Freepik: Design & edit with AI

I've only tried out the free version, so the paid version might be better, but the phone app is incredibly buggy. I got sever error messages on even the simplest prompts. The image generator is pretty good, but the UI on the phone app is horrible. Sometimes it will show the image you created, but when you tap on it to expand it or to download it, nothing happens. Overall, it's too frustrating to use. I think it has potential to be better, but it needs a lot more work. There are better options.

5.9/10. Freepik is a decent app! Good for creating images. However, in the last few updates, the app is free to use and user-friendly, but I experienced that now it has become money-hungry, just like what CapCut did. They made AI features, like almost every app feature, limited to use freely, became Pro (premium), and less user-friendly! But overall, it’s decent enough.

Edit: It seems there is no video generation possible in the free version. I wish that they made that clear so I didn't waste my time with this! 😡 Unusable for videos! I can successfully create pictures. Attempting to create a video always produces a message saying "Usage limit reached. You've reached the limit of simultaneous generations. You'll be able to generate when the current ones finish processing.' I will uninstall and try something else.

The app works fine, but the subscription and upgrade flow is extremely misleading. I subscribed through the app and later tried to upgrade to the Premium+ ($39) plan, only to find out it’s impossible to upgrade inside the app. The “Upgrade” button sends you to the website, but the website can’t upgrade app-based subscriptions. You’re basically stuck unless you cancel and wait. This isn’t explained anywhere in the app, and there’s no warning that subscribing through Google Play limits your plan o

UPDATE: Suddenly stopped working after monthly payment. all I receive is Error Credits not Consumed. No answers to be found. I reinstalled the app and still can't use!!! This app is the absolute best thing I've found to generate AI photos of whatever I want. I'm an artist at heart and in my free time I love to create beautiful pictures. This allows me to design the elements and the AI takes care of the compilation and returns a wonderful rendering of my ideas. THANK YOU for this. It's amazing 🤩

as of March 2026, this app is pure trash. I pay for the $10 a month subscription and I've been waiting over an hour for a 10-second video to generate. I could not even generate a text to the image. I will wait 24 hours and I will report these fools!

Limited options Considering how much functionality there is in the browser, some phones (especially phones that have S Pens) could have nodes, or more options choosing generator models in image and video generation.

freepik is a nice app and generates good images very fast and better and this can be done without even using the pro version but it has a problem, it always log somebody out almost every 3days or so.

I'm an individual user of Freepik. I'm attached to it half of my day. For a better experience, I installed the Freepik App on my phone. But I'm having some trouble with it. When I search for a user with their Account name, eg. @user123, it shows an error. I couldn't find the resources uploaded by the user i searched for. Please consider this issue and try to solve this.

This app was a major disappointment and I strongly advise others to stay away. I subscribed for a month and received 18k credits, but every single one was wasted. The video quality is extremely poor, trying to create a video of a (dhol) being played was completely unrealistic. There was no rhythm, the drum’s strap disappeared, and the movements did not follow the prompt at all. Freepik is not a charity; users pay expecting value, but the app fails to deliver. Avoid this app if you want quality.

the provided tools are amazing (web browser) the only thing lacking in the app are more tools just like those in the web version. Also the ability to select multiple images to delete instead of doing it one by one, that would be awesome... thanks Freepik team

they steal your points if you don't use them every month. they trick you into a subscription and totally stop your progress. this should change. if my money buys me credit, then I should be able to use that credit whenever I choose, not when you allow me

the app was ok until it stopped working several days ago (a week or maybe more). i can't generate with the app or even browse my latest creations. The app shows only the ones i made before that 1 week. i tried to clear cache, clear data, or even reinstall it.. but nothing seems to be working. disappointing 😞

freepik as a marketplace is absolutely amazing 👏 not only has it got hundreds of thousands of assets for various scenarios, they have multiple Ai models.

it's really really good. I’m satisfied with this app because it’s free. I mostly use it to create my animations and make pictures. It would be perfect if you could improve the quality of the images it generates.

Suddenly it stopped working at all. It's not generating any kind of image except showing generation error. Also doesn't listen to the actual prompt and doesn't obey.

Wonderful app. Beautiful photos. Wish, though that it depicts African settings and models in a more authentic manner, instead of using mixed race African American models to depict Africans.

ran into a payment problem loop error and after 1 week, 50 open cases and several tries, support isn't capable of fixing this... wonderful app, but I'm exhausted with this issue and I quit

good app I tried to edit something on canvas but didn't work so I used freepik but my problem is the freepik web for photo editing you have only one trial for the day they should improve on that but so far good job 👍👌💪
