Flashfood—Grocery deals

It's definitely a good app. You save money and you get good food. Only drawback is that you might have to 'hop' stores. One store might not have too much but if you shop 3 stores you might get some of what you need for half of what you usually spend. The Veggie boxes are good. Only $5. I only buy Organic but they have all different types of Fruit and Veggies. What a Great idea! The map feature on the app is good too.

Nothing loads. The first few times I used the app, I was able to browse stores. I added a few to my favorites. I haven't been able to load stores. The app tells me " no stores in selected area" and to scroll down or search again. I work at a store with the flash food cooler. It was one of my favorite stores. I liked being able to buy boxes of produce for cheap.

I went into this expecting something shady or a catch, but honestly it's super easy and actually legit. I've used it several times now, just order, head to the store and grab it! my local martins just has me go to the coolers where they store everything right up front. it's stuff that's got their sell-by coming up, so I just grab it and cook it right away! absolutely love this app.

love flashfood! such a good way to stretch your grocery budget! my only (small) issue is that the store I get my orders from doesn't always hold all of my stuff if I order on the same day as the "best by date," but pick up one day later. I am told that the box was discarded because I didn't grab on the same day, but the discarded box does not get removed from being shown on my completed order in the app and I never receive a credit back since it was prepaid.

I have used Flashfood for over three years and have never had this issue. I placed an order today and arrived shortly after 9:00 p.m., but the app showed “missed pickup.” Two employees mentioned a time-zone difference, which the app has never stated before. I was there, had already paid, and saw the bread on the shelf. I want the order I paid for. This is poor service, and I am requesting a resolution that results in my order being provided as purchased!

I love this app. Its easy to use and I love that it helps cut down on food waste. Im giving 3 stars due to the recent service fee increase- it doubled from 4% to 8%. Greedy. Im also giving reduced rating because of lack of quality and training in the stores in my local region. Giant Eagle honestly is a waste of money any time it comes to produce. I also feel like Giant Eagle employees are not trained on how to process orders and there in zero uniformity around the pick up set up and process.

This app was great when I first installed it. Originally rated 5 stars. Now, it is just broken. It refuses to find/recognize the one place in my whole county that has a Flashfood kiosk even when I'm standing right in that store. It always tells me "no location can be found". The app is up to date and I've tried reinstalling it multiple times to no avail. Very disappointing because I used it frequently before it went bust.

Actually, the app was fine. It was when I got to the store to pick up my items. Someone had already taken one of the bags that I had ordered and paid for and it didn't have the same items in it when I had to choose a different bag, quite disappointing, and in that case. They should view the selection better. When someone is to pick up the bag, they ordered items went the same. And when economically challenged it makes a menu difficult.

I love this app!!! Always great deals & variety added throughout the day, so check often. Be sure to check expiration dates,location of pickup & their closing time. Ive referred others & they get promo deal & so do I !! Only one time the store did not have 1 of the lunchmeat on my order. I didn't want to deal with hassle/time of trying to get my 99cents back, but you can report it & hopefully they will rectify it. I definitely recommend Flashfood. There's nothing like it that Ive seen anywhere!

I think you should monitor the stores that are on your app more. the majority of the stores by me are charging MORE for the food instead of discounting it. I cross referenced the price and amount on the app on the website and I was gonna pay almost $.50 more for something (1.50 vs like 1.05) that expires TODAY. I'm getting rid of the app because it hasn't been relevant or useful to me in almost a year. hope you get your issues figured out because it started out so well.

There is no way to add a location after refusing to turn location on. A map that has location dots right on top of location dots. There's no way to choose the right one The stores that show up don't tell you what city, or state they're in. The search feature is useless, it goes to stores that I have no idea where they are located. When I closed the app and reopened it, in an attempt to have the app request my location, no go. The app opens up exactly where you left off, at an incorrectable spot.

Update: The app loads well, even when I'm 40 miles away from the nearest participating store. I would, however, love to see a Widget for my home screen. App is great! I've only had ONE problem picking up something that was no longer there (store's fault, not FF), however flash food refunded me and it was easy.🙂

The app is super easy to navigate through and pick your selection and location. Prices are affordable, reasonable, and it helps when you are feeding a large family. and the purse strings are super tight! I love this app so much, I have shared with all my friends and family!!! Especially when times are tough, and your trying to figure out how to incorporate affordable veggies in your daily meal!!

The app and concept are great, but the quality fails at the grocery store. Tops takes bad phones, writes no description, and every time I've went to pick up my items it is not what I thought I ordered. Such as getting different quantities then the in photo, different item then the photo (crumbled vs block cheese), etc. There is some work to be done to better the customer experience.

I have only found a couple of things I thought were actually deals. Most of the time it is something that is very expensive that I would never buy marked down half from "retail". The store already has the item marked way down on the shelf so the difference is at best 25% off. The app has little to no information about the product, often the size, amount, or quantity are missing. Sometimes you can zoom in on a low res photo to get it. The store will not even let you look at the item in person.

It's a neat concept that works well most of the time. However, stores are often clogged with non-food items, items barely discounted, or items more than 6+ months from best buy date. It can be very frustrating having to scrool through makeup, cake decorations, and hair dye to find the food. Support told me those items are allowed, and it's up to the stores discretion.

The previous version worked great. We have been happy with it and referred a lot of people, but the new version just gets caught in a loop asking to create an account. Hopefully, it gets fixed quickly. Update: There isn't an update option. In un-installed and re-installed, but the issue is still there. When I log in to my account, it kicks me directly to create account.

I love this app, And pretty much everything it stands for. However,I do not like the way interfaces with EBT. Sometimes it requires me to check my EBT balance 7 or 8 times before it will actually give me the little window where I can enter the amount of money that I want to use for the transaction It's very frustrating There is no way to contact anybody about the problem so it never ends. Also, when trying to see your pickups, only thing that will load is items for sale.

I get great deals with this app! Easy to use, things that I would love to change: it limits you on some items, I was able to order 5 of a drink, got to the store and there were 20 for sale on the shelf. It empties your cart often. Would love to be able to zoom in on the pucture to see the weight of meat items, etc, or put what the weight is in description. Some items should be cheaper: perishables. Thanks for the deals, love the opportunity to purchase these items before they go to waste.

This app is a great way to pick up some AMAZING deals on items that the stores need to reduce!! Buying reduced produce has allowed me to fill my freezer with diced peppers, onions, meats and fruits. Thank you for creating an app that helps stores get to zero waste! Update: the stores are using stock photos for many items. So with random weight meats...what you see isnt what you get. They show packages with more pieces or larger cuts! They need to show the actual package like they do for produce
