Basically just a web browser session. No way for the app to remember your login on a verified device, and no biometric password ability. Required two factor authentication every single time to use it. I tried to log in to download my bill, only to have it kick me to new browser session, requiring me to log in all over again. It seems it's easier to just use a web browser in the first place. Not a very good first impression to a new customer. Come on Freedom, you can do better than this.
Largely useless; the only benefit seems to be the messenger which worked better for me than a mobile browser. The only other benefit is that you don't have to log into your account to see its details. Not really worth whatever data they are gathering through the app. Now that my customer service chat is over the app is being uninstalled and forgotten.
Don't even know where it went on my phone. Disappeared. Had to go thru play store to get in and when i did took for ever to load to try and pay my bill. Stop upgrading when the whole thing isn't broke. Please. I don't even think it saved my info from before all the upgrades. Ugh. I gave you 4 stars on easy to use app cuz it is. Easy to find what you want, it's the loading the page part that's the problem.
For the past year I have been unable to make payment on my bill through the app. It seems it can only be done through a web browser. Update! It's even worse now, the web pages take forever to load, your bill is no longer visible from sign in, and the app started working only to dash our hopes. It's very obvious they do zero upkeep on their servers and zero debugging with their app. The people who run this company are incompetent to a level I've never seen. Freedom is dog water.
Newest update screwed it up even more. Cannot even download your bills anymore, you can click download but nothing happens. Extremely slow and laggy, have to close and restart for the app to even open most times, logging in is a hassle with no option to set a faster way. They took away the option to pay by interac online. Overall just a terrible app.
Makes it rather hard to pay my bill when I can't log in to get my bill or access my account where I've paid for the last 18 months. Had nothing but good things to say about freedom up tell recently. I'm very much hoping this gets sorted out quickly. However, this is going on to a 3rd week, so I suppose we shall see when it comes time to them wanting to get paid. Literal garbage app, I haven't been able to sign in to the app or the website for over a year. When I try to sign in on the app, sometimes it will let me enter my login info but then it freaks out and keeps flashing the screen like it's having a seizure and can't continue to the next page. The website does something similar but instead, it will just send me into a login loop. Unusable garbage!! If the plans weren't so cheap I'd have left Freedom long ago
Terrible app, terrible service. My bank doesn't even require this much multi factor authentication to log in. I've also ported 3 numbers over the last six months and know others that have as well. If they tell you your number ports in 1 - 2 hours, they're lying. It takes weeks for it to be fully resolved. The service is also very inconsistent when your about 30 minutes from a major city. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS.
It takes forever to start. There is no option to use biometrics to login. It asks for an OTP, I understand that's for safety but why not let use the biometrics as the second step authentication (where available). The overall experience is patchy and the biggest issue is that is fails to start at all in most instances. One has to keep force closing and restarting the app to make it work.
It doesn't update correctly and constantly shows previous balance. After you pay it, shows current, like you didn't pay. Comes up with error messages after you pay almost every time!!! You need to call to check if payment went through... It used to work perfectly when it was Wind's account. What went wrong??? It doesn't look different but works so much worse.
I have to close and open it many times before I don't get the infinite spinning wheel of death. it's just a poorly made app (also the online website) that 95% of the time don't load/work. then I get charged an extra fee for paying in person? how is it my fault that your online platforms don't work? rhetorical, don't care about a response. it's bad.
This is like a modified template app. First off to sign in you have to enter your phone number and a secret pin. All good. But then you have to verify your number with a code they send to your SMS. So what's the point of the pin? It's two factor but also not actual two factor. Half the tabs in the app just open the website in an internal browser and yes, you gotta log in again. It's incredible that Freedom provides the data which I use to download working apps. Derp.
Useless app. I understand requiring 2FA, but they don't have a concept of trusted devices, so logging in requires filling in three forms in a row. If you want see a bill or change your plan, the app goes "not my job" and just opens your browser which prompts you to log in again. It makes no sense considering the app is just a wrapper around mobile website. I'll just use the website. What a waste of time.
Viewing available phones and plans in unacceptably slow. Every page takes over a minute to load no matter how fast your internet and device are. Even in a browser on computer it's beyond unreasonable, so it's something on your end. Even loading pages that were JUST viewed takes more than a minute. It feels like instead of keeping it simple and fast, you tried going above and beyond at the expense of functionality.
The Freedom development team really needs an overhaul. I don't know of you're overworked or inexperienced but i have issues with these apps every day and on multiple phones. Some examples: - Wifi app doesn't even open in its current version. (fine in previous) - My Account app constantly says "under maintenance" during the middle of the day - Facebook login is broken - No use of Android Auto-fill - Even the icon isn't properly implemented, making it warped when you download it and it goes on.
kind of useless app, it's basically an internal browser, but if you want to download or view your bill, it boots you to your regular browser and you have to sign in all over again. So it has no use, just skip it and go through your browser. unfortunate because the service is good
"contact us" doesn't go to a human in app. Took 1hr to even find someone who could tell I was a customer after calling 2 numbers, they couldn't help me or tell if I was a customer. Even thier Whatsapp help couldn't help. I had to sign in a website while my Internet wasn't working which was the reason for contacting freedom mobile. Terrible customer support.
Freedom Mobile has the worst app & website I've ever experienced from a retail company. As a company that sells internet and phones, you would think they would have an excellent website & app. But every time I try to log in or do anything in my account, there are nothing but technical issues. Pages take forever to load, server issues, log in issues, gateway issues. It's truly embarrassing!
Unbelievably disorganized, confusing mobile app. Very frustrating to use and make sense of. Balance amounts don't add up correctly as some numbers are reflected as before tax, yet my credit charge total is plus taxes. ??? What is the logic of this discrepancy. I can't even get a monthly statement for the other phones connected to my account. Bill history doesn't exist for other phones for download. Your I.T. department is not very competent with basic accounting best practices.
If i could give zero i would. Was good years ago, now the app glitches and logs me out after entering security code. I attempt to pay my bill only and it always declines ANY type of payment card i use (debit and credit). Online website and automated phone payment line also never work so we are forced to pay in person and be charged an extra fee for doing that. Fix your garbage app, you make enough money to run a mobile app more decently.
