The app is not free, but there is a three day trail. Unfortunately, the app shows every Bluetooth around you, and if you live in an apartment complex, it's difficult to figure out what you are looking for. I finally found my Fitbit just looking for it myself. I really think this app would be amazing in a house. Or other individual location. But in a crowded location it's hard to use.
Helpful. Even though it would be great to have an app that would just know and tell us where we left something, identifying location within 3 meters was still helpful. Once I got close enough, I began digging like a badger and then I remembered I was last using it when i had difficulty opening my bedside table drawer. Opened it up, low and behold. I found it!
The app is easy to start. There are a few issues. When the signal drops, the app tells you to "go back where you started". The BT signal is intermittent, so it consistently drops and reconnects. The message should be to *wait in place for up to 15 seconds or go back where you had a connection before*. There is no way to eliminate identified devices from the search screen, or to label those devices, so you may find yourself tracking an iPad while looking for an earbud.
I lost one of my earbuds while doing some moving and was able to find it , after searching in the dark for hours I tried this ,this app saved me a lot of trouble and lead me right to it. It's proximity based so best if you have some idea where you lost it . The best part was my earbud wasnt connected for hours and it woke it up to find it. The app was able to hone in about 50 ft out . The best, app 5 stars, I'd give 6 if I could. Thank you !!!
Absolutely outstanding! Anyone with a Samsung Note, this app is a MUST HAVE! I lost my stylus and despite the proximity alarm, as many of you know, there's no way to know exactly where it is. UNLESS YOU HAPPEN TO HAVE THIS APP!! In just a few minutes, with a little trial and error, it took me directly to where I had dropped my stylus behind the couch. I NEVER leave reviews, but this app did exactly what it said it would, and saved me countless future dollars. Thank you so much dev's!
That was amazing, or maybe I'm just very easily impressed; but, after trying and trying to get my new phone to connect to a Bluetooth speaker i have used for a few years, only to have it time out looking for it...this app found the existing speaker in about 5 seconds. Fine, I have to deal with ads, Bluetooth couldn't help me, this app did. I'm also not a tech idiot, this was just really easy!
I dont know about the paid version, but the free version is utterly useless. The signal was constantly dropping off no matter what i did, there was no way to actually figure out which device i was looking at, and the number of ads made it so that any attempt to work throught the list of devices was pointless because the list would be nearly entirely different by the time the ad was done.
It doesn't tell you the name of the different devices. It has a long list all called unknown device 1, 2, 3, ecetra. It tells you if you are getting warmer or colder instead of a map which I also didn't like. I had to watch an ad just to get to the meter which didn't work because it didn't even change as I was walking around.
Absolutely TERRIBLE. Not only does it not work, but it makes you sign up for a free trial that you can't stop through the app. And their customer service isn't just non responsive, their email in the app does not exist! AND, they have charged my card WEEKLY, rather than the promised monthly! This is a SCAM. Edit: Use Bluetooth Scanner by Zoltan Pallagi. WAYYY better than this awful thing.
Can not tell which device it is searching for. You're just walking around your room, pointing your phone at things, and trying to figure out what you are looking for. Then there are so many ads in the free version that you can hardly use the ap. Then it showed a very adult ap, I know these things are supposed to show you ads based on your device's history, but I can 100% guarantee my phone never uses any of that stuff!! Deleted it immediately after that!
I tried using this device to track my Fitbit. Definitely not suited for the purpose; it picked up every wifi device in a three house radius, but distinguishing non-Apple or computer products from one another is very difficult. I have no idea what Mac address my fitbit has, so it didn't help me narrow it down. Tag your results when you know where the devices are, that helps. This isn't really suitable as a Tile replacement or something.
I lost my headphone in a general area. The ads not only prevented me from finding my earphone. But when taking steps the app would not refresh. But a ad would pop up instead. The hot and cold feature hardly updated. When I was getting warmer the app went cold no matter which way I went. Even if I took a few steps in any direction an waited withing a 30 foot radius which my headphone would have connected. But, this app fails to help locate the user in a general direction. Being unhelpful.
It's so good I had slept to Spotify with my earbuds in and when I woke up I couldn't find them but with the it took me on the right track along with a volume booster so I can hear the music playing. I suggest they should have their own sound to play in the headphones that would definitely make it a lot easier, like there's a button to use that says play sound
Got a list of MAC addresses. Picked one to see if I could figure out what device it was. Could not go back to the list of devices, so I hit "I found it." Then the app insisted I name the device and provide a value--dont care and none of your business anyway. Soft-locked. Could not leave w/o providing an app rating. Well here's your rating. Uninstalling.
This actually worked ☺️. I lost one of my Skullcandy ear buds outside at least 2 weeks ago. I nearly gave up on them. I was surprised that my phone paired with the device. I decided to search Google for an app. This was the first one to try. I'm glad that it actually works. This app is ad supported, but it makes no sense why it's not integrated into the ear buds platform or the android platform. So useful.
IT WORKED !!! omg i was trying to find the fitbit that the cat stole. Could hear the buzz when alarm went off but couldnt find it. This app was recommended. And it really works!!! There is just 1 thing i would change. For us less tech savvy people is there a way to put name of device or description? I had to go through so many bt addresses because it was also picking up my neighbors devices. Thank you so much for creating this app💖💖💖💖
Definitely found my television. Right were I left it, in my bedroom. Everything else has a super weak connection and just disconnected instantly. Not sure how well this works for a full earbud case, my intended use, but it sure works on finding tvs. Also -stars for forcing me into a trial to use the app.
Useless due to the constant ads. And while I happily pay for apps I like this one is $13.85 USD PER WEEK after a 3 day trial! SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS PER YEAR! On top of that the info displayed is not sufficient for the task at hand. Does not show Bluetooth device names, only indecipherable addresses. A complete scam hoping people forget to cancel for a couple of weeks. Avoid at all costs.
It was helpful at first, but eventually became less and less helpful, I've been searching for roughly 20 minutes at this point and I don't think an app has made me more annoyed. I appreciate the [Cool-Mild-Hot] detector thing, but it doesn't help when I've been getting Hot ~2 metres for over four minutes and it doesn't even help. At first, I thought it was because there was only natural light in my room, so I turned my big light on and it was the same result regardless. irritating
Cannot find bluetooth earbuds, that are switched on and connected to my phone, so definitely not able to find them when they are switched off. Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I don't have any more info. It just says no device found, try moving around. I tried moving around, I tried switching the device off an on again, I tried a second device and it couldn't detect either of them when they were right next to my phone. I then downloaded a different app and it detected both devices.
