It's somewhat spartan, but works well. The voice translation is very good. I've lived in Germany so I have some experience. There could be some embellishment of the definitions...when you put in just one word to get the definition(s) you get many results, but no further information. It would be nice if the nuances for each word were given & when it is most appropriate to use that particular word.
Having used the app for a little more than one year, I have found that the only negative issue I've experienced is that some translations are a bit too generic. Having studied German for a couple of semesters each in high school and college, I feel that I've learned enough of the rather difficult language to, at least, be able to determine whether or not a translation is concise or rather broad. But, that being said, it's still an excellent source for a quick translation.
The best transilation app I ever seen and I even use it to buy things in stores and I learn German with it. The only thing I want the developer to add is the sound should be slowed down to hear it properly
A good translation helper. I used to speak fluent Deutsche; however, now since I haven't needed to use the language in many years ive lost alot due to age and just plain forgetfulness. "When you dont use it, you loose it!" This App helps to remind me on words & grammar. I highly recommend it.
Best translator apps I have found. Better than Google translate. Plus these are free. Friends in Germany and Poland both say these are the most accurate translators they have experience with when I use them to communicate with them in their languages. I also use the Spanish version. I also like that I can hear what the audio translations sound like. Helping me learn the languages, too. My friend from Poland said she would check these out and may use them, too
I have been using this app for some time now, I find it very helpful because it gives very good translations. However, like everything in this world it is not perfect, and does not seem to take account for some cliches and colloquial sayings, but it is better than a lot. I enjoy using the app and it's easy to use and not too many annoying ads, hence the five stars!
It is good and helpful. But how I wish it were possible to just take a photo or scan and post to the App for an easier process because I find it tiresome clicking on twenty to twenty-five words, or thereabout, with so many alien alphabets like ä, ü and ß.
Really useful to have on hand. I am moving to Europe soon and this quenches the horrible void of anxiety a bit, knowing I have language help. Ads dont get in the way at all. Good stuff. For it. I don't know enough german to know if it is actually good on grammar but so far it is going well from where I'm standing 👌
This is a very useful Deutsch translation app. For most part of my time in Germany, it helped me to translate chats. During my interactions with non-English speaking Germans, i used the app to translate my words into Deutch and vise-versa. Its a great app for tourists in Deutschland.
I have been using this app for awhile now and working perfectly for what I need it for. I recommend this app for anyone in foreign countries outside his or her own country to use this, it will save you time, all what you need to do is typing what you have in the language given to your own language. This work excellently.
This is a great and very useful app. It translates much better than any other online translator. The voice recognition and pronunciations are great too! You could have conversations through this app. Love it!
Fast and easy to use. Has only a few mistakes when translating large texts. Doesn't work without internet connection. personally love the copy and paste function overall I'd say it's good
Absolutely amazing app. I started using it as my boyfriend is German, and although he speaks good English I thought it only fair to be able to learn and use some words in German. Tjis app is a great help with that.
Very disappointed. Speak fluent German, but use you when I could not quickly enough think of a word. You failed terribly twice! Makes me think you are not a native speaker, but a student that has yet a lot to learn. Sorry to be so harsh, but as they say in Spanish " eso es verdad"
This is a very useful app when one needs to know the German way of expressing things rather than just a literal translation from English. The verbal pronunciation guide is also very useful.
Too many ads. It's very embarrassing when your speaking with a German native and these annoying ad commercials pop up with music playing and you have to wait 5 seconds before you can close it. In real time, speed of translation matters. Un-installed. I'll try to find another.
I've been using this for years and I love it. The only annoying thing is that when it translates from English to German - it would be good to have the option of choosing the formal or the informal ("Du" or "Sie").
It has helped immensely with my German language studies. I use it as a check for sentences that run through my mind, to make sure that it is at least correct, until I have more confidence in using it
We moved to Switzerland and without this app I'd be lost in the supermarket. I'm learning German but some ingredients need translation, which is where the app comes in super handy.
The best transilation app I ever seen and I even use it to buy things in stores and I learn German with it. The only thing I want the developer to add is the sound should be slowed down to hear it properly
