Game of War - Fire Age

This was a great game once. Now, most troops are useless, and you need to pay for extra items (tomes or some special fruit) just to train soldier types that have already been unlocked. 1 top tier demigod troop can just wipe out trillions and trillions of lesser demigod troops and not even get a scratch🙄 You need to buy things just to do research for new combat strategies. Everything is so costly, and it has definitely lost its fun factor. I'm not spending another cent. It's just ridiculous now.

I played this game for a little over a year. It was really great when it first hit the scene. So fun meeting and communicating with people all over the world. Helped build a really strong alliance and we were actually doing pretty well. It was easy to build up and create a formidable stronghold but sooner rather than later everyone who really wanted to compete was having to spend hundreds of dollars, including myself. I had to bow out. Leaving behind many new friends in the process, as you really do come to know many new people, but, it was just WAY too much to keep up with. I don't mind having to spend a "little" money for a game or experience but, not THOUSANDS of dollars! As depressing as it sounds that's exactly what MZ expects from you. Not just 50$ or 100$ (which should give you everything you need in ANY given game) I'm literally talking thousands of dollars. Everything "NEW" that comes out...be prepared to pay for it in a 100$ pack (minimum if you really want to compete) and you don't even get everything you need from that alone...I watched a lot of people waste a lot of money on this BS. F***ing crazy. *Game is a pay to play...don't waste your time or money.

I have invested in the game and I am still behind. The packs are no real help in leveling as it was in the beginning. The entire operation of the game has exceeded its scope. Times for building, researching, etc, is a pain. I feel now that I have wasted time and money. My alliance is no longer active, I deem solely on the redundancy of the game. I like the game, but now it feels like a money vacuum with no rewards for the spender. Scrolling issues included along with server lag.

gameplay is confusing and to directly purchase something is impossible. I have noticed there are events to seem that last forever(and i have checked they appear to do) samething with sales. You cannot directly purchase how much gold you want instead you have to get a bundle and then get too expensive. I see no option to purchase 2 building, or research cues. There is almost no grace period for the events or sales. Also the events, I don't know how to get the certain item or do a thing to compete

A good game (maybe 3-5 years ago). A solid and solid strategy game concept to collaborate with other players. Fast forward to present time. I've been inactive player for a long time. While checking all of my city tiles almost 40% of it is unlocked and the way to unlock it is to buy. Another dimension is introduced but you will go back to square one. To summarize it, the game evolved to a money making scheme instead of entertainment.

The number 1 guy who spent $100,000s can and will attack you and destroy you even though you just started and have basically nothing. The top players can literally teleport directly next to you instantly, it's an in game item. I also see ads for this game that have NOTHING to do with what the gameplay is like. I've been an android guy for years and this is, by far, the worst game I've come across. It is full of shifty, immoral, and simply wrong business practices.

Please do not even waste your time or money on this game. You have to spend your whole paycheck to compete or even amount to anything. I wasted over $3,000 in this game and went on hiatus for 3 months and now all the money was for nothing and all I could do was stay shielded the whole time cause my gear was to weak.That being said, new better gear and items are released weekly and its a minimum of $99 to buy a pack to keep up. Nobody has that kind of money don't waste it on something so intangible. Nothing is free on this game as well, the company is money hungry and this game is a complete waste of time and money. PLEASE HEAR MY WARNING, you will end up broke cause your addicted and it will be for nothing you may even lose you significant other. This company should be sued cause it is not a play for free game or app. ITS A TRAP! Shame on Machine Zone. PERIOD!

Having to purchase a pack before you can start training troops is abysmal. No good reason for the game to have devolved like this. I went back and logged into my account from 2015 and none of the stuff I worked on for months actually meant anything. Not in the "I'm way far behind" kind of way, but in the "my troops weren't even valid and disappeared when I tried to heal them at one of my hospitals" kind of way. The menus are terrible, and half of them would cause the game to soft lock. 0/5

The game is nothing like ANY of the video depictions. Money is the only way to get powerful. Game play is very slow and boring. If you buy any of the bundles, they will mostly be filled with useless items and very rarely have what you really need. The "Black Market" is rarely open and when it is, the items you need the most will, eventually, become unavailable. This "Free" game is very expensive, if you want to advance. Update: Game structure, play and cost has gotten worse. Game hard to start.

