took a class earlier this year, super informative and helpful. this app will also guide you through signs and symptoms. how to give care and what not to do! if you are trained or getting trained soon, get this app!
It's been hit or miss if the content of a tab will load. Flipping between tabs seems to eventually get them to load. Not what I want or need in an emergency.
I'm visually impaired and this only works on a small phone not a my large tablet where I can easily read and learn.
Run at startup permission snuck in and email asking about it was ignored. There's no legitimate reason I can see for adding it, and the fact they're being so nontransparent about it raises red flags. Uninstalling. Pay attention to permissions, people. This kind of thing happens quite a bit with different apps, because they know people don't care. Usually it's benign, but not always. You're giving a lot of trust & data with these apps.
Several negatives: No search function I could find. Nothing on childbirth. Description says no ads, lots of ads (I don't mind the ads as much as the falsehood). Font and readability is pretty so so = light gray on white for much of the text. The info is ok (a bit verbose). There's better apps for similar stuff.
this app is great. If you want to be prepared for an emergency, it has tests of what to do in different situations and is much like a first aid pamphlet. the app also offers first aid training in your area. I recommend memorizing these steps and being prepared!
Very helpful!! I recommend everybody use this.. especially when we have an unfortunate weather situation
I got this app to prepare myself in case I ever need to provide first aid for someone. I started by checking out the quizzes, and they are worthless. The questions are pretty basic and the wrong answers are way too obvious (ex: a water gun is not used to treat an allergic reaction).
Great app, its easy to use. and has a ton of information. I wish I knew about it sooner.
Excellent app that helps you to learn how to helps other individuals.
"Rating: 3 stars for good features and benefits."
Some of the info is good but some is outdated or wrong. The quizzes with stupid, obviously wrong answers are not funny and show lack of care for the seriousness of the issue. Some of the quiz answers are wrong as well. They pull in so much in donations it would be cool to see them put more into this instead of overpaying ceos.
Under the heading "About this app" it states "The app is ad-free and spam free." What is the first thing I see when I open the app? A full screen ad. Good thing it wasn't an emergency where every second counted. I mistakenly thought that's what this app was for, emergency first aid. Well played, developers.
So happy to have first aid and emergency info available instantly. I have taken Red Cross first aid courses, but needed a way to review the info when needed. The App is great since it has quizzes to use for reviews of the info! I am updating my review. 2020. I am impressed that the app is updated with important dated info during a Pandemic.
Everyone should get this app. It's such an amazing resource for the kind of information that saves lives. It's well designed to easily find what you need in an emergency situation and it's great for learning and preparation as well. I like the quizzes!
Running in background cannot be disabled. Application launched and ran in background without notification, without my permission, and without even asking for permission. It then sent me an unsolicited notification popup. Uninstalled.
This app helps you find a clear distribution of what to do in a certain situations. Such as if someone has a asthma attack you would want to make them feel comfortable, make sure someone reassures the person and if they don't have their medication and is uncontrollable call 911.It also has an 911 number under the things that should be getting called to 911 for emergencies. This app is definitely worth getting for more information and knowledge about emergencies or just knowing about certain stuff
Great app. I have been a bystander at multiple fatal accidents in my life. This would have better helped me render aid while waiting on the emergency services. Love the gps to local hospitals function. I am new to my area and I learned of several hospitals of which I was unaware.
Ok, this app is an app where all roads lead to dialing 911...of course, dial 911...why didn't I think of that?? And, I suppose if you are still able to use an app for first aid, then 911 might still be functional...unless everyone is calling 911 at once! First aid is a valuable learned skill...learn all you can before needing an app that tells you to call 911.
So handy. I get re-certified for CPR/First Aid every 2 years for a volunteer role. Since I rarely have to use the skills I've learned, this is a quick, easy way to review them in between.
