say you're not verified, which makes no sense they can take your money, but getting it back is impossible. You cannot sell, trade, withdraw its locked and no phone to call no person to talk to unless you constantly say I want to talk to a real agent 15 times and good luck they don't care.

The worst of the worst for crypto trading, can't transfer out all the coins, only 25 minimum orders, limited coin selection, and minimum withdrawal of 30 bucks. What about all the beginners who just want to buy 10 bucks here and there? I mean thats what this app looks like it was created for. If you want something better you don't have to look far.

Dangerous Avoid! Had many issues with this app but today was my worst. Full signal, full wifi, I went to sell it wouldn't do it. I had to turn the phone off and on again, by the time I had the price had dropped. As it doesn't allow you to cancel a sell order you've initiated even if it didn't work I was left in a position when my agreed sell price dropped significantly (leveraged position) in the time it took to get back online and I was forced to sell at whatever the price was when I let me.

They don't support many browsers and the servers crash often. The software is easy to use; "Buy" when you want to open a trade and it's easy to close a trade when you want to, as long as the servers haven't crashed. Each trade starts you off around 2% in the negative - this is how etoro makes money, but it makes opening multiple trades with multiple currencies undesirable. This is a fine option if you want to open a trade and leave it alone for long periods of time (1 or more weeks).

I had zero issues until this whole GME thing started. All of a sudden they're claiming they didn't receive a deposit (my bank account says differently) and froze my account so I can't withdraw the money have through them. Mind you, it took multiple customer service complaints for them to even tell me about that, and after 4 business days it hasn't been resolved. There is literally no way to contact customer service except to submit online tickets, which can take a week to be reviewed.

THEY TOOK AWAY MY MONEY AND THEY WONT GIVE IT BACK. STAY AWAY FROM ETORO! Verification is a pain in the bottom if you're not from an English speaking country. They want an official document, but they can't work it out and now they closed my positions and the money is gone. Money's not in my bank account not in my portfolio. Also I have to mention how it took so long before I can buy shares. They were block3d and by the time I could open positions I lost 10% profit. It's a dodgy platform.

The worst app I've ever seen. You can invest easy, to withdrawn funds is a absolute nightmare. Robinhood is so much easier and user friendly. Highly disappointed that there is a wait period, and jump through hoops to get anything done. I would totally avoid this app and go somewhere else.. Please fix the withdraw process and make it simple. Please!!!!

It's very frustrating to get verified. It doesn't tell you everything you need to do from the get go, you get emails later on with more steps, and then you keep getting emails telling you that you still need to do things you've already done. I assume once you can actually use it it's fabulous. But from what I've seen, the graphs are far less user friendly and intuitive than say Coinbase graphs, more "professional trader" like though, if you're experienced and into that.

Would not recommend this app. I used it because it allowed me to purchase Cardano straight from fiat which was convenient. But after the market dip the site was down an entire day. I went through hoops just to try and get my coins into another wallet. They don't have it. They also don't have any option to trade cardano for another crypto. I basically had to sell it, withdraw back to my bank, wait a few days until the money got there, then buy it on another app. Losing money through process

I made my initial deposit and now cannot deposit any more. My bank is not blocking or declining deposits. I created two separate trouble tickets and received the exact same response, verbatim, for both of those tickets. There is no option to respond. The trouble ticket is immediately closed. The customer service is some of the worst I've ever experienced. Go with another platform for investing. This one is not good.

Terrible app. Really easy to put money in, incredibly difficult to get it back out. Almost impossible to transfer to other accounts because the wallet app you have to download is even worse than the trading app. Poor user interface in both apps. There is a ton of restrictions that are not intially disclosed such as a 60 day hold on funds added by debit card before you can xfer them. But my favorite part is they warn you that a withdrawl of funds to your bank account can not be garunteed. Shady.

Update; I will never deposit another cent into ETORO, even after the 60 day waiting period, I was eligible to transfer to my wallet, not. Had an additional 30 day waiting period added. Plus a 2nd list of hoops to jump through. It just not worth the headache when there are so many more reliable and friendly trading apps available. It's seriously easier to withdraw from KuKoin and other advanced sites than ETORO.

One of the worst experiences with a trading app. Sends email stating you have to sell XRP or move to wallet. But they have it blocked and won't let you move it to your wallet. Now I have to sell at a loss because they won't let me transfer it. I really hate this app and am glad I only loaded a little bit to check it out first. I have a total of about $10,000 in various trading apps but won't put a penny more in this dumpster fire.

I have been pending verification for 15 days now. Customer service takes days to get back to you with a generic we have received your documents and are currently reviewing. Deposits are locked until you're verified. So whenever they get around to verifying I have to wait even longer to go through the deposit process and funds clear. At the very least they should unlock deposits and lock purchases until clear. Very disappointed that I chose them for buying crypto. The other brokerages that I signed up for at the same time were verified within a week. I will not use etoro now and I will ask for my account to be deleted as soon as the get through verifying it. I have zero faith that they are a well run company.

Somehow my comments keep getting deleted. So I'm going to say the buy price and the ACTUAL buy price are 40 dollars high. So if you buy 35 dollars worth of bitcoin at 7,199 it drops the "real price" down 40 dollars, so it's an automatic loss. I'm watching the price of bitcoin on 3 different devices and the only one that's different is this app. I want my money off of this app. But you can't remove anything under 50 dollars. I don't recommend this app.
