It's not emailing notifications and Seller's copies of correspondence with customers. I made a sale on April 12th that the app didn't show me. I only knew it was out there when the payment appeared in my checking account. At that point it was already overdue by 4 days! I fumbled around with the filters and finally found the sale, but it wasn't easy. I'm a small volume seller, I need the app to work! 4/22/2025 update - can't contact support via App, it only gives FAQs. No way to send a message.
The user-friendliness of the app is great for someone new to selling. However, their fees have gotten outrageous and they seem to take a percentage of every little step of the way of the sale that you make. They also auto-subscribe you to off-site adds which takes a huge chunk of your profit, so be sure to look out for that and turn that off if you're not interested.
Just started selling and genuinely some of the worst customer service. They cannot answer your questions straight. Don't bother explaining why they hold payments and if they do , it's extremely confusing. They charge you near 10 percent off each order which is absolutely absurd. Waiting months just to get our payment should be completely illegal. Since when is that normal to hang onto funds that otherwise the seller earned? I can promise y'all the 5 star reviews are more than likely BOTS.
I like it I do. had to raise prices a little to make up for fees abd shipping. only thong i did not like was trying to get support to help with a shipping issue. once I did get ahold of support they did not help me solve the issue. too many forms. should be easier to speak with a person and they should be trained more on shipping problems. However a lot better then fb market place .
pretty great app! however, some options are not obvious and you have to know they are there and REMEMBER they are there every time you put in a new listing. For example, I only want to offer USPS ground. I have to click every new listing to use this but it is not an obvious entry,. it is one of many "process+" labels to click. Otherwise the client chooses first class mail. And I lose money on my free shipping. When you know where everything is, it is GREAT!!
I've been using this app as a seller for about a year. There are issues that make selling more burdensome than it should be: 1) My shipping profile disappears once I publish a listing, so I have to go back to each listing and manually edit the shipping settings, 2) I can't create a shipping label when a buyer purchases more than 1 item (have to do it on a computer), and 3) when I send a return label, the label's format comes out all weird so the custom can't view/print it from their phones.
I would normally give a 5, but the last few days, the app does not work when it comes to having to choose a processing file and it wont save the chosen processing file and you get a message that says it's not saved, and if you can get past that for some odd reason, it will not actually post the item. Something needs fixing. I did the newest update. It also would be nice to have a more decent way of contacting Etsy, when there are troubles like this, instead of having to state it here.
When I go to "listings" then click on "sold out" it keeps reverting to "active" constantly. It just started doing this in the last week or 2. I like having this view open because I glance at it periodically throughout the day to see if anything that sells daily needs renewing due to selling out, so it's screwed up one of the apps main functions for me. please help!
WAY too expensive! Seller fees are outrageous, causing sellers to raise prices on items you can find cheaper on other platforms. I will continue to sell on your sister platform DePop which has many issues as well like Non-binding offers 🤬! I find the seller user face to be way more complicated than it needs be. Etsy is making bank of hardworking people, if it doesn't change soon, similar apps will emerge, and Etsy will be a thing of the past.
Several small grievances that make for a mediocre experience since I use this app daily. Here's a few: Listings keep defaulting to A-Z sort order (dumb), sentences don't automatically capitalize the first word, the cursor is jacked if you have to edit an attribute or price,...I have to bounce back and forth btwn app and Mobile Web to get things done. The old school Etsy seller app was much better as far as functionality and saving time. HOWEVER, I do appreciate being able to edit pics in app.
Lately I have not been able to complete orders via app if I choose "doesn't have tracking." If I have local pickup orders, I have to jump onto PC to complete orders. App makes phone freeze and nothing is accessible if I click on doesn't have tracking number link and then the app closes. Very annoying bug. I also started having issues with listings. I tried to submit feedback on app, but the "next" button is not accessible and if I click back, it says Webpage error.
For quite some time, the button for creating a sale has been disappearing once you enter the name of the sale, which forces me to then have to use my laptop to do it from. This never used to be a problem, but it has gone on for MONTHS with no bug fix despite all the updates.I tend to put my items on sale when I'm out and about working on my downtime with deliveries. So, this has been a big pain in the butt. Please fix this ASAP! The app is otherwise great. I'll change the rating once it's fixed
It's nice that you can purchase mailing labels directly through the app. It's terrible that they no longer show the full order details on the orders page. I used to be able to quickly assemble all my items at once from one screen, but now I have to click through each ordet to see stuff like what color they ordered.
Haven't even had it 5 minutes I've already discovered that you just about can't do anything with it. You can't do anything with photos, be it upload them to your listing, or send your customers an update through messages. But the other app won't work anymore so I've been forced to use this one. So far, I've only been able to log in, view my listings, and send a message that was text only. Your app is currently rated 1.6 stars. It's clear that people don't like it. Please make it better.
Way too soon to force people into using this app. It doesn't function as well as the old app and is less user-friendly. Sometimes, I like to fill a couple orders through the app,and there's more unnecessary clicks to get through fulfillment now than the old app. Also, why do I have to click on each individual order to see if they've ordered more than one design when they've placed an order for multiple items? Now, it's harder to use the app to pick orders and fulfill on desktop.
UPDATED: I complained a lot in my review about buggy messaging, and that is fixed. I still miss the widget, and I keep hoping they'll replace it. I pretty much just use it for quick messages and seeing what someone purchased when I make a sale; I use desktop for pretty much everything else. I still hate that sales notifications feature the buyer over the product. I don't care what my buyer's name or picture is, I want to know at a quick glance what I sold.
As you add tracking numbers, no longer does "USPS" pop up causing errors in the tracking. Absolutely no way to edit a tracking number if you make a typing error. Tiny font, messages that are unread are not bold enough. Many more clicks to do basic activities. No order preview without opening a new page. Not at all intuitive. WHY FIX SOMETHING THAT IS NOT BROKEN???? WHY HURT YOUR SELLERS? GET AN ACTUAL ETST STORE OWNER TO WORK ON YOUR APP WHAT A DISASTER! WHY?
I went to investigate this new app and the moment I did, the original one stopped working. It wasn't perfect, but it was so much better than this one and I want it back. The orders page is even messier to look at. The dashboard feed is gone. Even the shop stats going from horizontally listed to vertically is annoying. Can't easily see what repeat buyers purchased. "Cha-ching" notification when you make a sale? What if I'm vending and have a customer signing a receipt and that pops up? Rude.
Awful and desperately needs to be restructured. Uploading pics is a pain, I can't upload more than 3 pics at a time, and even then, it doesn't always take. Takes 10 minutes to upload 6 pics after many attempts. There is no way to check to see what items are in people's carts. But I can see it sometimes if I access my page through another account as a "buyer". Statistics take up to 24 hours to see, like views and clicks and nothing in real time. Not enough characters to explain every fault..
I can't publish multiple listings at once like I used to be able to. I do scheduled shop updates and being able to list multiple listings at the same time is part of that. Also the shipping profiles are missing (something I had trouble with the old app as well). Guess I'll have to get my computer out for my shop updates now. Considering Etsy decided to launch a whole new sellers app instead of changing the old one they could've spent more time making sure this one was the best it could be.
