Food Lion

You are a small grocery store app with coupons and sales ads. OK, and shopping, whichI never use. Stop making me verify myself as a human whenever I scroll through coupons. There is no threat from my end, other than I can scroll through quickly. It required me to 3x and I "passed" as a human all 3 times, and now I'm blocked for no reason. Usually, it only asks once, which still screws up everything on the app and I'm forced to exit what I'm in the middle of doing. Enough already, it's coupons!!!

Great way to save extra money. Each month, after you activate the Shop and Save. which is done by clicking on the icon at the bottom of the screen once and you will see a screen stating it's active. Also, coupons are always worth a look. Try to limit shopping to deals found in the digital (or paper) flyer, coupons, and earn what you need to get the $20 to $30 a month cash back for you to spend which must be spent sometime within that month or next month. 30-60 days.

I like going into the store with all of my coupons already loaded and the additional savings available each month. The shopping list is clunky and frequently crashes. I'd like to see a way to check things off and have them move to the bottom, greyed out with a strikethrough so that I can better see what is left to shop for. Deleting items only works if you don't navigate away from the list page (it's easy to do). When you get back, all of your selections are reset.

The app is great! However the security feature has locked me out from the app on my phone several times within last month----it is extremely frustrating. It gives an error that says 'access blocked' but I'm just making my shopping list. It takes forever to get back into the account and I'm trying to go into the store.

The app constantly crashes, you have to log in to the website to retrieve messages from your shopper, AND on two separate occasions I have been charged twice for my groceries. Customer service gives me a different song and dance each time I've contacted them other than to say it's due to user error. It has been over a month of fighting the charges with no resolution still.

The app is good but the pick up process is weird. It will tell you your order is ready but when you open the app it's not obvious. It doesn't jump out at your or have something right at the top that let you click to get started. I have to dig around in my past orders or just call the number to the store. A lot of the time the current order isn't even there at the top. It comes and goes away. Like right now, I've already picked up my order but the app is still telling me to review substitutions.

it takes so long to place an order. the app freezes and will restart itself and itll change to pick up instead of delivery and then you have to cancel your order and start again. and for God's sake, dont delete anything you've already added, it takes forever for the circle to stop swirling so you can continue. I probably could have already gone to food lion and gotten back by the time it takes to finish an order. 2 stars for at least being available in my area.

Love shopping at Food Lion and I love all the savings they offer. My one pet peeve is the puzzle piece security on the app, I hate it, it's unnecessary and inconvenient and at times makes it impossible to use the app because it blocks you for thinking you aren't human. I've had it happen in the middle of my shopping trip and it's beyond infuriating as it takes a while for it to unblock you. If they get rid of it I'll change my review and up it to 5 stars.

I installed both apps AND tried to order through website. Everything I go to checkout it stops working or says I haven't logged in. I just want to order online!!!! Come on people!! New apps are just as bad. I get text messages with links that don't work and not able to get in my order to edit or add after the message says items unavailable.

The Security on this Grocery Store app is equivalent to Fort Knox. I am starting to think it's a scheme so I won't save as much because why are there security checks for adding coupons?!? This is an absolutely stupid feature. I am blocked because I click too fast. It's coupons! not rocket science, I click fast because it's one click and on to the next. I hope they fix this soon or remove it all together.

The "shopping list" function is useless. You can review sales and add an item to the "shopping list" but then there is no function to see those items. The cart is empty, and there is no option to see a "list." I often miss buying items because I miss them in stores. there's a shopping cart. there is a shopping list. there's an add to list from the sale page. yet when you add something from the sales paper page, it doesn't show up in either the shopping cart or the list under the menu option.

Shopping on the app is better than the previous version. However, I'll get a notification that the shopper left a message & I have to log back in & there is no message. Then I will get a notification to approve/decline substitutions, but it's only after the shopper is done and now I am paying for things I don't want. It also doesn't let you choose the substitutions like before, which are Never comparable to what I ordered at all!

keeps locking me out (access blocked) when I look at my clipped coupons. this happens every single time. I have to wait an hour or more to log back in and then it erases my entire cart. this has been happening for months even after countless updates. random clicks is the reason given. it'll even keep me locked out after I uninstall and reinstall.

I like shopping at Food Lion but this app is constantly making it difficult. Asking for security verification while I'm shopping (then determining I'm blocked? why?!) or just freezing up. Force close and reopen or even uninstall/reinstall only helps sometimes. Pickups are hit or miss on whether I can read msgs from the shopper (usually not, and no way to decline subs) and it doesn't always even tell me the order is ready or register I'm there. All the needed permissions are granted. Frustrating

Everytime i try to make a grocery list using the coupons or the cashback I get blocked from the app. for what you ask? clicking on each coupon to view the items you can use them for and then hitting back to coupons. That literally makes this app useless as a savings app. Do you really expect people to use the coupons without viewing them?? Its like 200 items on my grocery list and now my family might suffer because i can not afford to not use savings and coupons . So I can't afford Food Lion.

The app is agonizingly slow and glitchy. A nightmare to use. Takes the convenience out of pick up orders. Its easier and quicker just to go in the store. Honestly, the website is just as bad. Love my local Food Lion, but Food Lion is just not the place if you need the convenience of a pickup order.

The chat feature to speak with the shopper is trash. Also you used to be able to see your prior order but now you cannot unless I'm not aware. The old food lion to go app was MUCH better and more user friendly in my opinion. Other people are frustrated saying they cannot even access the chat. I've experienced that as well. The time it takes fooling around with this app I could have gone shopping in-store 😒

The new app has lots of glitches. It won't save my selection for which store. Won't let me input my zip code for my address and doesn't save my selections for food items when adding to the cart. I like the new coupon feature. Additional complaints: Can't add to order before shopping begins. And can't see what items are chosen as substitutes.

Overall I think it's an awesome app! It saved me $50 on one trip last week. So far this year, (it's almost April), I've saved around $200 and I go once or twice a month, spending $100-$200 at a time. The coupons are great, it caters to what you buy, you can shop and earn money, it's pretty convenient, I use it every time. Only issue I've noticed: the coupon tab has been acting up recently. I apply filter(s), but after showing 4 coupons it says coupons can't be found. Please fix! Thanks

Needs a lot of work! When you drill into the ad in grid form, then back out (either the system arrow or the top left corner arrow) it takes you back to the top of the list instead of where you were, requiring wasteful scrolling. If you add a category (such as Green Giant boxed vegetables) the list acts like the item is there but you can't actually see it. Many items duplicated in the ad list. Did they test this at all? It sure doesn't seem like it.
