FilmRise - Movies and TV Shows

This seems to be a really good app for watching free movies and TV shows, and not the lame 'free domain' stuff either. Some reviews I've read complain of long buffering times, but during the few hours I have used Filmrise it hasn't buffered once, and I'm using my cellular data, not Wi-Fi. The only complaint I have so far is that I can't save movies or shows to a list to watch later, nor does it save my place in the movie. Only 1 star to go guys. Very simple fixes would make Filmrise shine even brighter!

Very good mix of free movies, series and documentaries. Software is full of bugs and clumsy. Sometimes you can build a queue, sometimes the app malfunctions and you can't add to a queue. The best shows don't show up under any genres. I've only been able to locate them with direct title searches. Where is "Blandings"? Where is "Wycliffe"? All the worst programming is highlighted.

The choice of movies is decent. I'm not adverse to ads, I know how it works and it's necessary to keep it free, but 34 minutes into a movie and we've already had 6 ad breaks! 3 ads at a time, with a loading break between for each ad, and the ads are at least double the volume! It dramatically and detrimentally affects my enjoyment. I find Tubi infinitely more enjoyable with much less frequency, volume, and loading time for their ads.

I gave the app 1 star because of the commercials. They are ridiculous. They are played too often. They are played at an increased volume ( much louder than the program) and at best they are intrusive. They ruin the the viewing experience. I have to reduce the volume when they start and turn the volume back up when the program starts again. They are the reason I don't use this app very often. I watch other apps where the commercials do not assault you.

I like this app a lot because for free it offers a well rounded variety including foreign film and documentaries many of which I've never seen and that are of interest to me. I don't care that its offerings are "old school" which I find much better than some of the predictable cookie cutter trash that's been released in theaters for the past 10 or more years. I would have given a 5 star rating, but the major complaint I have is that there are way too many ad interrupts in which the same ad gets repeated at least 5x in a row.

I installed the app a couple of days ago, watched one movie, but now when I try to watch a movie it had to refresh every few seconds, can't make it past a couple of minutes of that before it just becomes not worth watching. But, I do like your movie selections. Maybe it's just my phone having this problem, but I don't have this problem with other movie apps, so I guess I'll uninstall this app and go back to the others.

First, the app does provide a lot of entertainment with commercial interruptions. That would be OK except for one thing. They don't regulate the sound on the commercials. The actual shows have very low sound. Sometimes, I have to crank my TV volume to max just to hear the show and then quickly hit mute when the commercials start.

Fix your app. I don't mind commercials but often it cuts to commercials, plays a ridiculous amount and freezes to a black a screen which forces you to back out and hit resume on the time stamp that the show went to commercials. The show will play for few seconds and then bam right back for another round of commercials, which surprise freezes to a black screen again, forcing you to back out and hit resume. Makes me wonder if this is intentional. Again, please fix your app.

The programming is great. The ads are unfortunate and relentless. Quite often, the same ad plays 5 times in a row. Other times, 3 times the same ad, then another one runs twice. It causes me such anxiety that I can't even enjoy a simple show like Highway to Heaven. I think the powers that be can do a lot better. Are they even watching?

An excellent option than paying Netflix about $18 without ads. This service is free and I find the movie content to be usually better than Netflix. I have found this service, The CW, Classic Movies and TV, and Xumo providing enough content to avoid having Netflix.

there is buffering! I'm having trouble going to the next episode . ever since the updates this is all occurring. one month later I'm still having buffering and it doesn't go to the next episode. I'm sorry but I'm going to move you down to two stars.⭐⭐☹️

it was crashing, then I updated the app it was still crashing so i turned off my phone and it still crashing then I uninstalled and re installed the app and it still crashes, I think it has a bug in the app.

Works great on my phone. Laptop loads but can't seem to watch anything.. I've an old Huawei MediaPad 5 lite. 2018.. It's a wreck. Tablet got bits missing. Screen is cracked and chipped and there's lines across the screen. Chucked in the drawer. Thought i wonder. Yes it does perfectly. Picture a bit cloudy but that's my device. That alone is worth 5* In fact I wrote this review on it. Lol. Doesn't work properly on phone. You suddenly get another video playing in the background

Easy to rate this app with all 5 stars!! The overall quality of the app as a whole is pretty amazing--ESPECIALLY since it's FREE- ((Im talking about this being REAL free, not "bait & lie-free" haha; the kind of "free" that has limitations &/or conditions & usually end up costing $)) Besides the content, which I was pleasantly surprised to see that much of a variety btw, but I absolutely love the way they have everything organized & categorized. Very user friendly & super easy to navigate!

Don't waste your time with loading this app onto your firestick. When you choose a movie, you'll spend more time watching adverts than the film you chose to watch. There's an advert every 5 minutes or less and the breaks last for at least five minutes. If you had to pay for the app it would more than qualify for a scam. I'm deleting it from my list of apps, so that I'll never load it again.

So far, this app seemed pretty awesome. since I downloaded it 24 hours ago I have been binge-watching several shows, and I keep finding new things I want to watch right away I'm pretty impressed with this app!!

I was really happy with this app, but now it has started to malfunction. in the middle of a show, it starts playing another one on top and so I get the two dialogues at the same time. it's very frustrating. I uninstalled and reinstalled and continue to have this problem.

Lots of decent content but why a single bar on my phone with endless side scrolling?!?! Everyone hates side scrolling! Why did everyone adopt this hellish way of browsing content that doesn't allow full use of the larger vertical screen?! Can one of you content providers please change this?!
