Ad interrupted the middle of the very first puzzle I tried. That's an unbalanced amount even for a free game. If it only had ads between levels, level resets, and to gain boosters that would be understandable, but not in the middle of a level. It costs $4.99 to remove ads, but it will be too annoying to play enough to determine if I enjoy the game enough to want to purchase "no ads." Uninstalling.
I love the challenge of Figgerits, but the number of ads is ridiculous. I can be in the middle of a game and then "ad break" pops up and I have to sit through an ad that takes 3 to 4 exit buttons to get out of. Then after each game there are 1 to 2 ads before I can move on. Other than the number of ads, I like the game. But I don't play for long periods of time because I waste so much time on ADS!!!
Used to love this game but with the amount of ads it makes it hard to continue playing. Also having to fill in the letters in the quote instead of it autopopulating like it used to was the worst change you could make. I'm not wasting a power up on something the game should be doing. And I lost all of my progress after the last update I did so I'll probably just uninstall this game. it's a real shame because this game concept is really fun but I fear we have strayed too far.
I used to love this game, but the ads have gotten overwhelming. They now have ad breaks during a level instead of just in between levels. You can now also only mess up 3 times before you either have to restart the level or watch an ad to continue. It's frustrating, especially if it's just an accident. Plus, when a word is complete, it no longer registers on the sentence above, you have to add it manually, and if you click the wrong letter, it counts as one of the 3 attempts.
Game's ok, but not like it used to be. It was one of my favorites, but haven't played in a while. Now there are WAAAY too many ads. You can't even prefill other words with the letters from a clue you answered without having to watch ads. It used to do it automatically. I'm probably going to delete it so that I can have room to download another game that I actually spend more time playing than I do watching ads. Very disappointed with change.
Started out great and 5 star worthy. After playing just a little while, lots & lots of ad breaks in the middle of a single game. You watch so many ad breaks, it takes forever to play a single game. So, one star. In response to the developers No Ads option is the developers way of getting you to pay. I am not against the ads to keep the game free. I am against the ad breaks in middle of game. I am ok w/before and/or after game and hints. Just remove from during game.
I downloaded this about a year and a half ago and it was really fun and the only time you had to watch an ad was when you needed and extra tip. it's been a while since I played so I played it the other day and now it's an ad before you start a level and it interrupts the game for an "ad break" it's ridiculous. uninstalling.
The sheer amount and length of ads makes this game unenjoyable. I get that revenue is generated by ads,and is needed, but this amount and length makes the developer appear more interested in making a buck, than putting out a genuinely great product. Additionally, if you get a letter wrong, it does not give you a chance to look over the puzzle and correct it, before submitting it....it goes straight to one of those looong ads! I do not recommend this game, in it's current form.
It's okay at best. The clues you are trying to solve have nothing to do with the theme of the puzzle. The clues are mostly too easy. There's little challenge in this game. The ads sometimes break and can't be closed, forcing you to quit out of the app. I really like the concept of this game, but the way it's designed it feels exploitive and little care had gone into the actual puzzles. -UPDATE- The ads are unbearable. Often minute long unskippable ads. I can't play this anymore.
Before the last update, we were forced to watch an advertisement, it was short but personally it was ok for me. After today's update! The game will force you to watch a long advertisement when there's a wrong character or all the progress of the game will be reset. This is annoying and very bad experience. I have to uninstall the game, because I can't play like this.
So far, the game is enough of a challenge to keep me interested. I've even explored the German language version, and have noticed several grammatical and spelling errors, answers within the question, extra letters within words. I suppose the best solution for that, would be to include a link on the pages with errors. This link would report errors and provide easier access to where they are found. Other than that, the ads are okay and don't get in the way of game-play.
You need to do something besides a pop up to offer a bigger puzzle if you watch an ad. I cannot read the fun fact before the pop up is there blocking it. I then have to decide whether to watch the ad and play the bigger puzzle or skip it so I can read the fun fact about the puzzle I just played. Some of these fun facts are very interesting, but I also like the bigger puzzles.
It's a good game!! However, I could not deal with the ads. I thought there was a lot for my liking and decided to look elsewhere for puzzles. The puzzles themselves are fun and really make you think at times and that is why I gave it 4 stars! If you, too, love puzzle games but do not like ads, I suggest looking at Cryptogram Letters and Numbers.
5 stars for the idea, minus two for execution. I won't go into all of them, but I wish it were a bit more taxing mentally, more of an intellectual workout. This feels like a kid's game. Also the ads aren't as extreme as some reviews make it seem, but they do sometimes pop up a little quickly. I think with some tweaks this could be one of the best games out there, like a blend of crossword, cryptogram, and trivia, but it's not there yet.
I just started playing this game & I'm disappointed that as I fill in the clues, the game also fills in the statement at the top (the answer). I want to be able to do that myself. That's the best part and it creates another opportunity for human error besides solving the clues incorrectly. This should at least be offered as an option in the game. I'm uninstalling it right now after playing only two games. It's too easy and idiot-proof to be any fun at all.
Boring. This is not challenging. At the beginning of each round there is a made up stat about the percentage of people who can complete the puzzle, but it's clearly false. Really -- if you want people to feel special, include puzzles beyond a 3rd grade understanding. To be clear -- you don't have to know the answers to any of the clues. You only need a fraction and the puzzle completes itself.
I really want to like this game. The puzzles are great, the facts (although I figured I really wouldn't care about them, are actually pretty interesting. BUT there is more ad-time than game-time. If I have a lot of downtime, or if I am watching TV while playing, I will endure it...it REALLY is a good game. I don't mind watching ads for some games (this would be one). But either let us at least play twice between ads or shorten the lengths of the ads.
Until recently I was really enjoying the game. Not too difficult, occasional ads but that's fine. But since getting a new phone and updating the game they've ruined it. Now the main phrase doesn't complete as you work out the words and they've put in a 3 strike system, so get 3 letters wrong and you fail and have to watch another ad. It's turned what was a relaxing word puzzle into a frustrating experience and completely ruined it.
Having a 30+ second ad after every puzzle is ridiculous. This app is clearly trying to bully you into paying the $5 no ads fee. I started instead closing the app after every puzzle before the ad started. Since I was forced to wait 30+ seconds between puzzles each time anyway, it might as well be on my terms and not giving them money. The game itself is fun. The constant ads make the app unusable and I won't be coerced into paying $5 for peace. So instead I'll be uninstalling.
The game has a great concept but there are many flaws. First, there are a ridiculous amount of ads. You'll be watching ads just as much as you will be playing. Secondly, there's no score system and your quotes aren't saved. In fact, I've seen the same quotes for multiple levels. There's no progress to make, just random stuff, and most of the educational stuff is on a 3rd grade level.
