Want to have your heart broken? Look at the online user manual from the settings menu. The iOS version looks amazing. What the hell am I paying for? No health stats (weight, calories, etc), no customized workouts, can't create challenges, no calendar, no customized voice notification, no heart rate alerts. The Android version looks like a beta from 2007. I'm glad I only paid for one month, definitely not renewing this app until it matures.
I am disappointed. I had the Apple version and it was pretty much perfect. It was my go to app for detailed health related information, including exercise and food in one place. The Android version, however, is lacking in so many ways. I know that there are some limitations with Samsung's health features but I still think a better job can be done to integrate information from other health apps such as Lifesum.
I got this to better track HIIT workouts, thinking it was free. Upon opening the phone app, it just has this popup to purchase a subscription. It seemed like it was for features that weren't applicable to me, as I really only needed it to track HIIT. I could use my Galaxy watch to track my other workouts. It was quite a surprise when I went to track HIIT on my watch, only to be told my 7 day trial expired. No where was it mentioned that I was under a free trial. Now it's useless to me.
Connection issues keep this from being a 5 star. At the start of each workout, the app won't connect with my Polar HR monitor. Every workout, I have to turn off Bluetooth and then re-enable it, then go into the app and have it look for the HR monitor (the stored settings never connect). 90% of the time, this works, otherwise I use another app. I keep this app, even though it ticks me off, because I like the displays. Very clean and unobtrusive.
So close. There is such a demand for an app like this. It gives you a lot. But it doesn't sync data with samsung health very well. Only data it pulls is steps and sleep. Would be well worth the $20 if data synced right on both ends. As soon as these bugs are worked out, I would definitely consider this a must have fitness app. If you don't care about the syncing across platforms, go for it.
For months I haven't been able to the app because the app won't track in the background when my phone is locked or I have another app up. I'll start a workout and at the end of my workout I'll notice the app stopped tracking after around 20 minutes. I submitted a bug for this a month or so ago and tech support claimed they addressed the issue, but it's still not resolved. I paid for the annual subscription and I can't even use the app properly.
I am not going to trash the app because I have always loved it, but it doesn't seem to work properly with the Galaxy Watch Ultra. Everything installs and seems OK, but it won't come up on the watch screen (just flickers) and it won't show any workout info. When you click on the watch app you can stop an activity? but the icon stays on the bottom of watch screen until you delete the app. Maybe it just needs and update. I have always loved the app and it has always worked. Please fix if you can!
to begin I was never able to transfer my motifit account which I paid for to this app. ultimately I gave up and paid for this one as well. After that everything was smooth, nice clean interface, it does have a few quirks, but nothing major. then today....bam my entire workout log is gone!!! vanished. I have no idea how to get it back and nothing in their help section is remotely close to what I'm experiencing.
it is great. my cardiologist likes it too and helped me set up the numbers. the only problem is that there is no phone number for them just an email address and they can decide to talk to you or not. u lost my first account because of password problems and they couldn't fix it so I signed into Facebook and when I switch phones it worked signing in again with Facebook. I lost 10 months on my other account but I got tired of emailing them. other then that I would use the app for as long as 8 can
I've been a paid user for several years. They've failed to address basic issues: (1) App loses your data if you access other apps during a workout. E.g., you're 30 minutes into a workout. You open WhatsApp or whatever to respond to a text message. When you return to FITIV, the data from the past 30 minutes no longer exists. (2) Doesn't easily connect or remain connected to heart rate monitor. (OS and app are up to date) (3) FITIV still hasn't added support for high intensity intervals
I want to get this but won't spend $20 until Android features are updated. The look and UI are excellent, but compared to the iOS version, it lacks features such as calendar, insights and details. Not to mention the integration with third party services is meh. Haven't seen major upgrades since I looked at it a year ago. When they arrive, I'll subscribe.
I bought a Mio Fuse without realizing that Mio had completely dropped support for it (including an APP). I actually side-loaded their APP, only to find that it was exceedingly hard to figure out and use. So I found Fitiv, was able to link it to the Fuse, and I'm in business! Easy to use, with all the info from the Fuse I was looking for. Great app!
Data is useful but sometimes hard to access. I use it with a galaxy watch. to start I have to pull up the app on the phone then the watch. In-use data is great, but when I finish after I save and close the app on the watch it keeps running and uses a lot of battery. I normally have to power off the watch to get it to close. Then when I go to the phone to review stats it sometines has not registered the workout. I have checked settings to be sure Bluetooth is connected.
Does not work consistently. Multiple time have had to remove my paired HR monitor and then re-pair. If this didn't work, occasionally restarting my phone would. Now, will not connect to hr monitor at all, even though every other app can see it and connect to it. Too bad, was going to subscribe to the paid version, but this application does not work. Download another application for HR monitoring.
overall it's very good. The first time I used it it stopped giving voice notifications for changing heart rate zones after 20 minutes. I haven't had trouble since then. It would also be nice if it came with a little automated coaching. Maybe some suggestions for heart rate zones depending on exercise type, and goals.
Hands down the best tracking app for my needs. I've tried a lot that were more trendy or "fancy." These guys stick the fundamentals. 👍
Can barely get workouts to load, the watch app was great and worked well but on the phone it's terrible just left on constant loading screens for stuff and workouts sometimes just don't load in. wanted to buy after trial but not until app is fixed.
This app went downhill fast. It used to be really good, but now it's just pathetic. From opening the app to tapping on anything, it freezes without fail or crashes. I can't always monitor my phone during a workout, and it has now happened twice in one week that after starting a workout, and seeing my heart rate in the app, that after the workout I return to my phone and the app has crashed, wiping over 2,5 hours of data. Will not be renewing my subscription
The App worked fine until I completed a longer workout where there was no mobile data connection at the end. It then froze. Since then the app now loads and crashed. I uninstalled and re installed. App load time is very slow, app is barely responsive and there are regular "This App is not responding, close or wait" messages from android. It's now unusable, disappointing as it seemed a good app until this issue.
The wear os app doesn't work properly. If I exit the main screen there's no way to go back to the workout screen. The workout seems to be still running in the background, but there's no way to actually see it on the watch. It shows on the phone as a workout running on the watch, but it doesn't let me save it, it just keeps raining running. Maybe there should be an ongoing notification for the active workout so that its possible to go back to it.
