After returning to this game in 2026, it is still so much fun, especially in Arcade Mode. It will let you watch ads to gain currency but otherwise doesn't constantly show you them like other games(THE WAY IT SHOULD BE). When you can hit all three bananas in Arcade Mode, it is the most chaotic and hilarious thing you will ever see in a game. It's been years but I missed this game.

This game didn't need internet before, but now it requires internet to play and I get an ad after every single game. I have been encountering a glitch every once in a while where another cursor shows up at a random time, and it ruins my combos. If you play arcade mode, your score is mostly determined by RNG. Some times I play good and get less than 1000 points and other times I just get lucky getting significantly more bananas, therefore getting 1500-2000+ points. Still a decent game.

The progression systems are awful in this game. At first it feels so rewarding getting blades, Starfruit, and power ups when leveling up. But when you get past level 50 there's absolutely nothing at all. It's like they forgot to add content to the leveling system. Which is where I come to my next point, you get more rewarded by watching ADS than playing the actual game! Daily quests don't scale when you're at a higher level. Events are the only thing that meaningfully rewards the player... 😑

Coming back to this game after some years I find that it has gotten better than it was. It used to be ad filled with a confusing UI. Now the UI is simpler, easier to use, and the game is better because of it with not many ads. In all honesty my biggest gripe is how bad upgrading is. There are like 3 dojos and blades that you can get from leveling up and the rest are in boxes which can ONLY be gotten from micro transactions. If you could convert stars into gems I wouldn't care, but you can't.

Hello. Want to say that this game was amazing, and I used to play it ever since i was five, and i have fond memories with the game! However, nowadays, when i came back into the game, I found that it's now filled with ads, how many? A LOT. Everytime i finish a round, either an ad pops up, or the game makes me say "I love ads", and it's really annoying, i hope the game gets less ads.

This game is super fun. I like that there are multiple types of games, like arcade and zen and classic and multi player. My only complaint so far is that when you have the water blade and you have the wave upgrade, when I get a wave, a bomb always shows up and kills me. It's so annoying because I'm not a pro at the game, and I always lose that way. Please fix that. Other than that, I really enjoy the game.

Game used to be amazing a few years ago, and now it's just an empty shell of what it once was. There's several blades to unlock in the game, back then you had to complete a specific challenge to unlock a blade, nowadays you have to open boxes by watching ads or paying money just to do so. I've opened at least 30 boxes and have only unlocked 2 blades. Also the game will mis-register your swipes and you'll get a combo, but the game won't count it. The more I play now, the more sad I feel, shame.

Overall, as someone who is not a gamer I like this game a lot. It's not really difficult ( which is great ) and arcade mode is the best. I don't like classic mode but to each their own. One issue: I did recently get a blade I didn't want. Then today it got upgraded even though I chose "skip" when it was shown as an item in the red gift box. Now, I can't get rid of it. Unless I'm missing something shouldn't I have not gotten this blade upgrade when I told the game to skip?

Been playing this game for years and it's always a fun way to escape the world for a bit. Enough to keep my attention with 3 different game modes to choose from. Classic is more "fast paced". If you prefer a game that is more relaxed and won't make you anxious, there is "Zen" mode. Earn different swords and dojos as you play. It's just a simple, fun game.

Downloaded for the nostalgia, but all the other reviews are right. Its definitely a money grab now instead of the fun game I remember. The UI is not user friendly anymore, the game is very cluttered and laggy, and it didn't even save my progress. I played it right after I downloaded it and got to level 7, but when I opened the app today it says I'm only level 2 and it drained all my coins too. Also discovered there's no ads at first, but they show up after you've been playing a while. Shady.

I'm already at level 30, & I really like the different features the blades & dojos have. I previously complained about being unable to get the Yes Chef dojo, but that's been fixed. Thank you Halfbrick Studios! One request, though: I'd like to be able to view the different achievements, & maybe progress past level 30. I previously complained about the game crashing, but that was fixed in the most recent update too!

An amazing, addicting, and satisfying game that,has challenges and missions, as well as different game modes. The only reason I am taking off a star is because they recently took away a section with mini games, which was my favorite section. But it is still very fun, and if they added back the mini game section, I would like it even more.

I gave it three stars, if I could I would rate it 3.5 out of 5. It's a cool game to play when you have nothing to do. But I miss the old fruit ninja, when you had to use starfruit to buy blades. And another thing, yall need to do something about the ads and arcade mode. The ads are mad annoying, you have to watch one after every game. And arcade mode. The rating would be higher but there were so many ads and pop ups for either buying no ads or watching an ad. I also wasnt able to have anything going on in the backround of my phone. Overall though its really fun to play and the multiplayer option allows me to be able to form a better connection/connect with others. Arcade mode is really fun. Classic mode is quite a fun challenge. Zen mode is there when u want to destress. Too many ads and it gets rid of my stuff runing in the backround. 😒😡

This game is Fruit-tastic! It's fun and addictive! The cool part is, once I deleted it, my progress came back! That's one of the cool parts, and another cool part are the blades. Like, the Pixel Lover I belive is what it's called? That's a cool one. But everyone is complaining on that they can't get blades and dojos now. Cuz there in boxes and it requires gems to get the boxes, and they don't know how to get gems. What I do to unlock that stuff, is by doing events! But great game Halfbrick.

This game is quite good, and close to as fun and addictive as the original one, BUT, the ads are completely out of control; there is one after every game (game usually lasting a minute or so). You also can't really get cosmetics without paying for them, which is fine I guess, but is not good for the f2p players. The game is also TERRIBLY optimized, its laggy, and it sometimes deletes progress; you really need a Google play account connected to it or you will likely lose progress.

There is a combo event going on currently. I play for a few minutes and rack up a couple hundred combos putting me in 1st place. If I close the app and open it up later on, my progress is lost. I'm back at 0. It happens every time. Seems like another ploy to get you to grind more so that you watch more ads 🙄 all these reviews and feedback and yet no improvements. It's as if yall just want us to shut up and give you our money.

This game is great, still the same fun mobile game I remember from when I was little. I don't hate watching ads, but the game has a very annoying glitch where watching an ad will make all audio from the game disappear, and it won't come back unless you reload the app. I also think that making any in-app purchase should disable ads. Despite the devs saying that making any purchase would disable ads, I still get them after buying a special offer.

Fun, but the main screen when you just get into the game is really chaotic, I don't care about the updates or news, I just want to play classic mode. Also it takes forever to load. And there is wayyy too many adds, and requires an internet connection to use. Not worth paying to get rid of adds, and now the game is just way too complicated, but the old version was so much better. Don't waste money on this game .

It's not even that enjoyable anymore. It constantly wants to freeze and crash, and I know it's not my phone or wifi. Sometimes, it bugs out and doesn't register combos. The sword swings by itself sometimes. But the worst part is the ads that are constant and forced unless you pay. At this point, the game is only there to make money off of you. It's not nearly as good as it once was. Also, getting the dupicates to level up the sword is ridicnostalgia. it's not worth down even for nostalia.
