I downloaded this app to get my photos off of my XQ2. Turns out the app no longer has compatibility with a large portion of the X series cameras. I spent a long while trying to figure out what was going wrong and what was crashing my camera. Turns out, hidden in the settings under a tiny notice button, there's a long list of issues and an eventual notice that these cameras are no longer supported. Might want to lead with that notice instead of hiding it in the very back hoping no one catches on.

Way to go...you screwed this up even worse than the previous version!! Now you absolutely have to connect to wifi before you can transfer any photos. Previous version you did not. If your lucky, you may be able to get it to connect by restarting your phone 10times. MAYBE. I never had an issue with the old version. I never needed to connect to a wifi network no matter where i was. THIS "UPDATE" SUCKS!!!

I'm glad this app exists, but it's pretty unreliable. It can take 5-10 minutes to set up photo transfer each time you use it, especially when switching between two devices (phone and tablet). Which makes it worth it when shooting for a full day. But this app is far more interesting when doing quick one off shooting on the go. Even when photo transfer is working it's VERY slow. The camera also tries to complete a transfer even if it has no connection at the time of shutoff, draining battery.

Works fine for remote control shooting, if you follow the prompts exactly: turn on the camera and phone, turn on the camera WiFi, then connect on the phone. Any other order will send it off into Never Never Land. Can't get it to download photos to a Samsung phone, but it works on my Samsung tablet and it worked on my previous phone, a Google Pixel 3.

Not very usable. My use case is trivial - I want to set auto upload on, and run the app in the background to automatically transfer the pictures to my smartphone. Sometimes it works , sometimes it doesn't. Very frustrating. FUJIFILM team, please publish the details of your image transfer protocol, so that other people can create apps to transfer the pictures. Having a functional third-party apps will only increase the customer satisfaction with your products and will increase your sales.

This app is all around terrible. Making a connection is incredibly convoluted. And then if you try remote shooting video you are limited to 720p (!?), and you cannot control focus from the app, and then once you start shooting you can't change any parameters. Just stunningly bad. I'm so disappointed. I was ready to buy a fancy Fujifilm camera to be able to shoot video remotely. Guess I'll stick with Canon or Panasonic.

Well, it used to connect to my camera, most of the time. Today I've been fighting it for half an hour with no luck. It will connect just long enough to tantalize me, allow me to select one or two images in the app for transfer, then disconnect, mocking me. I am sick of how flaky this app is. It won't even download the newest firmware update.

WOW! It's amazing how a big, old, powerful, and supposedly high tech company is so unable to create an app that actually works. this is the work Camera Connect app, all the other ones are bad to OK, this one is able to make it as the worse. Please, Fuji, hire a teenager as a trainee to write your app, even if you just give them a camera with nice lenses and an ice cream they'll make something better than this.

Why is it that FUJIFILM can make a great camera, pharmaceuticals and other great products but fails miserably at creating a smartphone app. Attaching and using it is so hit and miss, connectivity is the highest hurdle each time. Once it's running things work as expected. I wish it did a better job for remote video shooting. Never us it for photo transfer, just connecting would take too long each time, I just pop out the SD card and use an OTG reader on my smartphone or an SD reader on my desktop computer.

It connected to my Xt4 the first day I used it and was great for transferring some photos to post real quick, but then the next day up until now (over a month later) it still won't connect, even though it acts like it does. I can only get the Jpg photos if I turn on auto transfer and that only works with the photos I just took, I can't pick and choose. I also can't live view shoot which has been really annoying. Please fix this Fuji!!!

Ok, when the app actually works, it works pretty well. But that's only like 20% of the time. Sometimes, the app just won't find the camera. I can see it create a hotspot and the camera is also searching, but it just doesn't connect. Okay, now if you do get a connection, then the next issue is slow transferring of pictures. And I mean sloooow. Like 30-60 seconds for a picture. Sometimes it's as quick as 15 seconds, but usually it's just slow. I would say the connection issues are the most important to fix. Please Fuji!

