Great app, not enough compatibility with Fighting Club 5. E.g: Want to create a new item within an ongoing campaign? Ideally, I could create it in my compendium, then share that item with relevant party members. Instead, I have to have each affected PC add it on their own. It would be easier if each compendium item had a share option, like adventure treasure items do. Also the sharing should all be within the apps instead of by email. Maybe by using accounts to sign into the app or something.

I'm not sure what's going on but I spent an hour yesterday adding encounters to an adventure and when I opened the app this morning, everything I added was gone. now that i think about it, it's happened a half a dozen times before but it was only a single encounter disappearing so i thought I just had forgotten to hit 'add' at the end. otherwise, the app is fine. would like to be able to add NPCs that have standard Stats, and not monsters.

Amazing. I downloaded it as a way to help manage combat better, just for that it's worth it. But it does so much more. I almost immediately went for the paid version. Both premade and on the fly encounters work great (as long as it's not something you're going to have to manually enter stats, which you can do) just add enemies, check the boxes for players or npcs that are paticipating, and it rolls for, and tracks initiative, rounds, damage, and time elapsed.

Haven't used it in session yet but I think it will come in handy. May have been better off using an encounter creator online somewhere but I digress. I think one of the things severely lacking is the ability to add items to characters. I should be able to put a weapon on a PC simply but it currently isn't case. It does it automatically with enemies so I don't understand why it can't be done with PC. Also no place to pu misc items.

I really like the app but I wish there was more to add in the "Adventures" section. There is more to a good game than combat encounters and treasure. But really what I would like is if combat was a little more intuitive. Say it's my monsters turn. I would like to be able to select a target, roll my attack against that target to see if it hits, roll damage, and have the damage apply automatically. It would streamline things for me very much as a DM who doesn't like to get bogged down in combat.

Absolutely amazing... When it wants to be. It was working fine for me for awhile, but inputting monsters one by one became far too tedious. So I found a way to import based upon coding written on the computer, making the process more streamlined. However I found that then going back to trying to put something in one by one resulted in many crucial things not being saved. Even after uninstalling and undoing everything it's still fails to save. So this is great ... if you only use the basic book

I got this because I had a great experience with Fight Club 5E. Game Master 5E is a good concept, but it definitely needs some polishing. The current setup is very limiting on how you plan your campaign and really only lets you plan encounters and a basic story plot. Overall the interface is pretty scattered, and it's difficult to actually run a session off of. I would honestly reccomend a pen and paper over this. It needs a major overhaul to fix all of this.

I paid for the upgrade. I used this app successfully for five sessions. Then it went nuts. It froze, completely halted my tablet, and caused it to shutdown. After the tablet restarted, I realized the app had completely wiped itself. Not only that, but the backup data was also gone causing me to rebuild my entire campaign. Needless to say, I won't be using this app again.

Extremely useful, has become a staple for running my campaigns and creating custom content. I STRONGLY recommend keeping backup files when using this, as I've had two separate instances where the compendium section was corrupted over an 8-10 month period. On top of that, the app doesn't seem to export files in the same format it wants them to be imported, so be prepared to read the in-app tutorials and edit xml files lest you make any of your own additions from scratch again.

If you view this app as a encounter/combat tool then you will be very happy! You can organize initiative, reference moster stat blocks, track HP, gauge encounter difficulty all from the same screen. It has made combat a breeze! I wouldn't use it to keep up on my entire campaign, though. You should really be using One Note or something similar for that, but if you're looking to streamline combat, then this is the perfect app for you!

This is by far the best encounter tracker / campaign manager out there! It's so good that I actually use Bluestacks so I can use it on my PC. My only complaint is that it would be far more useful if notes allowed rich text formatting. Also for some reason I'm unable to add pictures in bluestacks, though I have no idea if that's the fault of GM5 or Bluestacks.

I love this app. I use it for all my combat tracking needs. Because I am able to put in monster stats, I no longer need to flip pages looking for stat blocks and I can have lots of different monsters in the same combat. It also helps me organize the encounters into game sessions and keep things laid well in hand. It's my GM notebook! My only wish is that I could sync with some kind of desktop app so I can input the monsters and notes that way.

The app is useful when it works, but when it doesn't it goes really bad. I was adding in some monsters for an encounter using the in-app mechanic and with no error message or indication of accident on my part my entire compendium of monsters and spells were gone. Between both of those I had 50+ homebrews/ conversions from other TTRPGs. Didn't delete anything else though, my recommendation to users is ALWAYS back up your compendium and campaigns as an external file for quick reupload.

Deleted my first campaign as I maxed out encounters in the free version and wasn't able to upgrade. I emailed about the issue, but never got a response, so I uninstalled the app after deleting my first (and only) save. Re-installed (again, hoping to upgrade and buy the product) but my old save file popped back up and I still didn't have the ability to upgrade to the paid version. I love the player app and both of my brothers use this app to DM and love it. But I have not had the same experience.

fantastic tool for all DMs. The encounter and initiative tracker is perfect! I am super excited to implement this in my games becuase of how awesome it is. I knocked off a couple of stars because it takes a bit to get used to it, but the biggest thing is that it doesnt support traps. If Lion's Den reads this, I hope you guys can make a quick update so that you can throw traps into encounters. If not, I hope to see it implemented in the future

It has almost everything, except for a few essentials. There are subfolders in the form of the adventures tab, but it would be nice if I could add subfolders to the other tabs, like npcs, treasures, and notes It also lacks an xp tracker for characters. This alone is stopping me from completely switching from 5e Companion App and buying the premium option. Full customization of players would be pretty neat too. It would be nice if I could see all of there class features w/o switching to FC.

Love this app, super practical and flexible. It's made my life as DM much easier. One thing I wish they would change though. When rolling for initiative, the settings give you the option to group together similar creatures so they share initiative. But, if you also try to auto-roll for player characters, it groups PCs together and gives them all the same initiative. It should be possible to just group enemies but not players, which is the most common way people run initiative.

Okay so this app was amazing, I even bought the premium version so I could use it to run my campaigns, I made a ton of homebrew creatures and npcs. Here is what has really made me dislike the app, I went to edit a description on one of my main Villains, I finish it, click off of it, and then I check the bestiary, and everything is gone. Not just the stuff I made, the bestiary is completly gone, as well as all spells, all weapons, EVERYTHING. I really liked this app. But its unusable.

Overall, amazing. I can homebrew monster in a much easier fashion by either building off something similar, or from scratch. Can even add a picture. Is also very nice for fast referencing creatures for encounters, or Druids. I would like the digital roller option to not be as clicky. For example: auto rolling an attack on a non attack action, that I must click over just to get the correct dice and modifiers. Gets tedious at times. Edit: it just erased a year's worth of homebrew monsters...

It was extremely great and easy to use for a month and a half, until the app deleted all monsters and spells. Fortunately I had files to redownload, but all the work I personally did got deleted, or misplaced somewhere. No idea how it happened. Everything was there, and the next moment, gone.
