Not Built for Android.. I love FL Studio and have been using it for years. I bought FL Mobile Studio a while back. Sadly, due to Androids low latency files, this app does not work as intended. Without the option to calibrate it's somewhat unusable to make anything on the go. We need a way to calibrate our audio devices with the app on Android for a better user experience. I'm currently on an S25 Ultra facing these issues. Yes, I've tried the sound mode setting to no avail.
The biggest issue (which is the only reason I decided to use it in the first place) is the extreme amount of clipping when recording audio in the track. I have FL on my laptop but it's Broken at the moment so I thought using mobile would be a good replacement, especially to record for now. When I tried on my phone, the clipping made my voice sounds like I was speaking in a digital fan. Granted I have an old phone so I got a new tablet but the problem remained there too. HOPEFULLY they fix it.
When I create an effect track, add a limiter, and try to change the master or effect track volume on the drums or any other instrument track, then I click off of it. I would then go back to the track only to see that the volume changed to what it was originally. Could you fix this glitch, i un-installed the apl and lost my progress and projects. I fortunately still had my purchases, or else I would have been pissed off. Please fix this glitch. I cannot make music like this.
Works very well for what I need it to do, plus a little bit more. I wasn't expecting it to have a multiband compressor, or side chaining abilities. But it does. And the fact you can export to .flp is insane! There are a few problems, such as my phone's CPU constantly freaking the f out, or how I can't figure out how to do drum lines in 3/4.
Lovely app, it's good for on-the-go DAW usage and the extra packs you can pay for are awesome. I do wish that there were more features because the ability to make dubstep specifically is a little limited. Also, I could be wrong, but I don't think there are any places to SAFELY download community instrument presets. Additionally, I haven't found a way to modulate tempo to accel. and ritard.
This has everything I need as a musician to make music on the go. Unfortunately, there's like 70ms of latency when I use an instrument, so this app is almost completely useless. Off the top I realized the UI was quite cumbersome but I can deal with that.. What I did not know until recently is that I can't reliably record live sounds. I would have asked for a refund months ago. If you aren't a musician who plays an actual instrument, this app might* be for you.
This is awesome. It can get a little expensive if you buy enough audio packs in the store, but they're all optional – only the DAW is required to be purchased. Read if you use FL Studio on PC, you can share the project files between the 2, but if you use something else, you'd have to export the instruments as separate files & import the files into your other DAW instead. Plenty of tutorials on YouTube, so should be no problem. Overall, best DAW I tried on my phone... 👍🏻😍
Edit: This was a great app, and I have never posted a negative review. But this new update has taken all my tracks. I can't load samples they used a new system for importing and exporting that makes no sense. It was simple and easy before my only suggestion was more plug ins which I would have paid for. Now that Image line decided to fix something that isn't broken I am not sure this will work for me. Bring back the old file importing and exporting.
Let me start by saying Im a big FL user. Honestly the app isnt bad. You can indeed have fun w/ it and make some decent stuff. Know that you are much more limited on this app than the PC version. Selection of sounds is okay, in my opinion. Sounds cant be tweaked nearly as much as PC version. Amount of sounds provided is rather small. Most of the sounds blare (lack of softer tones). Maneuvering notes on the screen can be a pain. Limited zoom out. Additional content is Ok. Vocals content is a joke!
The mobile version should be something you guys really look at and treat as the gem it is. The fact that I can make a song at a moment's notice is worth having the app. All we need from the developers is more attention and care for the user's. Make the mobile version rival the PC. Make it fun and easier to pick up and play. We need more options in the preset's,more sound's,plug-in's. I want to feel like I'm able to make Taylor swift a hit song while shopping for groceries.
The app was working fine but then updated, and none of my files can be imported into the app. Even .flm files from the old version aren't working and say import failed. folders also can't be accessed, and just don't do anything when clicked on. I am extremely disappointed that everything I had is now gone. (Edit: I found out I can change the storage location of where files are stored, and this mainly fixed the issue. But I can't delete the other files, so there are duplicates on my phone.)
More focus needs to be put on importing custom sounds (downloaded from the web or imported from a SD / laptop). It needs to be made quicker & easier, instead of having to press so many buttons to import or use them. Also on newer phones i can't even get to or paste any files inside of the root folder (in the android system in any file manager) for the program ("My samples" & the like) folders. Defeats the purpose of being able to manually add sounds to the program. My only dissapointment!
Brilliant. I've been hooked on FL Mobile for a couple of years now. I have made full tracks in app, right down to the mastering stage. It's absolutely remarkable that I can make music anywhere, anytime. Everything you need is here, though having extensive experience using the desktop version does aid in extracting all it's features. If I had but one request, it would be to have the Fruity Peak Controller ported over. ^.^ I know I can use a compressor to side chain, but it's not the same. 🤘🎶
PC is down so came back to mobile and wow this is just embarrassing. Hope you can press with the accuracy of a single pixel, because if not you'll constantly be missing the record, play, and pause buttons advancing the track to the position of the track in the song bar at the very top of the screen? Are you kidding me? And by "constantly", I mean 9 times out of ten. And you can't just repeatedly press the button until it magically starts to work because you have to undo the track advancement.
Hi, I've been using the app for quite a while and usually it's excellent — but after installing the most recent update (August 21) I've noticed a bug when using the Voices group of sounds — namely, when I set a note duration to be a certain length, the sound when played is cut short. So E.g if I want a note played over an entire bar, it may only play for 3/4 bar. It's actually quite frustrating.
I've used this on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10 plus 5G variant as well as my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus. However, after this update, I'm unable to see my custom drum kits or audio files. This is a MAJOR issue as I can't continue making music with a program that after any update can lose my files and audio files that I have gigs of. It's literally a piece of my life's work. To spend so much time being inspired, creating, and meticulous, just to have it all ripped away from you sucks beyond words.
The app has a ton of cool bells and whistles (literally, for some samples) and the interface works well enough. However, the audio doesn't sound quite right; I think the audio processor isn't optimized correctly for some phones (I have an LG G6) and the sound is distorted with higher bit-rate samples. Having come from Garageband, I was expecting something of that caliber in terms of sound quality, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Good app otherwise.
For a mobile version of a DAW made for computers, this is quite impressive. It has everything you could find on the desktop version (minus 3rd party plugin/VSTs, I think), and is much easier to figure out than the desktop version. My only complaint is that zooming in and out on mobile is WAY more frustrating than it ought to be. I often find myself spending minutes pinching and pushing until it decides to work. I feel like the best way to fix this is by adding a zoom tool of some kind. I dunno.
I love this app. I always feel good about the workflow and instruments at my disposal. Never had a problem until now. Only reason it is not 5 stars for me is that with the recent update, I don't know what's up, but the audio does not play at ALL. Absolute silence no matter what settings I have. I know this should be fixed hopefully, but it means I can't properly work on my music. Also exporting songs as audio files allows me to hear them just fine. This in app sound is the problem.
I'm unsure of what happened to this app but ever since the recent update, everything has been an absolute pain when it comes to saving and exporting songs. I had been working on a song for a few hours and saved it under FLM and as an MP3. I went to see if I could find it in my files, and when I came back to the app after having no luck of finding it, all my progress got reset. Song was deleted, app was refreshed, couldn't even find the saved project I was working on in the app. Please fix this.
