This app is basically a pay to use, with most features to actually edit your video well being trapped behind a paywall. Plus, the drafts don't save all of your work most of the time. I once spent at least an hour editing a video then came back to all my work gone. Not to mention how laggy the drafts are half the time, and if you don't want to pay to use the app, too bad! Everything you need to edit, you have to pay for.

This used to be my favorite app. I've been paying for a monthly for a long time. I was an early adopter on PC and paid for a lifetime license. recently they deducted almost 10,000 AI credits from my account. the consistently find ways to take away features from early adopters because we're not paying them anymore money. Even though I pay a monthly payment for the mobile app. Now I crammed every time I see the name filmora. Do yourself a favor and stay away. zero stars.

Paid a for the subscription cuz I used this app a while back and it was good but now it's just constantly having some kind of issue with the sound on every single video I try to edit and have to run the videos through a video converter to even make it work with this app. Robotic buzzing noises or just no sound at all. The developers need to make this app work with more audio formats so this isn't an issue. The videos are in MP4 and captured directly on steam.

I could not cancel!! I was billed after the 3-day trial for $42. Although I tried to cancel within the 3-day. They are not compliant with Google policy. So there is no way to cancel. I have been trying to cancel because text to AI only lasts a max of 8 Seconds and you have to keep upgrading to get more credits. According to the "Refund Policy" I will not be receiving a refund. If I could upload pictures I would.

I tried adding a song I just downloaded to my video, and Filmora couldn't find it in any of my files. What is the point of trying to add songs or sound effects if Filmora doesn't accept any of the audio files you downloaded? Within seconds I just downloaded a song, an MP3 file, which is supported by Filmora, and the app couldn't locate the recently downloaded file. There is no reason to download this incapable piece of video editing software, when it doesn't support "supported" files.

In order to use you have to pay first, but there's a free trial. Great! I check it out, decent introducion. Go to use, and the AI doesn't follow the script at all. It doesn't even produce the correct background. Also, I don't like that you can't just make a video. I'm sure you can mute the AI voice over and music, but considering the video was never correct I never bothered to check, but the fact it's built in kinda sucks.

Got charged for a "free trial" This app said it came with a free trial when you sign up, then it charged me for the first month immediately! It also gives you credits to use (not unlimited use) which would be kinda ok but it charges you credits even when it fails to do anything. At least give me a retry button! Why am I getting charged for it's failure? A zero second black screen video, woo awesome. It has potential, but needs work.

Tried this app a few times. Sometimes works, sometimes does not. Get charged either way. Text to video will stall at 90%. If you close and reopen, it will charge you again and then stall at 90%. If the network goes down, it will charge you credits. If it has any failure, it will charge you credits. Too unstable and expensive. Seems pretty shady to charge when it fails. Why make it work when they can take your money and give you nothing in return?

Constantly bombards your phone with notifications no matter how long it's been since you've used it. Spamming your users with random notifications and advertisements is not okay. I don't need to see 'hello, how are you' from an app for the hundredth time after I've used it just once... or ever. I guess at some point I was just curious if they'd ever fix this and over the course of a year and a half since install, over 5000 notifications. Come on, Filmora devs. Fix that.

Reached out to the developers before posting a review - responded initially, but not after I sent them all the info they requested. Thought this app would be great, but I can't get sound to export. Which is pretty essential to the videos I was trying to edit. This should not be a tricky thing to figure out. I'm very upset, especially because I paid for the "pro" version.

I enjoy Filmora, and have lots of fun using the app, but sometimes the AI video generator messes up at times, wasting my credits. It would be wonderful if Filmora can feature an unlimited credit pack, I would pay any cost. Just in case something goes wrong with the AI prompt generator, I can be able to try many times to get it right without having to worry about running out of credits.

If you do not care about money, you may ignore the review. I paid the service for USD 49.99 on July 22, 2024. When I saw the invoice it charged me additional download insurance service fee 4.95. I am a software developer, I always pay attention for those hidden fees, but still got trapped. After trying features, I did not find some features I need and had to pay more for AI credit. I decided to cancel the subscription on the same day, but still got charged a week later. It charged you unexpected

Update, Sep 6th 2025. Is has being a couple of months, having issues with the app, sometimes when I hit the play button, it doesn't work, and also when I want to add captions, it doesn't work, I'm getting frustrated knowing that I pay for the membership. It' getting really annoying when you're trying to edit a video and something is not working. I like the app easy to use and many features. I wish there was a way to know what sounds are non copyright.🤔PLEASE FIX THE ISSUE. THANK YOU.

I was pleasantly surprised, it was way faster and easier than using movie studio on the pc. Very nice interface. Update 8/7/19: For some reason wont show new folders and files unless it came directly from the camera app. I have a folder and mp4 files from a screen cap app it doesnt show. It did in the past. reinstalling...No change. It does show the folder under photos tab (has 1 photo on it) but not videos.

Easy to use and lots of options. I like the updates. They need to make it simpler to add my music. One of the updates makes it more difficult. (Edit) 11/28/23. I paid for my second year to use this app and a few weeks later Filmora logo shows up on my video. The contact me link doesn't work. I was finle able to send an email and was told to delete it and reinstall. I lost 200 videos. I really like this app but I'm done. It could have been a quick fix.

Not a fan. Started to get sloppy as clips were added. Could be great for short length clips. But certainly not full length videos. I would cut clips to be shorten, only to have them still be full length within the app. Also didnt like audio fading at the end of clips. A lot of words would be cut off as a result. Would not recommend if trying to make longer 5-10 minutes videos .

Almost ALL of the effects and filters are Pro. Plus there is a persistent Watermark. Apps like Cap-Cut have many more fitters and effects and No Watermark. This is a money grab by Filmora. Get anything else. It's better than this. EDIT: I don't need to purchase your app to see the differences. They are all right there to see. Yours is the same framework as the other good editors, just costs a whole lot more.

Horrible. It's a great app when your editing and having a nice time but the second you try to save, it gives you a load of garbage on your computer and next thing you know you've spent the past to hours trying to save a video because you have to "export it" which by the way doesn't work big waste of time. So I try to use the app except, I can't sign in! Wow! Shocking plot twist I know, so here I am warning you that this app is just one big money monster waste of time.

The previous (free) version of this app was everything I needed to create time lapse videos/tutorials for my cake business. Most importantly, I could speed up/slow down the videos and adjust volume/record voiceovers. I saw that these features were not included in the new version of this app... so I went ahead and paid for the pro version, assuming they had to be included. Well, they weren't. So I canceled my Pro subscription, and now I am sadly on the hunt for a few video editing app.

I've been using it for a while now. I can edit and upload to YouTube fairly easy. Saves time over moving a raw video to a PC. The PC doesn't have the horsepower of my phone anyway, although on the PC I may have a more full featured editing and rendering software. But I try to keep my videos simple, short and sweet, perhaps throwing in some text, some filtering occasionally, always trimming, etc.
