errors prevent full usage. community access in app is inaccessible and the pop up to report a bug is an endless loop of " oops! there was an error". emails from community show i have communications waiting in app, but unable to access full functionality of the app with my android phone, despite checking and confirming compatibility. this feels like it could prevent communications, sales, and matchups of local consumers and producers , causing mistrust. I hope these bugs are fixed soon.
I think the app has potential. I don't see much advertising for the app. When I mention it on farm related Facebook pages, people say they have never heard of it. My biggest complaint is that my post expires so soon. It's annoying when you have things, like eggs that are almost always in stock, and constantly have to renew the post. Maybe a reminder that it's still posted rather than a reminder that the post is about to expire would be helpful.
Easy to use and create listing. Map was not as glitchy as other users indicated. Experienced some issues with loading the map but over all a really easy to use app. There was another seller within 20 minutes of me and several within a hour. I've only used the app for a day so not sure how many buyers are on here but the concept is fantastic and with other platforms banning the sale of farm products I really want this to take off!
A Beautiful app, good experience, main complaint is lack of advertising! Put some ads in it or someway to get money to advertise because without a large amount of people using it, it's a bit lacking. There's only 3 businesses using it in my area, and if I were to guess not very many customers. I'd love to use this for my own farm but lack of advertising is killing it. Good luck and I hope to see this app successful!
I just downloaded and posted a ad. Super user friendly and I love the map simple search. This is simple app that needs to get noticed. I see only 500 ads total in the USA. Its a start. I read some of the past comments and I see their is no fee for posting and I recommend it stays that way. Just put ads on to keep this app free for users and backyard sellers. I can't believe I didn't see one honey producer post. You really need to find a way to get this app noticed.
I like this app and the concept of it but it is super glitchy. When I open it it takes forever to cycle through the items on the map and it has to finish before I can click on anything else. When it is finished loading the map never lands near me, not even close like a whole state away. There are no notifications about messages. I've received messages about items I have listed and the only reason I see them is if I go in and look for them. This makes selling hard.
Y'all need this app!! Early reviewers need to give it another go and update their experiences. Haven't had any problems except I need more jars because I'm finding all the things!!! It's a great way to find other people and even share your abundance. I would like to see a version/upgrade without ads...but that's just ny preference. I know being a free app comes with need for ads. Thank you for this!
No problems with maps. My issues are ability to delete current listing pics when i want to add new pics. Also, when sharing to facebook, i need to share a certain item with its pic and description, not just a link to "get farmish" i want to be able to share my products to a fb page and especially to my stories. I dont know that anyone has even visited my store from the unnoticeable share it allows. Also, the dashboard is not in mobile form... only a quater of it is viewable.
Needs development. Neither the mobile site, nor the app seem to run very well. I cant even tell if the search is finished and im just looking at the 12 only listings in the US, or if it's still processing something else and just hanging. Im keeping it installed, and will be watching for updates. I was looking forward to being able to list multiple goat and chicken products as well as vegetables later.
Great app, lacking developer input on the business side of things. Really enjoyed this app for the past couple of years. Then they instituted the subscription plans for the farmers, and we went from dozens of listings nearby to zero, and they never came back. Which is sad because the wholesale side of the app could have been revolutionary. Asking too much too early, should have just included ads instead. I'll be keeping an eye on farmish for years to come, fingers crossed for improvement.
Great idea, a lot of bugs. The "shareable" link doesn't work- I can't copy it. I tried retyping it and it doesn't work. Today I clicked on the link under the edit profile section and it takes me to a page saying that the page doesn't exist. I can't get users in my area if I can't spread word of the app. And I can't advertise my goods if no one can access my page.
Needed app, needs refinement. Include more instruction, ex: profile has a blank that just says "Facebook," without any hint as to whether you want a url, a @ name, a page. Needs more categories, ex: dairy, more variety of meat animals, pasture-sharing might be worthwhile, didn't see options for hay, etc. Your free limit of two ads will not be sufficient to compete with Craigslist and Hitchpin. Good luck with this project - I hope developers are sincere and not just harvesting personal info.
This app is growing and getting better and better EVERY Day! The more people offering items up the better it gets. I cannot wait for spring when I will have TONS of stuff, not just eggs to offer up! If your dedicated to farm to table or you want to be in control of where your food comes from, this is the place to start! You will be amazed where just one purchase here will lead you. Way more connected and present than the grocery store.
Farmish has great potential, but the execution is lacking. The app has always had issues, but I was able to use it successfully until recently. Now I cannot renew or create listings without an unable to save listing error.
Was okay for my state when the listings didn't expire for a long time. Now it's only 14 days and 3 listings for free OR $300. There aren't even 50 listings (6 were mine) in my whole state and no customer has contacted through this app in the 7-8 months I have had it. I gave an extra star because there is still a free option that may be worthwhile for some.
I immediately made an account hoping to be able to see some local farmers in my area (knowing there are most definitely many more than I know of) and It keeps assuming I'm in Detroit (close but not quite, I'm in Ohio.) and will not load the map for me to even be able to see the map of my local area let alone load farms for the area, extremely slow, nearly impossible to use. Would love to be able to use it though.
I am rooting for you. Get this app fixed up and I'll list all my eggs, calves, chicks and more. We need this right now. Really appreciate the effort. I can't get it to load well yet and can't click any one he drop menus of other options. Map is slow. You've got this though! I'll be back to check in!
I really want it to work, I love the idea so much. The app is very glitchy, I haven't been able to get it to work yet. It takes at least 3-4 tries for it to let me log in, and from there none of the buttons work and I can't search or do anything else. I have a Samsung Galaxy 20, it's not my phone. I'll redownload in a month or so to see if there's any improvement.
Made it 1 star so you're more likely to see it. Have the login page be separate from the search page and have it load before the search page ever appears. That seems to be causing a lot of issues and I'm not able to make an account because the app can't load the sign up page after the login pop-up appears.
Great app! Just a little glitchy. There's not many people in my area selling, in in VA. So of course I posted eggs for sale, and will be posting chicks soon! Love this app. Will give 5 stars, when the glitches stop. I believe it's the map that's glitchy so much, maybe remove it, or have a button to turn it off. Just a suggestion of course. Besides that so far so good.
