I'm another DarkSky refugee (having gone to DS this year after WU trashed their app...). I also use Windy. Of those three, this is the toughest to get into... definitely not the app you'd use to get a quick and easy forecast. But if you want a deep dive into a ton of data with a great deal of customization, this is the app for you. I do wish there was an option for accumulated precipitation by day (maybe there is, again, lots to chew on). I bought gold for the extra options and to support devs.
Wonderful weather app and widget. After Dark Sky left Android, I downloaded 6 or 7 top rated apps to try and find a replacement. In my opinion, this app is by far the best, even better than Dark Sky. If I could make one suggestion... consider adding sun rise and sun set indicators, colored lines perhaps, as an option in the graphic editor.
Brilliant weather app!! All the weather information you need..... on ONE PAGE!! Visual, graphical, and numeric data for the whole week... on the same page with interactive satellite images coordinated with graphical depictions and data numbers. On a small screen phone the numbers and icons are pretty small, especially the wind direction compass making it difficult to read the wind direction. Totally my "go-to" weather app....
It's a pretty great app for map and weather nerds. Editing graph preferences is annoying; be nice if all of the feature options were in one place. i.e., the scale ranges are set off in their own menu. Also, I'd really like current values on the widget graph. (And in the app: what is the humidity at time x!?) Widget icons/legend are too small to be useful, and even if they weren't, color coded current values with their units of measurement would give more info and help interpret symbology.
Thanks for the hard work you've put into developing this app. I've used the free version for over two years now and must say, it is very unique and once one gets their arms around it, becomes easy to use. Recently, I needed to use the help menu but it had disappeared from the free version (just a blank screen on my Android 10). So, to support your efforts I upgraded to Silver and voila, the help menu was back along with many more features. Again, thanks for this outstanding app! Easy 5 stars.
Very cool graphic depiction of weather pattern. Really like wind map, and that I can easily look back at the previous half day's stats. I only wish it would be easier to move around geographically on map. To recenter on a different location it appears one must go in and change the city in settings. Certainly not a big deal and maybe there's a good reason for it in such a robust application. Best weather app out there for those who really like to dive in . Five stars plus!
Graphs are amazing! The data visualization and variety of data is not available in any other app. And to top it all, no ads! I thank to whoever made this for this amazing work. Also, i found your app through an article. I was specifically searching for weather widget that shows more data per screen footprint. The graphs are best way to do it! Also, I wouldnt mind ads in the main app (not the widget) if it brings you more revenue. But no complaints! Thanks again!
I love this app so much. I got it as a replacement for wunderground after it became awful. It doesn't really replace a traditional weather app but it has amazingly cool graphs and maps for anything you might want--cloud cover, temperature, humidity, etc and now sunrise and sunset too. It is fun to check and to be able to see weather patterns!!
This is the number one best free weather radar app I've ever used. Not being harassed to subscribe no ads so far, the data is accurate and the app run smoothly with no bugs or glitches. On top of all that the app doesn't require collecting personal data it has no need for like all of the other big weather apps that need 10 plus permissions to view all your personal data on your device.
The app worked great for a few days. But when I was traveling around, the location stopped. It still showed previous day's location (100 odd miles away). It wouldn't detect the new location anymore. Regarding the usability, it takes a little learning to get used to the layout. It has all the useful info, and 7 future days of radar! And quite accurate too!! That's the best forecast app I ever saw!
I could stare at the maps for hours! I like that you can choose different "layers." I didn't know enough about weather to know how easy it is to spot big storms around the world with a map of the air pressure -- it's even visually cleaner than the rain map. I also like that I can hide layers when I only care about rain. Q: What are the 3 different icons in the top right of the area where the temp is graphed? And the pick and blue shading on the graph? Wind-chill? Q: Is there humidity info?
Really useful meteogram that is missing two things : 1) the temperature Y axis is not clearly labeled. Maybe add horizontal lines for each 5 degrees and have the number clearly on the middle of the line to the right. 2) For the widget, it would be great if it showed the current conditions in a box to the right. Temperature large, smaller wind and precipitation maybs.
Really slick and unique weather app with great visuals, even at the free version. I tried the first pay level but couldn't see much benefit. Edit: Thanks for the tips! The swipe up and down slow scroll is great. What I meant by a pinch zoom on the timeline is just to change from say 7 days to 3 quickly. I did discover the option to set the same location with a different time range. Works pretty well too.
I never do app reviews, but this truly deserves the highest praise. I'm very particular about the way forecast/weather information is presented, and over the years I've tried just about every weather app available; this is the only one for me. It does more than just give you the weather; if you take the time to get used to it, it helps you understand meteorology on a more intuitive level & read forecasts more effectively/efficiently. Can't wait until the developer releases an iOS version!
Innovative, different and groovy, just well done all around and a great tool for weather and outdoor geeks. Vizualize the forecast instead of reading it. Awesome future condition simulator with lots of conditions to select and view. Pair this up with your favorite "traditional" style weather app for alerts etc, it's not meant to replace that, its made to give you a different way of looking at data. Different is good
The clear presentation of the weather data and clean design make this the best weather app I've ever used. I love that the graphical 7 day forecast is prominently displayed rather than something you have to dig for. The ability to change the data presented gives some really nice options, like showing wave direction and magnitude simultaneously. Just an all-around great app!
Finally found my favorite weather app after years of searching. I've been looking for an app that shows weather data like the old weathergraph face on pebble. I love how the input works. I love there's no ads to bully me into paying, it actually makes me want to buy the silver/gold. I love the overlays.
My favorite weather app of all time, because it helps me understand the larger picture of what's happening. Once you learn the meanings of the different graphical elements your can begin to see the flow of weather so much more clearly. As a data visualization expert myself I am filled with admiration for the work that has gone into flowx. Well done!
Best app I've found for directly viewing weather models. Highly customizable and works pretty seamlessly. I used it extensively in the remote Pacific to track incoming storms and compare between models, and I really appreciated that you can select what data to show and the app will only download that specific data--great for limited internet connections. Well worth the gold subscription to get more frequent forecast updates, access a better selection of models, and support a great developer.
Awesome weather app, Duane, finally! I took Meteorology in college & then again, when I went for my pilot's license. You cover it all! I love the colors, I love the animation & the smooth progression thru time. You may want to make a short 5-min. video to show what you can do with this app. That will let people know what's possible in it. I like ur promo, but something that shows steps—how you get there, for people that aren't adventurous & wouldn't know what do do next, would be very helpful.
