Fast Notepad

This was the best notepad app I had ever found. I put it on every one of my devices, in the center of the main screen, and I raved about it to everyone who asked. It was simple and effective and that's all I needed and it was perfect. Now they've stuck ads into it, and they're big intrusive annoying ads that don't go away easily. I'd be happy to chip in a few bucks and pay for this app, but there's no way to pay, you're just stuck with these horrible ads. What a tragedy.

This app used to be so great. They started adding full page timed ads a couple years ago. I still use this time to time, but there's so many better notepads now. Dear creator, please fix this, or at least give like an option for a very cheap lifelong no ads thing like you used to have it. I understand wanting money, but this is almost not usable. I'm sure many others like myself just close the app every time an ad pops up making it even more unusable anyway...

I like that the app is fast indeed, and that it requires no special permissions. However, it lacks basic functionality such as file renaming, text search, etc. I also dislike the fact that I can't locate the text files created by the app on my device outside the app, by using a file manager. No idea where this app stores the files on my device!

So, it's very useful and somewhat easy to use, albeit it would be nice if it had a list function. It can be annoying if you are writing something longer than one screen when it comes to trying to get to the bottom or top. I also cannot get the backups to import after doing what it says and trying to load them in, which is incredibly annoying after having to get a new android phone. If those few things weren't so inconvenient, I'd give it another star, but they are, and so I'm giving it 3/5.

This is a great app for writing down what's on your mind. I do that and then transfer it after I've spell checked it, proof read it, etc. You can cut and paste to AND from websites such as YouTube, Quora, etc. I've written nearly 200 LONG notes and had not one single glitch! No disruptive pop up ads, either! It's basically an endless blank sheet of paper that is limited in length by your desire to write. The only addition I could think of would be to add a word counter. Overall a great app!

I wanted this app so I can quickly send email notes. But it won't send the emails. It just stores them in a file. The password function cannot be turned off and it takes a very long time to pull up this app then put in the password. In order to write an email you're better off just going to your email server and writing one. With an app this time consuming they should not be naming It Fast Notepad. That is very deceptive. I will be deleting it.

( Used to work great, now doesn't open ) For starters, I have never rated the Fast Notepad app, and I for sure didn't give it a 1 star or input the comment above. It seems someone else did it for me without my consent and is forcing me/us senior citizens to rate it due to my Notepad when I'm using it, is jumping up and down like a rubber ball. I love the ease of use on this app, otherwise I would have ditched it a long time ago for another.

Folders and color coding is nice. Using the first line as the title is okay, I'd prefer an actual title bar. My biggest issue is the lack of organization. I went to a different app even though I prefer this one for the most part; we need to be able to rearrange a custom order, and sort by ttle name, date created, and date modified. This would make it 5 star in my opinion.

I've used this app for years and love that it's simple and minimal and clean. That being said, the full screen ads (a relatively recent feature) are incredibly disruptive and often cause me to lose my train of thought. I understand that everyone's gotta make a living, but if you're going to have full screen ads (or any ads at all) please give users the option to pay to remove them! I would pay (a small, one-time price) to have those ads banished from this app!

I've been using this awesome app for years and made some pretty extensive lists of various things that I wouldn't remember, like dimensions or part numbers, etc. I recently went to a new phone and was surprised that this program didn't transfer to the new phone like many of my other apps. I dug around and found that it's possible to import everything to your new phone and was thrilled when I reopen the program and everything that I had typed on the old phone was now on my new phone. Awesome!

Was looking for something to replace my sticky note widget for my ideas/list of items to buy. This is an extremely quick app, simple, and extremely user freindly! I like the folder function as it allows me to organize everything into categories. I like the different color themes, & how the dark theme also allows darker colors. The "Write something down" thing at the top of the notification bar is neato! For now it gets 4 stars as I'm afraid something will happen to the app and lose all my lists.

WAAAAAAAY too many ANNOYING ads! Early versions never had a single ad. Period. Now they pop up a lot. The worst part is that you often cannot stop the ad!! A 20 - 30 sec ad that you absolutely CAN'T stop is ridiculous & bothersome! My early version of this very program (ver. 2.0.9) I rated 5 STARS. This version, although exactly the same features, can only be rated 3 stars solely because of the annoyance. Buyer beware. However, this is a very good, nearly flawless app. Otherwise love it a lot!

Pro's: Nice, easy to use.. One of my favorite notepads. It's really up to the person what they like. Some are goofy, othets are spectacular. This one is simple & basic, what I'm looking for. Con: It could use a scrolling tab, handy when going through a phone list. Takes awhile to keep flicking with your finger ! Doesnt transfer notes with the app. ( i suppose many don't ) I keep a few copies with Google documents & another basic notepad.

Quit searching for a reliable notepad; you won't find one unless you download this one, it's the best. Out of the hundreds of notepads I've used, not one even comes close to measuring up to Fast Notepad. Last week my phone broke and I assumed all my notes were gone for good like they always are whenever my phone breaks in the past, but I was wrong; this notepad is the first one to actually keep everything without making me jump through hoops to get it back. To the developer: Thank you so much!!!

I'm going to place 5 Stars next to this app. Very easy to use and not at all complicated. If you need to jot down phone numbers, grocery items, to-do lists, items for vacations, camping or backpacking trips, gift/present shopping for the holidays or birthdays, Fast Notepad has got you covered. Forget those day planners, blank notebook pads or just some simple scratch paper that you can never find. Same goes for those broken pencils and ink pens that dry up and never work anyway, get this app.

My app locked up after the last update. It will not open the files I saved. It just locks up. 8/16/21 it finally works. Whatever you did thank you! This needs to be able to save with an extension so it can be read by other means if and when it crashes again. Was unable to read backup file because there was no extension on the file. Please put a feature to copy and paste to another file.

I've been using for years. It's a nice, simple note app that allows for taking quick notes. It also allows for easy organization. I would give the app 5 stars for it functionality. HOWEVER... Recently the ads have become extremely intrusive. They used to be mostly banners at the bottom. Now they are timed, full-screen annoyances. I am seriously considering looking for a different app because of the ads. (-2 stars)

Today it decided to serve me an ad after every note I open and then close out. That's a bit to invasive, especially considering I had seen maybe a handful of ads since I first installed it. A 1-star rating is unreasonable; the ads aren't the function of the app. I would pay for an ad-free version though. The app itself is great. UI is clean and easy to navigate. Does exactly what I need it to do and it does it great.

I just installed this app on my new phone, having used it for years on my old phone. I love the simplicity and ease of use of it. The old version on my old phone allowed me to copy the notes to my PC in clear text. Each note transferred as a separate text file. I am disappointed that I cannot continue to do that -- the only option is to export all notes in a "database", email it to yourself, then import it to another Fast Notepad app, but there doesn't appear to be a way to extract the notes easily to your pc. I've tried an Android emulator (BlueStacks) but it can't import the file. Otherwise this is an awesome app.

Simple easy to use & not invasive. Only drawback is that it needs a "trash" folder to be able to recover a deleted note if you accidentally delete something. Once deleted, it's not recoverable. This is bad bad bad. All text & typing programs have some sort of recoverable trash folder. At the least a warning/confirmation pop-up window that you're about to delete it. C'mon developers!! This is crucial & so simple to fix! The ads are annoying, but that's a given for a free app.
