Useless. I use a Wiz wifi lamp for my lounge room and it took me 3 minutes to set up. I've been at it with Genio for 35 minutes and getting nowhere setting up a simple wifi dimming light. In the manual, I can't try half the troubleshooting steps because the app literally does not have the function the manual says to try. At the end of the manual, it says to try use an iPhone/iPad to set up a new device....what a joke. Getting refund immediately.
Trash. I bought 2 overpriced LED strips, and just wanted to be able to change the colours for my kids' bedrooms. Twenty minutes of fiddling to connect the devices to the app, only to find that the lights only occasionally respond to inputs in the app, and constantly revert back to a horrible red colour. The app is slow and bloated... waste of time and money. I'm going to request a refund from the store. c.
Had to return led lights due to pairing issues but problems persist. Tried every remediation and contacted support. The app is non-responsive, changing colour or turning light off does not work or is extremely slow, unable to group the light with existing Genio lights and has now disconnected. Reading the app reviews, it is clear that it is not a faulty device, rather a faulty product line. Steer clear of this eco system for your lighting needs. Should not be sold in shops.
I used this app and multiple bulbs without major problems for years. However, in the last few months the app has become COMPLETELY useless - often takes 3-5 attempts to open it due to crashes, and then it won't respond to trying to change the brightness, colour of lights etc. One of my bulbs is also now frequently flicking off/un-pairing. I'm extremely unhappy.
Love the products but the app is so frustrating. I've purchased two products so far and both have proved the app to be completely unreliable. I have a steady internet connection and keep my Bluetooth on almost 24/7 yet whenever I load the app it always shows my devices as "Offline" yet I can turn them on and change their colours manually and since their "Offline" I can't use the app to control anything. On the days it does load and say "Connected" their actually off and I can't click anything.
Used to be ok, but now it's a terrible glitchy mess when it wasn't before, so it makes no sense why it is now, and it's been over a year. I will say though, DO NOT USE IF YOU HAVE EPILEPSY! I'm serious! I live in an area that's prone to power outages and if the power is out for more the a few seconds then when it comes back on, the lights starts flashing like crazy, full on strobe light, full brightness even if you didnt have it at that before and cant turn off till it reconnects in 5 minutes
I think you need to update your app. I have a Candle that has worked just fine. Went to turn it on & it started flashing. Went to reset & connect it. Always fails to connect at the last second of download. States it's my wifi or password. Same one I've had for years. I can only assume that it's an app problem. Plenty of other people also having similar problems with the app. Would be nice if you listened to the customers. I've done all the recommendations and the light just continues to flash.
Used to work well, but in the last few weeks the programs I've had set up for the last couple of years have stopped working and deleted themselves from the app, and the lights are turning themselves on in the middle of the night randomly green, but the last two days, red! And tonight, they just started flashing red and we had to turn the system off. I tried to set the schedules again, but there's now no option to turn them off at a set time, only on.

Woeful. Most of the time I can't access the settings page for each device. The on off switches sometimes take up to 1 min to activate from the home page device list. Yet the tap to run scenes seem to work fine. So it's not my network. Very frustrating to not be able to turn a light on and off when you want to or change colour. Basic usage not working well at all. In contrast I have two Phillips Hue devices outdoors and they work seamlessly.
Honestly..It was great at first, but it keeps getting worse and worse. Not had it 8 months and the scheduled feeds are no longer working. Set it up and save it. When I go back in, I have no scheduled feed listed. Even though I have just done it. Plus all lights are on, its plugged in and connected to WiFi, yet the app says the device is offline. So having to continuously unplug and reset the entire thing with my phone. Partner isn't able to connect either..
Really great when I first got them. Little trouble setting up but after that they were perfect. Stopped using it for a little bit and now it does work at all. I've reset them, uninstalled app and everything. The lights are red and according to this app they are paired up but the lights don't change colour at all, they don't turn off, it doesn't let me change anything. I don't recommend buying these until you only want lights for a week or two because thats honestly all they last.
The app is terrible. You can turn your lights on and off, also set the effect or colour. But NOT with automation. This is rather important, if you turn your lights off then back on via the app they forget the effect/colour last used. So automation is now pointless, yes you can turn them on automatically but nothing else. The fairy lights are great nice colours, nice effects. This app needs major attention ASAP.
Used to do its job, but now the singular light that I have connected just randomly disconnects, and I have to resync it to get it to work again. Widget became useless a long time ago, and the app won't let me turn the light on or off again from the main menu. I have to go into the light settings itself to do that.
I've only got the one smart switch (for now), so this is based on that. Looks like there's a good range of product though if you want to go that way. The app is pretty quick and easy to set up, with decent level of control, and can then be controlled through Google Nest/Alexa - simpler via Nest though. I'm happy with it, have no real complaints, but then again haven't had too much of a deep dive into it yet. Looks promising though.
The app was great but with updates it seems they have removed features. I had an automation that turned a lamp on at sunset, at a colour and temp, then turned off after 5 hours. I have another lamp and I can't do the same, the off after a time is not on the app any more (or maybe it was on for a time, either way it's not there now) If I try to edit the existing lamp the 5 hours is not available, I can't change this time.
Pretty basic app. The main annoying feature is that automated "programs" you set sometimes don't work properly, and when you start a new program, it doesn't cancel the previous one, meaning you get wild lighting changes you didn't want. PLEASE implement a way to cancel programs that are currently running.
Recently logged me out, and on logging back in, I've lost ALL of my scenes. This app is a sh*tshow. Slow to start, smart scenes don't have logic for if the light is already on/off, and the most recent update seems to have made the white mode selection completely unintuitive and misrepresents the colour chosen, replacing it with brown or black.
I have some lights and security cameras. they were fine for a few years, and so was the app but there must have been a recent update that just made it unusable, I can no longer check my security cameras 95% of the time and I cannot access them from a different app. I can use Alexa to control the lights so that's not an issue, but would be ideal if I could actually use my security cameras still lol Hopefully they fix it and this isn't intentional
The app has been ok, just don't buy their WiFi Pixel LED USB Powered String Lights. I've had two sets fail, and the company really just don't care. At one point they forgot to reply to me for 3MONTHS. So I've had two sets fail, but they don't know if anyone else that's had any fail.. hmm really? No offer of a voucher to keep good faith, no help at all, except to say to return them to store. I've done that once already Mirabella, sort you products and your company's customer service Not happy☹
The app does work to an extent. It seems to find devices easier when trying in manual mode. but recently tried adding the LED strip lights, and the apps "colour" section, or "scene" section wont work on this specific light. And by not work, i mean the app wont physically select those options when u press on them and gets stuck on the first page which is power and brightness. And even on the first page, its hit or miss as to whether it works. we need an update mirabella!!
