I am finding I REALLY like this app. Great synchronization across platforms. only reason for 4 stars is that there's still room for growth. For instance in batch edit, you still need to individually tap each item to select, no press-hold-drag select option. You also can't batch *untag*, like there's no way to use batch edit to remove tags only add them. Overall really great tho. I hope they keep updating!
This is a fantastic app with just the right amount of frills. It avoids all the bloat and pitfalls of gamification in productivity apps, but it still has the (very slow growing tree) to show progress and a delay in gaining points so you keep coming back. I've had this app for years, and the lifetime purchase was cheap and more than worth it (even though I've gone in/out of using it a lot). I also love that I can hide the leaderboard and social functions from being visible at all!
I've been using this app for over a year. Overall great for keeping track of tasks and if you create an account you can sync across devices which is very nice. My only complaint is that sometimes it doesn't sync or the sync is delayed so tasks you've already completed show up on your other device sometimes. But would definitely recommend!
I really love this app, but one bug just drives me nuts. The ever-increasing daily login is supposed to help grow the tree and inspire you to log in... except mine resets. Constantly. Yesterday I was at 22 days. Today I'm at 4. Huh? I do change time zones for work, but only an hour or two, and I access this app multiple times daily. Because of this bug, I've been on the same level tree for like a year. It's no longer inspiring; it's maddening. I'm gonna find another app.
Best Productivity/Focus/To-Do App I've Found! I've used other app blockers or to-do apps (and they weren't all bad), but I never stuck with them for long because they often were more trouble than they were worth. But this takes the cake! It allows me to set productivity and break timers, check off items on various projects, and keep me from using unproductive apps while I'm focusing. On top of that, it's incredibly affordable at only $8.99 + tax for premium. I love it!
I love how this app gives me a set time limit for every work period... Before I began using it, I had gone for as long as 8 hours without a single break... And I was COMPLETELY useless. I couldn't even think at all. Now, well, I'm doing way better at taking short timely breaks... Not too long, though!! EVERYBODY needs this app. My productivity went from 0 to 100 in two days
This app is working well for me. I'm using the Mac version and the Android version. I don't regret my decision to pay for the lifetime subscription. Syncing works well. As some reviewers point out, starting the timer on one device does not show the timer in progress on another device. Not a problem: I can do a pomodoro on the mac and then take the break on the phone so I can walk away and still know when break is over. Easy to get started. Great! productivity tool!
I don't know why but it's been hard for me to find a timer app. The one on my phone can be hard to notice if I'm distracted. And I haven't found a good free one. The subscription for this one is really cheap. I also think the timer screen is pretty lol. I wish the reminders were somehow more noticeable- like for example when the timer rings and you see a bright notification on your lock screen. But that's just me. I have a tendency to tune those out because I've set so many. Again great app.
I'm trying this out along with some other apps that allow task list and pomodoro integration with statistics. So far, it's in the top 3 but the biggest bummer is the lack of widgets. If the developers created a widget for the task list and one to start timing, this could be the app I settle on. Without that, I'm not sure I'd pay the price for premium, especially because you have to pay for EACH platform (kills the multi-platform benefit).
It was really great and I was going to give it five starts and a really happy review. I was going to praise how it comes with the plant feature, you can change the notification sounds, you can label the timers (projects), etc. But then once I made an account, I can no longer do anything. I can't add any new projects even after deleting some, I can't even change the duration of the timer. I have to upgrade to premium to get it all again.
Great app! I can use the Windows App Store version and my phone in sync for college work. Super good time management tool and paying the lifetime for the app reports and extra tags was well worth it. It makes it super easy to see how my time gets distributed between classes and therefore whether I am ignoring one more than the others. Highly recommend! Also really flexible Pomodoro! Just wish I could close the app and keep the timer running in the background, but that's not too much if a biggy.
Nice app, but you need the premium version to really take control of the pomodoro technique, like if you want to increase, or decrease the time, and your long break. Otherwise it's the 25 min work, 5 min break, 4 times, which is good enough, but there's other apps that let you customize it for free, like Brain Focus. This one does have a desktop version which is nice, however, be aware that to download it, you have to do so from their website, which is Chinese domain, so it didn't work for me.
I've used the paid version for almost two years. But it has stopped working properly. It won't sync. It won't upgrade to the latest version. The Forest feature hasn't worked for months. It keeps telling me to uninstall/reinstall the app, but because it won't sync, I am afraid I will lose two years of carefully built repeat routines. Customer support was useless, emailing vague, unhelpful questions every two to three days, then ghosting me. I am so frustrated. Don't trust this app!
I love the app so far, I went ahead and bought the full version, mostly bc I appreciated the usability of the free version, if you have the money to support it do it, but if you need help without the cost the free version gives access to the scheduling and timer functions, which honestly is all I really use. 😀 I am only giving 4 stars bc I wish there was a way to sort tasks by time or reorder tasks manually. I also would like to see the ability to set repeat reminders. Happy functioning!😉
Great app! I recommend purchasing the premium version so you can add as many projects as you want. The only problem I had was that the app stopped notifying me of alarms although it was set to run in the background. To fix this, I turned on "the prevent screenlock" feature. Now that things are working well again, I have no complaints. Note: If you have premium and you're synching devices, always chose to hit sync on the device with the least data so it pulls from the device with the most data.
Nice interface with bright colors and simple but very handy options. When I study my attention gets pulled in all different directions from apps so this app is great for keeping me on track. I don't use it the whole day, but really for times when I feel I really need it. Has never crashed, performance has been great so far. I already use the app Todoist, and I think its great that this app has a task tracker, too, but if it could sync to Todoist that'd be perfect so I could use both.
Great for those who want to spend more focus on the task at hand and less focus on time management, especially if you (like me) have trouble doing that without an external reminder. Very "set and forget." Try alternating physical work and mental work (i.e. cleaning and studying) Wish the "how to use this app" was more intuitive to find, still looking for a way to change the amount of time on the timer.
This app is perfect for my undergrad school needs. Each course has its own project folder and while setup at the beginning of the semester takes some time, it's totally worth it by the end of the semester. I've also used it for large chores around the house. It's great that the desktop (for Windows) app syncs very nicely, making it easier for me to type the information in with a proper keyboard than with a touchscreen keyboard. I've enjoyed it so much, that it was worth it for me to purchase.
Advertises that it's available for android phone and tablet, so I purchased the copy for my phone, and would have been happy to purchase again for my tablet, but it's not compatible with my tablet. The features look great after just a little use, but without a web version or ability to also use it on my tablet, the reason I chose this pomodoro over others has been lost.
If you're looking for an app with a to-do list, a customizable pomodoro timer with a queue, and a decent interface, then this app is for you. I really like setting up the to-dos on the mobile app and using the desktop version of Focus To-do on my laptop. You can find all of the things you need in one toolbar, which is great for people who get overwhelmed by too many options.
