Downloaded the app yesterday for a discount on an item. The app froze up 4 times, forcing me to close it and re-open it before I could actually get to the coupons. Then, there was no coupon for the item. The app has a coupon for $10 off a purchase of $25 today only (1/14). But when you click on it, it says "Something has gone wrong. There's been a technical issue on our end". Seems like they're betting on people getting to the register, the coupon not working, and people just paying full price.
App used to be fine. Now it's slow when scanning, IF the product comes up at all. Half the time it'll just close itself and take me to my home screen. The DG app works so much better, even tho the "in stock" might not be exactly accurate, at least it works! Seems like when customers had access to store wi-fi there were no problems. Now there's no WiFi and the app is more aggravating than it is helpful.
welllll...I was a bit disappointed! I'd checked off the digital coupons/ specials that I was purchasing, and go thru checkout, I'd thought the total was kinda HI...I get home and look at the receipt and nothing!... as if I didn't even use the app for all those great specials (that I didn't get to take advantage of after all!!!) I mean it's not as if I could go back to the store and have my purchases recognized and be handed my savings!... which was in the $20 area. disappointed!!!
It NEVER works. Not once. I've updated. Un-installed, re installed, it always gives me error messages. The fact that the store has sale prices that can ONLY be redeemed by the app is terrible marketing. With the deals they show, I'd probably do more shopping in terms of toiletries and such if I could get the coupons. It's just frustrating that it feels like it's a "you could save this, but we don't actually want you to get the savings." I can't even change my location! It just gives an error.
I have no problems with the app. It's with employees at the stores!!!, Some are great then there's a few that absolutely shouldn't be working in customer service .I have had things scan wrong and bring the tag to them and they just say oh well we have to go by the price it rings and of course they don't have the # to corporate. Also everytime they have the cereal 4 for 6 haven't gotten them once!! Even when I don't mix and match I'll get 4 the same still don't work and it's in their ad.
Maddening. Frustrating! Murderous!!!! I want to know how they can say they have made improvements. If these are your improvements, you have more work ahead of you. This app takes too long to show results from searches. It doesn't matter if I am on mobile data or WiFi. I don't have this issue with other store apps. Please fix this issue with your app!!!
This was one of my go-to apps to use because you could add items to your cart, clip coupons, and head to the store and gather what you need with no problem. The app has been updated, and now I can no longer add items to a cart. That feature has been taken away, but WHY? Coupons aren't downloading, and the app freezes more than before. This was a 5 star app. it's now 2. Bring the cart back
The new update is the worst thing I have experienced software related in years, if not ever. It absolutely defeats the entire point of using the application, which is the coupons! Your user interface is comparable to 56k websites. You no longer can easily navigate from coupon to the next. It freezes and forgets save. I The only reason why you get my business is because you have these coupons otherwise you're out priced. Fix it or you're going to lose millions. You've already 100 today from me!
You all have got to fix this app PLEASE. I'm giving 2 stars. You do have the framework but that's all. I have lots of experience with other store apps so this isn't new. I have tried several times at 2 different stores & different ways. I get "uh oh error" messages about 19 out of 20 times with items I KNOW have coupons. Confirmed by buying those items, scanning the digital coupon barcode & buying those items at my predicted costs. If I can't get it to work, I'll just shop at Dollar General.
I love that I can scan an item and it will tell me if there is a matching coupon available. I hate that this feature never works in the store. I always get "opps. Something went wrong on our end. Try again later." Every single time. Then when I try to redeem what I've clipped, half of them don't redeem and I'm holding up the line trying to figure out what happened. Also, unless the coupon excludes certain scents/flavors/varieties, it should be accepted. This turns me off to shopping your store.
I changed my rating from 2 stars to 1. The app was fixed for one week, maybe two, and I'm still unable to see the ad flyers. It makes for a frustrating experience. I'm shopping there a lot less. Also, prices don't match what is on the shelf. Sale prices ring up incorrectly. Just badly managed all around, while experience, starting with the app just isn't good.
This app is slow and inefficient. When you clip a coupon, it takes several seconds before it actually clips it. In addition, when you click into a coupon to verify the qualifying product, then attempt to return to the list, you return to the beginning of the list regardless of how far down in the list you were. This can be time-consuming and extremely frustrating, especially when you are deep within the list and/or close to the end. Finally, clipped coupons don't always sync at the stores.
One of the worst coupon apps. very unresponsive, very glitchy, freezes all the time, takes 5 minutes to clip 4 coupons, doesn't like to scan items, hard to read what price will be at register, you cannot sort prices low to high when searching, the absolute slowest I have ever used! the deals are not worth this app. I stopped shopping with it, it is useless. Usually is froze up. I have to force stop and restart several times just to clip a few coupons. If I can get it to clip coupons at all.
Decided to shop FD and get the app again, but was so disappointed. Family Dollar should take some tips from Dollar General. This app gives you the price after coupon(in red), which is confusing. Consumers should see the current in-store price when scanning, not the price after coupons. Also, ♥️ products to put on the shopping list, but only once? What if I want 2? The app should show the items you want to buy, quantity, subtotal, and total price after discounts, inc. $5 off $25. Do better.
I love this app but here lately everytime I scan an item to see if it's a qualified item for my coupon, I get an error message saying "Something went wrong on our end, please check back later". And when I check back later it still say the same thing, and that's being going on for a week now. It's so frustrating, especially when I'm trying to coupon shop and I can't tell if my coupon will work on a certain item or not. I just pray when the cashier hits total lol...hope they fix this soon!
this has become so annoying that I can't resist a review The app is constantly changing, yet it never really improves. There is no setting where more than 2 coupons can be viewed at once. This means it takes a substantial amount of time to add coupons. I have a Note 20 Ultra, so I have a very large screen. Also, the coupons often are not added even though they have been selected. The best version was the one where the scissor icon cut as you clipped. Please give us a larger viewing area.
As far as couponing goes, this is the best app I've used. I'm extremely happy with it and saving money. 👍🏻 It isn't over-complicated or full of a lot of annoying pop ups. It's easy to see the sales, clip your coupons and you can easily scan an items barcode within the app if you want to make sure it's the same item covered by the coupon. E-Z Peezy. And checkout is a breeze too. Cashier scans your bar code on your phone and coupons you've clipped to your account are applied to your total. "Money in the bank" 😊 And they don't send out alot of unnecessary notifications to your phone. Only what you'd want to know.. like sales, specials, etc. I recommend this one
When trying to scan products to see if they qualify for the coupons it always has an error message and wont scan the products. This has been causing issues with having to constantly return items or have the cashier take them off of my order. The whole point of scanning them on my phone is to make it easier for both myself and the cashier. Im also no longer able to use my free spins due to the same error message as when trying to scan products. This is ridiculous! Please fix!
Really loving this app. Not only is it easy to use but the coupons work as long as you've clipped them. I would've given it five stars but I subtracted one due to the one thing I don't like: the fact that the app goes all the way back to the first items on the page after clicking on the 'more info' button. So when I click the button to look at an item and then click back it takes me to the top of the page rather than back to the item I was viewing. A bit inconvenient. Images cld b bigger.
Love the convenience of being able to clip coupons on phone, but could be more user friendly. You can only search by brand, not keyword or item - and there's no way to delete the coupons out of your clipped coupons if they're added by accident. Would also be great if they added a "frequently used" or "suggested based on past purchases" feature. The app also sometimes gets stuck and when you try to scroll, it confuses the scroll with a link & just ends up adding more coupons into your account
