This app used to be fantastic. I used it for tracking my first 3 pregnancies and always recommended it to people. But that is not the case any longer. The only thing it shows now is how far along you are. Literally everything else is behind the paywall. It used to show you how big your baby was, where they are developmentally, and give you tips on what to expect. Now, anything you click on prompts you to pay for a subscription. It's ridiculous and I will be deleting the app.
Great app for adults. There's a lot of explicit material that goes beyond simply educational content, so I wouldn't feel comfortable with my daughters using the app until they were much older. Also, even if you use the same log in, changing phones will cause all your data to disappear!!!! I was devastated to say the least when my app showed I was logged in but all my menstrual history was gone on my new phone. Be warned!
I loved this app, it was accurate and it allowed me to track my periods as well as my ovulation dates AND allowed me to monitor any abnormalities and as someone who has always had very irregular periods it was great. However now they want me to pay for all the things that made it great and I can no longer monitor for any issues like I used to without paying?! As women we are already nickel and dimed for items like pads and I might as well just go back to using a calendar if all I get is tracking
I've had this app for about 5 years and really just used it to track my periods, which it is decent for. But over time, more and more features have been locked behind a paywall and I got very annoyed at the pop-ups telling me to buy a plan. The final straw was a bug that kept putting my symptoms on one day and my flow on the next, despite logging both on the same day. I just don't see the point in continuing to use an annoying and buggy app. I plan on tracking my periods on paper now.
Incredibly useful for tracking periods, as it adjusts to changes. I wish we could turn off, or skip parts of, the bot chat stuff. Its programming/information is too general and ultimately restrictive. I also would like more symptom options, even just an add your own that you can select again as needed. Thanks for the app!

Some of the couples quizzes and information are kinda nice but as a period tracker couple sharing app it's terrible. She puts all her information in in detail and I get practically none of that information on my side even though that was our intention. There is no setting to change it either, it's locked away. I would understand if it was a privacy thing for some couples but it should be an option in her settings not locked away for everyone.
Honestly, App is great and has amazing features that have been immensely helpful for various reasons like fertility, menstrual cycle, and even mental health tracking. HOWEVER, it loses all of my stars because it doesn't transfer all the information when you get a new phone. YEARS of information just GONE all because I upgraded my phone? If I didnt have the subscription for the year, I wouldn't have re-downloaded the app, but when it expires I will be finding a new way to track everything. Trash.
I've been a long time user of flow. I actually got the app when I first got my first period. It's a nice app to track, however everything is stuck behind a pay wall when before it wasn't. It's been disappointing to see everything slowly disappearing. I used to enjoy my time on the app reading the articles, or do the little quizzes, that definitely helped a clueless teen and find out if something was concerning or just a learning thing. Now I just use it to track and that's it.
I've been using this app to track my cycle data for the last...7 or 8 years? I've been using the free version which has suited my needs fine. This year, 2026, they locked me out of my account completely as of Jan 1st unless I pay. I don't remember seeing any notifications that they were ending the free use of the app, just a whole lot of ads for discounted premium subscriptions. I had downloaded most of my data already, but if I hadn't, I would now have to pay to access my data. Not cool.
This app used to be amazing. I've been using it for many years. In the beginning, it would offer some free articles relating to whatever symptoms you listed, was always accurate, and if I remember correctly it even had forums you could read through. Lately though, all of that is gone for me. I shouldnt have to pay for features that were once available to everyone. I used to love this app, but it's no longer the one I originally downloaded. It also won't let me click on stories or add my age now.
I'm new to the app and didn't know tracking certain things were free, I was basically tricked into thinking I had to pay. After some time I'm definitely cancelling because so far this is lining up with a free app I have been using. I heard great things but if I have to pay then I can't do all that. It's enough that some of us that need help have to go through so much emotionally. Just to have an app not put an option of using the free version. That's tacky and somewhat conniving.
I have been using flo to track my cycle since 2017. It's been pretty easy to use and was informative/helpful but that changed. I downloaded it almost 10 years ago and it was great for years. Now it's always pushing to have me buy the pro version. The free app doesn't include all that it used to either. I honestly use it as a safe place to record my cycle data so I can take care of myself. I feel as if the app has become less enjoyable/easy to use over the years and I've stopped recommending it.
Call me crazy but I'm not comfortable with how explicit this app is. The intimacy tracking options and the "cute" graphic or metaphorical illustrations make me uncomfortable. I go through it myself, I don't need to see pretty pictures of it. I find the social aspect a waste for antisocial me, and the constant requests to pay for an upgrade are also turn offs. If you're like me, this app is not for you.
With all of the information, and extra details is gives, it could be an absolutely wonderful app. But, you cant get to literally any single one of the features it shows on there without buying the premium. About the only single thing you can do on it for free is track your period. That's it. I got it so I could both track periods and read the information that the app gave along with it. But you cannot do literally any of it, without having to pay. It seems kind of ridiculous and I will delete it
I've been using Flo for ... at least seven years, maybe ten? Pros: Very functional for what I needed to track periods and two pregnancies. Great experience, easy to use. Cons: got very sex-forward and pleasure-focused over time, which isn't what I was looking for. Also, I'm eligible to be part of a class action lawsuit because they sold my data to Google, which is ... very not cool? Looking for a new period app that will at least disclose that they're selling my health data.
I've been using this app since at least 2017. I loved it. Now, I appreciate how easy it is to log my period and symptoms BUT I cannot stand how you have to pay for premium now to use any other function on the app. It's annoying...things I could do and access before is off limits now? I will not pay for an app that once was free whenever I could use Google for the same information.
'26 update: in '21 I rated this 5 stars. but i'm knocking it down for how ridiculous it's gotten w the upsells. it's also extremely annoying at sign in (I got a new phone) with a million pages to answer... I can appreciate that it's trying to get the most thorough profile for customization and accuracy, but let me skip past it if I'm in a rush. also, I'm registered as a guest now but want to try to log into my original profile but I don't see a way to do that! STILL THE MOST ACCURATE APP
During the last major update, some of the symptoms available to choose from were removed that I used. Recommendation: allow to remove widgets unneeded such as birth control methods for those who have tubals or hysterectomies. Allow for color personalization for calendar even for the free option. The best app I've tried by far but needs a solid update in comparison to what other trackers offer for free.
I've had this app for years and most years I pay for the extra premium package. It charged my account randomly this year and I didn't know, so I just cancelled so I wouldn't get randomly charged. Even though it still charged me I don't get the premium content even though I paid for it. And now it wants me to pay for the premium everytime I use the app(even though it's already been paid for the YEAR)! I'll probably look for a different app, just sucks because all of my "history" is on there.
I've been using Flo's paid subscription for over 8yrs now & would've given a 5-Star review, but it's quite frustrating that so many questions are asked before returning users are given a chance to login. The option to login should pop up immediately when the app is opened. so we can sign-in & go on with our day without being overwhelmed with questions that our accounts already have the answers to. Of course I only encounter this frustration whenever I get a new device, but still 🤷🏾♀️
