Family Island™ — Farming game

I used to love this game and have been playing it every now and then for years! Then, I took a break for about a month due to being busy to come back and see the new update. My entire home island map has been ruined! I now have more buildings than I did before but fewer things to make than before? It's like the person making the game just said here and scattered everything in one area. Also, don't see a point to the beaver corner?? I had been working on my progress for years, I'm so disappointed

I hate the update. Some good things are larger storage, faster food growth, quicker items being made, simplifying the order board, & an additional resource (beaver). The negatives are, taking away items already earned in previous versions, adding a cow feed bag, & limiting rocks, sticks, & clay to home island. Adventure stuff looks the same, but not, for ex. it's granite not rocks. That beaver is stingy & you can't get what you need, slowing progress. Regeneration is slow. The game is not fun.

As someone who has spent A LOT of money on this game, I find it increasingly frustrating to play. You can't finish adventures without constantly spending what seems to be an increasing amount of money for less energy. And now the rewards are getting smaller. (see the reward for completing the current card album.) It is fun to play, it's just hard to afford to enjoy it.

I really this game and have been playing for awhile now. With that being said, they make this game impossible to improve/build up your island without spending money. There really isn't much insensitives or "daily free items". I think this game could definitely be more enjoyable/popular if they gave more then they try & take from people. Think about easing up a little and make it fun instead of simply a "money making app".

Its been 2 weeks since I've been playing this game and I still like it, however I wish we could move the Shaman alters because I have a good decorating idea, but can't use it. If I had known we couldn't move them, I would've hid them other places. It's a simple fix for the developers. Also the amounts of stone needed for wood production doesn't make sense (i.e. you need more stones than wood for a wooden spoon!?). Other wise, I still like it. I'm changing my 5 stars to 4 only because of it.

I used to love this game but clearly they're have been updates that now create a total lack of resources to craft items which I find extremely frustrating. There's no point to waste extra energy on Expeditions as none of those resources are usable on your Home Island. I appreciate and enjoy games much more that allow true free play but now it appears you have to pay to play which is very disappointing.

downloaded this game through an offer, to get to level 30. I enjoyed it. That changed very quickly. Takes way too long to advance. when you advance the amount needed to go up another level is too high. The energies needed to complete a task also ridiculously high. It forces you to spend money so you can get energy and it doesn't go very far because of how high each task is. list of complaints is hefty. ex: you need 6 of an item but to get that you need like 3+ of 3 other items. DUMB

3 stars for now. I will update it later. I am having a hard time to upgrade everything due to limited resources. And being limited resources, to produce an item needs a lot of resources like stones, clay etc. are hard to acquire, most of the time if you're leveling up too slow, I feel frustrated. On other side, the Islands tasks which I love the most. Generous on energy and rubies but again an item requires a lot of energies too. I had already purchased a lot but we will see.

I WAS loving this game, and honestly was spending money to buy energy and increase my island. however, ever since the latest update, my game keeps crashing. sometimes it crashes out before it will even load. Other times, I only get a minute of gameplay before it crashes out. Hoping they fix this with another update. If not, I'll be off to find a new game to take my money. lol

The game really is fun and addictive however once you reach a certain level you will always, I repeat, always run out of "rocks" needed to build supplies. Either you spend a lot of Real Money on this game or you will play this game forever - ever so Slowly progressing and it will feel like you really getting anywhere. I finally decided to Uninstall and move on to a more rewarding game. They are out there.

Do Not Download!! Very disappointed in this game. I have been playing for many many years. I have spent way Too much money on this game because it is impossible to play it otherwise, once you reach a certain point. I have contacted support twice now for not receiving what I purchased. Specifically new cards. I just completed a very hard task that was supposed to reward me with a new card and did not! Support is just an AI, the same as all negative posts. Very disappointed! Uninstalling.

Really loved this game until this batch of adventure islands came out and the energy cost became excessive. From the first adventure island, (which usually is the least energy spent) the energy was already over 100 for crafting an item that is needed to continue and you would need 15 or more of each item. This is no longer fun it's just frustrating. I will be uninstalling even though I have enjoyed this game for many years.

Well, I finally got my farm going and was doing ok. Then came this upgrade. It's not all bad, but the amount of resources we need to update each facility is ridiculously high. The Island resources do not reproduce, and we don't get raccoon food for everything we use on the islands, so it's either spend money us old folks don't have or just drag along to upgrade the farm island. Oh! In order to fill the merchants and seaman's orders, we have to use the few resources we have accumulated. Sad 😔

I LOVE this game!I was just going to try it, and I didn't have any expectations...and I just fell in love with it. game play is smooth, graphics are great, storyline is cute and its easy to get lost in the game. 1 small complaint is the energy. you have to have a lot to progress and I end up buying because I want to move on. although they give you a lot... its just never enough. but over all its a really fun game! thank you devs for all you do!

I dropped a star, really I should drop 2. I was so close to coming back and amending my review to say how good the game had gotten, again. However, I hit a new level and those feelings of enjoyment have changed. The game has become tedious. The required number of items to do anything, now takes too long and become a task rather than play. This game has gone far downhill as. I cringe when I go up a level. It was fun while it lasted. this game continues to go downhill. Kills my battery.

Editing my review to reflect just how far downhill this game has gone. I used to be able to comfortably play this game for an hour or two before bed, making decent progress. That was two or three years ago. After the "beaver" update, this is now a pay to play game. You won't progress. You'll stagnate or spend your paycheck on a worthless mobile game. Just buy a nice dinner instead of playing this game.

The developer is good about taking feedback and making adjustments as best as possible. I love the new update, it took a bit to adjust to, at first I was not thrilled about the change due to the amount of progress I had before, but it slowly won me over. I love the separation of quest items and home items and how much it saves on storage. I love the amount of rewards given when working through quests. The mini games are so much fun too. Thank you for always making the game better.

I'm at level 128. and the bonus games never change. You never get big amounts first play reward is always the same. Example... Disco Party. spend 2 rubies. get 50 credits next play 50 gold bars. I've spent a small fortune playing this game. Rewards never change... You dont give you enough time to complete them before they end unless you again spend a bunch of money. GREEDY aren't you? For this i give 1 star . only because I like playing. And your response. I'm sorry you feel this way. As always

Frustrating and Impossible!! Upgrades need multiple items which need multiple items (hot cocoa, microphone for example). These items all carry high energy costs. Slow resource gain (clay, stones, iron, beaver food), events hard to achieve with little time, little to no regeneration make this a terrible game. Will be deleting when I hit 30 days or achieve my advertising goal; which seems highly unlikely.

You can't get anywhere in this game without spending A LOT of money. AVOID THIS GAME! EDIT: Since the developer generated an automated reply, I will add to the review! You NEVER have enough energy to get ANYTHING done. You need HUNDREDS of parts to update your island. You need THOUSANDS of items to get energy!! You CANNOT complete any quests, because you need 10's to 100's of thousands of energy to complete them! I quit playing this game a couple of years ago. IT IS STILL A PROBLEM NOW