Fun for awhile but frusterating once you get to a certain level. Its hard to progress quickly without spending a lot of money on upgrades, resources, speedup and just about everything else needed in game. Packages are $100 for decent items after first two packages. Except to spend a lot if you want to grow quickly and enjoy certain aspects if the game. Also requires daily play if you dont want to be demolished constantly by other players.

This game is a pay to win. There is no way to ever get ahead without buying in. The developers cleverly add timer buttons so you waste speed ups or loyalty trying to complete daily objectives. Pack prices are what you pay for. Average buy in is 100$ USD. If there is a special sale for say 20$, you get 20 dollars worth an it dosent have much to offer. The game developers are constantly adding new content and items and you have to have key items in order to keep up. Its not exciting. Not worth it.

CASH COW. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. I used to have fun, was spending a little money every month and had grown to the point that I wasn't a target to everyone. Then they upped the price of all packages to $100. I bought one still, once in a blue moon. Then they changed gameplay all together. All the items i had paid for in the past (food, soldiers, money, et cetra) became USELESS and I HAD to buy multiple hundred dollar packages to keep from being slaughtered constantly. No more.

if you play this game your a stupid fool. this is the biggest money trap game ever. you'll need to spend minimum $2000 just to be competitive or avoid constantly getting hit. trust me, there's idiots who spend more, like $4000 to $6000. it's about what dumby spends the most. the game has many glitches, hesitation and requires alot of time to play. and I mean alot,4 to 8 hours daily. the game progresses fast. money spent will have become pointless, so you'll have to spend more. Money! Money!! Money!!! If you have Money. You'll go far in this game. I started in the beginning . Research, etc. Endless clicking. Etc. The game was fun. You pick a team. Start the war. Build up etc. Then they added more and the le else are ridiculously high and the gear is off the charts. Now you can buy a pack.upgrade your whole area and then shield you spot not come back for s month and upgrade again....lol. You got money to spend. Waste it on this game. Otherwise dont bother.

It's crack. I love this game. Extremely competitive. Get in with a good alliance and you're fine. You don't necessarily need to spend money, but they always have deals on packs, which is always tempting! It's really fun and addictive. 2014 Years later they've become money hungry and the game doesn't even make sense anymore. Pay to play players makes this game suck big time. Very disappointed, used to love it and paid a decent amount into it, but not enough apparently. - 2019

as others have said, dont bother if youre not going to dig deep into your pockets. and have hundred of hours to spend doing countless items of research that are planned out in such a manner as to take a long time to complete. (ie convoluted prerequisites so basically have to just keep clicking through seeing what you can research in some cases as theres no easy way to tell.)

Heed the warnings in these reviews. Played for 2+ years in the begining. Spending 99.00 on packs to stay the top alliance. Back then you knew which gear and troops you needed. Then it became utterly ridiculous trying to keep up because you need to buy new gear, troops, speedups every few days to compete. I spent more than I want to admit and have nothing to show for it. Oh wait! I have a SH sitting somewhere with a decapitated hero with tons of useless gold, gear, etc.. Don't be me.

Probably top 10 heaviest spend to win games since its release. Not even a great game even if you spend heavy either. Over conpleticated, avatar skills, equipment system, and sets. Requires you to spend nearly 50 dollars a week, every week to get ahead and stay there, sometimes more. Dont waste your time or money, dozens of far better spend to wins less than a tenth as spend heavy than this.

WARNING!!! Do not buy this game! This is a pay to win game literally. If you're expecting to become a powerhouse in this game without spending money...prepare to spend 50 years playing this game and being dedicated to it everyday. Once you get past a certain threshold it takes forever to train, research, and construct building...seriously. I'm talking about 148 days, 365 days, 493 days, 837 days, etc. I'm not bullsh**ing you it takes real life days. You have spend money 2 get speed boost.

I liked this game when I started playing years ago. You needed strategy, planning, calculation of troops for every attack etc. But, all you need now is money. With about $300 in game, plus a $200 dedicated tablet invested in the game, I was barely surviving. Because there were people who spent that much every couple of weeks, and some really rich people who'd spent thousands. All that meant was I could never survive against them. Unless you can spent a few thousand dollars on a game, don't play.
