FixMyPics - Restore Old Photos

I tried it on one photo. Loved it. Bought the paid version and when I try to use the scan or select the screen turns white. I found a workaround where I take a picture of the picture and then I can upload it into the program. Works great that way but am disappointed no one has reached out to let me know why when I try to scan a photo using the app, the screen goes white and stays there. Other than that, the results are amazing.

First off it's not free. You have to either pay $3 a week or $25 a year to use the app. Second, it does a horrible job with removing scratches to the point it's smearing the photo and making it look even worse than if you would just not edit it at all. Overall, I'm sticking with other programs and the $3 that I wasted is a lesson to not trust apps just because they were downloaded a lot.

what I need to do: restore old, damaged and dusty photo scans 1. came out surprisingly good, I tought I finally found the right app, then I continued to 2. photo and weird things started to happen. In "Descratch" mode, final images are for some reason colored ( don't know why when input photo is BnW ) and high contrast, when I try to manually set saturation to 0, it won't let me, minimum value still has some colors, other than that, few errors while processing photos, cancelling subscription

I've been looking for an app that could enhance photos the way remini does, minus the make-up like effect. I didn't expect this one to be IT! This is exactly what I was looking for. This app offers different options in enhancing your photo, like if you want it brighter, or clearer, or more colored. It enhances the photo without adding the make-up-like effect. Just naturally enhanced.

Output JPG photo size is too small and blurry compared to original. Bought the yearly pro subscription version, and very dissapointed with group photos output size. A 135kb group photo of people become more blurry than the original which was 16MB in size. It does a good job coloring but can you please make the app‘s output size at least as much as the input size? I would like a refund as this is unusable in it’s current state.

I'm trying the app under the free trial and while it appears to do the job of each of the photo enhancements you choose, it would be nice to make the ammendments to the copy instead of creating a new photo each time per ammendment you choose. This could be a feature of the free version, I'm not sure, but otherwise this app does do what it says.

I unsubscribed in July and they continue to charge me for weeks which I hadn't noticed because I was dealing with personal loss only to see my bank statement and realize they were charging me weekly still. contact them for a refund. they only gave me one week confirming their error on their part but said that was all they could do. and Google was as useless as it always, they refused to do anything. Never subscribe to this app. they're going to rip you off.

A BETTER WAY: Free Trial. 👍 No Payment for the Trial Period. 👍 Then Pay if you like it. 👍 The number of Days that you are offering are insufficient. 👎 It would need at least 7 days to experiment with your app. We've all got other things to do, rather than experiment with your app.

A rating of 4.5 would be appropriate. After use on about 20 old photos, I think sharpening faces on faded or poorly focused photos is this app's strength. It is an excellent tool for this purpose. The app seems to be improving. The descratch tool in version 1.45 is a good start for heavily creased photos; I hope that it improves further in this direction. It is still not overly helpful for scans of water damaged prints.

It's far from accurate. And if it's not accurate then it's just a novelty app to make my photo funny. That's not what I'm looking for. I will continue trying and change my ratings accordingly.... I believe this app has off the chart possibilities based on everything it offers. But I'm not seeking caricatures I'm looking to restore 🤘

Didn't seem to work well on multiple subject photos that were pretty old. Kept getting errors. And the enhancements were At times made it look worse than the original. I think there still needs to be some tweaking with this app before justifying the price of it.

It wasn't that great for removing scratches. It over smoothed the picture and made it worse in several areas like a wedding dress. I was unable to find any adjustment to reduce how much smoothing it applied for descratching process. It wanted me to watch an ad to perform descratching process which was fine. Subscription price is $2.99 a week with a free trial offer. I didn't try the other features besides descratching process because it made my photo much worse instead of improving it.

This app does not allow one or two photos to be sampled for repair. I can't understand why a developer would expect me to spend money on an enhancement app I can't test. Wanting me to buy blind, even with a 3-day free trial, is effectively insulting my intelligence, but that's just me. I can't recommend it. The longer we accept these terms, the more often developers will NOT allow us to try their product first. I'D AVOID.

Total rip off ... I thought I was being charged the weekly amount and got charged $64. for a whole year, you don't even get to try it out 1st, why would I pay for a whole year without trialing it 1st to see if it suits what I need ... am trying to get a refund, but nothing so far ... NOT HAPPY !!!

Chat GPT is FREE and better!! Just use A.I. and save HUNDREDS!! Makes the persons FACE look FAKE. every time I've used this which is multiple times. the face turns out not to be the original person's face. Also, there's 5 tools and every one is separate from the last. meaning you have to save it open it back up come back in to re-edit and the next process. just doesn't make any sense. A subscription to Photoshop is cheaper!! And Chat GPT does everything this app does for Free!!

Colorisation and face sharpening works fine. However de-scratch option is terrible. It blurred out and smudged places where there were scratches leaving the photo with ugly blotches, it also smudged edges around faces where no scratch existed and it also ignored one big cluster of scratches in the middle of the picture.

I have been using this app for almost a month and subscribe for the pro version. Its working great on the prev version, but when they upgraded the app, there were problems. Right now i cannot restore photo, the app is saying that there were problems in my internet connection when in fact i can use other apps and browse the net. Another thing is that sometimes it has problem in saving restored photo, especially if the photo was downloaded straight from the net.

Wow!! I'm doing a family photo tree and just stumbled upon this app. The vast difference between the orginal 1920s pictures I scanned and after the fix is superb!! It even gives definition to facial feature that I expected would be lost to time since the photos didn't age well. I'd recommend this app for sure!!

Seemed to do a good job. I thought I'd buy it (go pro) but it turns out you can't, you have to oay per week (and a rediculous amount) ... do you install the software on your phone , then you pay them, to use your phone to run .... totally crazy, I'll find something with a sane purchase model

Use to be great but it's so bad now. It's get ads for credit card that can't be exited you hit claim and play store opens exit out ads still there wait 5min doesn't go away close the app reopen app it's used a credit and same thing happens. It's sad because it's destroyed a good app.
