The app is VERY Quirky on Android devices. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It needs to be updated on Android devices because IPHONE allow for more information input. I use both platforms. The Android is easier to use (when it works), but the iPhone always works and provides you input more. Bottom line ...PLEASE UPDATE ANDROID
The navigation between events isn't the most intuitive, and I've closed the app more times than I'd like to admit when I try to navigate back to my event selection. The check in camera for me also seems a little bit bugged, as it shows the image as a very heavily stretched image. I don't know how much that impacts the scanning functionality, but it certainly doesn't like to be scanned from up close. Overall useful to have, but not pleasant to use.
The most recent update to the format and interface of the app feels like a downgrade. I can't look at all my orders concurrently now and have to spend a few seconds each time clicking on each individual event to look at the orders. This makes it really difficult and tedious when finding orders in recurring events. Another thing is that I can no longer find past events and orders from previous events. Either that or there might be a new way, but it is not user friendly.
Whenever I have an issue with the app there never is a solution from their help center. To sell tickets, you need to use their own personal tap to pay Eventbrite Reader or manually put it in. The tap rarely works and often gives error issues and says that the purchase is complete when it does not go to a receipt email. I've been asking for an update and still no help. It's hard to run a business when they don't take you serious. This app is only good for people who purchase tickets online.
Lots of great features that I cannot use because the page where you select your plan simply does not open. Huge frustrating time waste and no support at all. I am much further behind in my progress towards my event than I was before I attempted this pointless exercise in frustration. Edit: I tried reinstalling and I was able to make a test event. Now that I am actually trying to use it... Same problem. Please just turn on your servers. I cannot use a tool that always fails.
I need this app for work and it doesn't work on Android devices at all, only Apple devices, for someone who despises Apple it isn't quite fair. But also using the app on our IPad at work this app is horrible honestly because you can't purchase more than one show at a time which is very time consuming when our customers want to buy more than one show at a time.
Never using it again. Used it few times and always disappoints. I want to promote event for 15£ per day. I put the ad on and used all the budget in 2h. And charged me 15£ for 2h campaign that generated nothing. I use online ads quite often on Facebook and that never happened there and had better results. 15£ DAILY budget gone in a couple of hours is just ridiculous. update: people book and I receive 0 notification resulting in people turning up unexpectedly. awful
Doesn't have a single useful feature. all event management needs to be done with desktop, since this app is really blank and lacks features. The whole platform is pretty unusable for event organizers. I submitted multiple bug reports and decided to move on with other event platforms
It's really difficult to add a last minute ticket, it's not a very streamlined procedure. also, I wish that we could message attendees from the app. there's a lot that could be fixed to make this a much better tool for event organizers.
have bugs when setting up the event. it happens when i search for a venue and choose the venue i want.
For the most part I like this app. It has most of the features I need. Except, the app often disconnects from the server. This usually means I loose the edits made. Because the only way to reconnect is to close the app without saving and open again. This is quite frustrating. Another flaw is there's no way to add "donations" as a ticket option. Apart from those two things, the app is great.
The website and application seem to be designed in such a way that you have to jump back and forward between both in order to set up an event. This seems mostly accidental (buttons that do nothing or pages that don't load) but there is even one button on the app that explicitly tells you that "The app doesn't currently support payment options. You can set or edit this information on the Eventbrite website". I would FAR rather one of the platforms worked fully. Edit: Website is also incomplete
Not overly impressed. Despite assurances it would revert back to a previous version which did do this the newer versions still can't show at a glance the tickets sold for each date in a series. Instead l have to click into each date separately. Anything that makes the app more time consuming is a negative as far as I'm concerned, especially when l can have between 12 and 15 events each month. I've started looking at other ticket and marketing platforms. ☹️
While the app offers a lot of functionality, it does not cover all of the web interface's. It is not documented at all. Instead, you have to rely on the documentation of the web interface only to discover that things are different or just plain missing in the app. Also, the app does not expose language switching to the OS, so I am forced to use it with my OS's default language, which makes communication with others about the app more difficult. I've seen much better.
Short: Much less functionality then the website. 🙄 Long: There are so many features that I need and can't use which makes me think "what's the point?", I can't add multiple dates for an event nor can I add a donation ticket, so I end up doing everything on the Web editor and not the app. To me (for now), the only purpose of the event is to check in participants on the day at a live event. Which makes this app an extreme waste of resources & phone storage. 😴
Doesn't log in properly. Bugged system. I'm inputting my username and password yet, it still requires me to log in via an email link. Doing so opens up a browser within the Eventbrite app, which just logs me into the regular Eventbrite website, rather than the actual organiser app. Really strange bug. This email link problem also means I can't log in on iPads or anything other than my work phone. Which means having to leave my work phone with colleagues when checking people in. Silly system.
Keeps deleting my photos from posted events. Every time I tweak my event through the app with my phone, my photos from my event are gone except for the main one. Super frustrating and glitchy. It's like I can't use the app for anything. It's the second time it's happened despite everything being saved. The app and desktop version don't seem to sync
Login doesn't work, entered username+password, it says it sent a link, I click on it in Outlook to approve the 2fa and I'm still not logged into the app on my phone. But instead it logs me in on the browser. Same when I forward it to my phone and click it there. It logs me in within the mobile browser, but not the app?!? And trying to login using password already is annoying too, as it defaults to magic link (and requires pressing back button), but that also does the login outside of the app...
For some reason doesn't like to work to scan from my Galaxy s20 5fe, scans well using Galaxy S7 tablet. There's not much else the app can be useful for. The permissions and limits make it hard to do things. there seems to be no interface option to add a handheld bar scanner via USB or Bluetooth connection to the Android app! this means not being able to use a task specific device to quickly scan codes through their app. just horrible garbage!
I cannot find a way to just log in using the email and password I created for Eventbrite. When I try to log in, I get sent to a page to open my email app. The default email on my phone is not the email address associated with the Eventbrite account, and I DO NOT wish to change the settings on my phone or mix the uses of my email accounts to make the app work. I used the app for an event a few years ago and didn't encounter this problem. Super frustrating! Probably won't use this in the future.
