Fahlo Animal Tracker

They used to give you a free animal when you're animal passed away, or the tracker stopped tracking. I no longer get the option to get a new animal to track, and quite frankly that is just bad business... I have spent more money than I honestly should, for two bracelets. I am now only tracking, one animal. I think you should go back to the old method where, if your animal stopped tracking, you can get a free animal to track. The new method just makes me not want to purchase any more products.

I love the app and the tracking, but the advertisement notifications are a lot and I can't seem to turn them off. My kids have the app as well and I don't really like them being advertised to like this, especially because it's very aggressive (multiple notifications for each sale and at least one sale a week). I'd be much happier if I could turn those notifications off.

Very nice. I enjoy tracking animals. took away two stars, though. they used to give you a new animal of the same species to track when one you tracked lost their tracker. now they tell you to go buy a new one. very disappointing considering half the price of the bracelets is the animal tracking. fix this, and it's five stars.

I love the bracelets and the mission, but the app is frustrating. A “new animal track now” pop-up kept appearing and turned out to be a limited-time item for sale. Even after closing it, it wouldn’t go away unless I clicked it again. The constant pop-ups and notifications pushing purchases are annoying. Can I just track my animal in peace?

Fun and cute to track your animal and imagine it around the world. but the app needs work. It's completely silent; they should add background music of the animal's environment. Andd to the intro video. Maybe a gallery tab to see pictures of the animal(since Fahlo says you'll get photos to see of them over time). And more accurate updates like the timestamp and latitude/longitude of the GPS updates. And information of its personality. Things to make it feel homier and more personal.

I've been wanting to get involved with this app for a long time and finally got a bracelet for Christmas. I expected the tracking process to be a bit more frequent. most days have a single ping, but sometimes there are a few days between pings. I can appreciate the safety concerns though and absolutely support animal safety as the #1 priority. I was also surprised that you can't choose the species of shark you want to follow.

I love this app and have had a great time tracking my animals. BUT, I was very disappointed to learn that animals were no longer being replaced by Fahlo once trackers stop working. You now have to purchase another bracelet to replace your animal. I own 29 Fahlo bracelets!! I seriously don't need any more. It will be a sad day for me once my last animal's tracker is gone. Until then, I'll enjoy my animals. It really is a fun app! And I've learned so much from the updates.

The app is a good idea, but the actual app isn't good itself. First of all, why when my shark's tracker wasn't "sending signals" it required me to buy another one. It's unfair just to make me buy more when it's clearly not my fault my animal's tracker won't respond. For me I've had 4 bracelets break, are they just super fragile for something so expensive? My other trackers glitch and say my sea animals are miles from sea inside a house, it's just a normal occurrence. Fix these problems 😒

I really like their products and the causes they support. However, the app isn't great for shopping. After placing an order, there is no way to view it. No "My Orders" section in the app or website. *Edit* The developers responded. There still needs to be a "My Orders" implementation on the app, if the app has a store, which it does. Also, the app lets me log in using Google, the website does not. And I would not log into Fahlo with my Google password, so now I do and do not have an account.

I've had 2 animals, my first, an elephant went poof as did my app account. My second, a red panda disappeared for over a month, and now she's back and moving. I agree the number of ads is frustrating. More frustrating was taking advantage of a sale from one of the ads. I ordered 5 bracelets for gifts for friends. They arrived today with 5 sealed tracking cards labeled by region... apparently they did correspond to the bracelets, I had to open the packages in order to identify the matching cards.

if you are buying in a store these are amazing! However I would never recommend buying them directly from their website as I bought about 5 for Christmas presents and none of them came with the tracking for the correct animals. I tried to reach out to them and got a response saying we're busy right now and then nothing ever again. Obviously the bracelets are still pretty and you still get to track AN animal but if I'm paying for an elephant it's because I want to track an elephant, not a lion.

I ordered 2 bracelets in November. Had to reach out to customer support, as a few weeks later, I still had no tracking info for my order. It took me reaching out twice to get an answer. Then again on December 23, I emailed support again for receiving the wrong animal to track from what I ordered. I received an automated response and have since sent 2 more emails and have not received ONE response at all. Very poor customer support.

Based on the date the tracker was put on my turtle, the tracker lasts a year IF you get a bracelet immediately after the tracker is put on, but its more likely youll get only a small portion of its lifecycle like I did, around 6 months. Then the replacement turtle I got trackers died less than a month after I got it. The constant 'deals' (only pay shipping thats the same price as a bracelet) get annoying quickly.

Fahlo is a great idea, getting to track an animal somewhere in the world. Maybe real, maybe not. BUT it gets uninteresting by day 3. No updates beyond where they are. No Steady flow of facts provided. The app is easily forgettable as the animals themselves. Make it where every animal tracked unlocks an encyclopedia related to the animal. Every X days tracked would expand the information into interesting Chapters (i.e. habitat, diet, lifescycle. ect). Feed the user reasons to always Fahlo.

Unable to track animal due to an error of "unable to parse TLS packet header" when on wifi. Was able to travel to get cell service to make an account and log in, added the animal, and as soon as got home and ligged in, i was able to but it now keeps telling me to add animal. When i try, i get the TLS error again. Keep getting notifications the animal has moved, byt unable to see where. At keast the bracelet is cute 😐

Hardly an experience unless you pay more money. I have 3 bracelets (all purchased in July or August of this year and only 1 animal is left for me to track thats original. All Fahlo does is encourage you to buy another $20 bracelet. The penguin I had didn't even last a whole month, the whale shark almost lasted 2 months but after a while, I was able to track a new one?? But no penguin. .Very disappointed.

I like the app a lot,and it's really cool that I only have to pay once to enjoy watching a tag track an animal for however long the tag lasts. The only thing I wished there was, is a way to see how far they've moved in a day.With a whale, and it's hard to tell how far they've been going each update because he's out in the middle of the ocean with no references on how much he's moved. A small side bar of a ruler that's optional would work, just like other maps would normally have would be enough.

I am very disappointed. For a long time I have had this app as a five-star rating, it was amazing to me to be able to buy a bracelet and track an animal knowing that it went to helping the animals. Though lately a lot of my animals have been losing signal for their trackers and it used to assign you a new animal to track but now you have to buy the bracelet or stuffed animal all over again just to get a new one to track while the other sits dormant on the tracking app. Quite upsetting.

I like the company and the core of the app but what I do NOT like is the notification structure. They don't categorize any of their notifications so it's all or nothing. I would very much like to keep getting notifications about the animals I track but they send marketing notifications 1-3 times EVERY DAY! Now my choice is either freedom from marketing and not knowing what's up with the animals or getting notifications when they move but also being bombarded by unwanted ads. Very annoying.

i get like 8 notifications for the same sale every day. i can't remember when i last had an animal update notification. it's too much! i wish there was a way to block sales ads and preserve animal update notifications, because it's everything or nothing. one ad a day is fine but when the only thing this app does is send me ads for their sales and not send me info about my animals, i say this app is totally unnecessary. just use the website if you want your animal information without sales ads.