Difficult, I think is how I'm going to describe this experience. I had the OnePlus 6T, and the app was flawless. Connected instantly. Bought a Note 10+ and the app connected once, then never again. I live with this feature of the camera, but now I'm stuck without the ability to quickly transfer photos over. I used to be out and about with my X-T2, snapping photos. Pause to transfer, edit them post directly from my phone. Now, that quick option is out the window. Please, Fujifilm, fix this.

Unusable. Pairing it with the camera is cumbersome and flakey. Even when it works, it is not very useful. It has potential to turn your phone into a wireless monitor, but it restricts the viewing river to the to third of the screen. There is no way to use it in landscape mode. Fujifilm cameras are awesome, but this app is a disappointment. I hope they fix it.

The Fuji system is great. This app is error prone, at best. Some days I can get it up and running and transferring photos or controlling my camera, and others there's just no way it'll connect. Maybe app updates fix/break the app... I'm just really not sure, but I wish this app was more reliable. And when it is working, I wish it was easier and faster to connect to my camera.

This app used to be good for transferring photos from my camera to my phone. However, recently it will not work. I can connect it to the Fujifilm wifi from the camera, and then it connects on the phone for a few seconds. It is able to connect to the camera's wifi, but not actually use the apps functions. When I try to do anything whether it's a photo transfer, or browsing the camera from my phone, it stops working and just disconnects, saying "cannot connect." I don't know why it's doing this.

There are no words... this app used to be merely bad. It would connect to the camera about half the time and usually if it wouldn't connect restarting the app or the phone would correct the problem. But after the most recent update, Fuji has outdone themselves, and not in a good way. I've gone as far as deleting and reinstalling the app and repairing it with my cameras but no dice. It absolutely refuses to connect. Thank goodness the cameras themselves are awesome...

I have used Fujifilm's excellent X-series cameras for the past four years. Fuji have put so much technological expertise into their cameras, and yet seem to have taken a "meh... whatever" attitude with their wireless connectivity solution. The connection process, file transfer and remote control functions have serious limitations I typed out but this review box told me I was out of room so let's get to the real kicker. Something so astoundingly inept you'll struggle to believe it, but here goes... Geotagging - finally something I can actually use... until I can't. So, I connect the camera to my phone and select Geotagging. The app tells me it will send location data from my phone to the camera for 60-minutes and starts a countdown. A reassuring icon appears on my camera's screen & viewfinder. This leads me to believe that for the next hour, GPS data will be sent to my camera for each image I capture, right? WRONG. The coordinates received by the phone at the time of connection are attached to EVERY image, no matter where I move. To update, I have to disconnect and reconnect the app. Are you kidding me? Fuji, photographers are not barnacles, we move around. Just a little FYI.

The remote app requires a very careful process to connect it, and it doesn't work consistently. Not user friendly. But the worst part is that sometimes I can connect to my xt30 as a camera control to photo wildlife. But even with the camera 10 feet from my phone (note 9) the app gets slow and freezes and sometimes disconnects. Perhaps it's android? Nope. My ipad does the same thing. Horrible pairing and connection quality issues. I'd expect so much better with how good the camera is.

Basically does not work. If you want to connect the camera, you have to delete it from your phone and re add it every time. Once you do, you might get 1 or two pictures to transfer before the app crashes or the connection breaks. And the ones that do transfer can take up to a minute, each. It's absolutely horrible. The year is 2022... What is going on with camera companies.

If only there was an option for 0 star rating. I've tried many times to connect to camera and it rarely works. Yes - BT, WiFi & location services are all enabled on the phone. BT pairs fine but that's as far as i get. Why is it so hard to make an app which works reliably? To make matters worse i couldn't even connect Pixel 3 to camera & do manual file transfer. Phone USB doesn't recognize the camera as a "card".
