Geonection: Live GPS Tracker

Had this app for over 6 months now on both my phone and my spouse's and it keeps signing out on both devices almost every week. It's so frustrating when you just want to check-in quickly only to realize it's kicked you out of the app again. Then when go through the steps it login, you find out it's not locating for your circle. Uninstalled, will find a better app, not recommended. Also they are quite obviously boosting their rating with fake reviews, you can totally tell.

Soooooooooooooooo close to being a Life360 alternative.. please get much faster/accurate updates with speed (even make that apart of the paid option) but do not take our data... Even though it's missing some key functions and the updates need to be lore frequent, out of all the life360 alternatives out there, I can see this is the best and had the most potential. I'll with out a doubt purchase a paid version if you all get some major updates including more frequent pinging and speed monitoring.

Great app for live GPS tracking. The interface is clean and easy to understand, and location updates are accurate and smooth. Very useful for staying connected and tracking safely. Overall a reliable and well-designed app. Recommended!

Keeps sending notifications about the app running on my phone and can not shut off that notification without shutting off all notifications. very frustrating for the paid version.

Application looks simple and good and overall impression is great, GPS is accurate... However, if installed into child account (on my kids' phones), then despite all permissons and settings correctly configured, tracking doesn't work and can't see location of my kids. I really hoped this will work but unfortunately it doesn't. Other apps for such task work but wanted to use this one.

The app worked one day like it should. I had me and my wife on it and most of the time I could only track myself. Sometimes she would show up on the map sometimes not. When she did it was just her icon and it was stationary, wouldn't track her. A couple of days when using it neither of us showed up on the map. Had all permissions set to Allow and also permissions to run in background, no one could give me an answer why it was doing it.

Was looking for a Life360 alternative because it no longer does a great job with live location tracking. Geonection also stinks with live tracking. Even if you have the location permissions set to "all the time", the app fails to live track efficiently. It was common to check on a member & see them "sitting" on the highway, when in fact the app was failing to track in real time. It involved the person being tracked to open the app on their phone for it to update location to others in the circle.

I find it a bit sketchy they have 3.5k reviews and all of them are 5 star... Hard to "trial" without paying. Notifications are solid. While the app seems stable and is VERY basic - there are apps with more features included that cost less. Preference: Would prefer seeing routes taken in addition to the current pins/flags where the member stopped.

Doesn't geotrack. I have a permanent notification stuck on my home screen stating 'geolocation updating' that I can't swipe off, that never actually updates. Installed to ensure my 10 yr old is tracked and safe, but it just has him permanently located at home, where he was when the app was installed, even though he's been in several locations since installation. Useless app that doesn't do what it's designed for.

The app is not allowing me to set places and it jumps the location at night as well as gets hung up in certain locations for long periods of time. When I contacted customer service about this I got the general response as if they didn't even pay attention to what I needed and didn't seem to care either. I would not recommend and I'm going back to life360

Does not reliably show location. I thought this used GPS/SMS instead of data and wifi, but it only shows location when connected to wifi. Our entire family does not have a data plan so if we're not connected to guest wifi, it's useless. Cannot help with traffic delays, lost coming home from school etc.

Didn't like this app from the first minute, tried to cancel it immediately during free trial, no way to do that. Sent them a message and it was ignored and they charged my account. No way to get a refund or even stop paying on their end. Stuck with this app from now until eternity, only one being tracked is me.

Live location tracking is only somewhat helpful. Sometimes it won't update or send notifications for 10-15 minutes, making the live tracking pretty useless when I need it. I have all of the location settings configured as suggested on the phone as well.

Unsuscribed. 1/ history good, but Life360 no delay (contrary to Geoconection) and free. 2/ impossible to see on map if location current or past (contrary to Life360). 3/ support quite bad, can't answer most simple question, when answer at all. For history alone not worth paying. ANSWER. Yeah right, I did already and nothing happened. If you want to improve read my analysis. Bye.

Was a good app when I first installed it but now it no longer updates location's despite location sharing being allowed for all the time. O ly when one of us goes I to the app does it kick start and refresh location. Even though every 10minutes or so I get a pop up saying updating location, this update does not show for me or anyone in my circle.

This app worked good for about the first two months. After that it gives incorrect locations. It also now has just started to update location probably every 2 to 5 minutes so I keep getting silent notifications of it updating. It's not precise and not consistent. Thinking about canceling my subscription.

Please make it clear that it costs £43 per year (approx $50/year) before I risk installing it (providing email details etc). I did briefly read the app details and it wasn't clear (currently typical apps that most of us come across have one off payments of around $5 for ad free use, for life. You must be aware of this.
