Pattern Elements: The Growing Rush

The core mechanic revolves around growing a character by collecting figures of a specific color, creating a visual pattern of increasing size. Avoiding obstacles and different colored figures disrupts this growth, impacting the gameplay rhythm.

  • Flow Pattern: Consistent growth creates a satisfying flow.
  • Tempo Elements: Obstacle density dictates the level's tempo, increasing challenge.
  • Beat Features: Collecting figures provides a rhythmic beat, broken by collisions.
  • Rhythm Aspects: Color choices affect rhythmic growth.
  • Movement Points: Character movement and obstacle avoidance.
  • Overall Rhythmic Value: Good, due to clear visual and growth patterns.

Flow Features: Obstacle Navigation

The game's flow is primarily dictated by obstacle placement and character maneuverability. Successfully navigating these obstacles maintains momentum, while failure disrupts the flow.

  • Smooth movement
  • Responsive controls
  • Sudden difficulty spikes
  • Repetitive obstacle design

Tempo Aspects: Speed and Challenge

The tempo of each level varies, influencing player reaction time and decision-making. Faster levels demand quicker reflexes, while slower levels allow for strategic planning.

Dynamic Difficulty

The game adjusts difficulty based on player performance, creating varied tempo.

Beat Points: Combat Encounters

Combat encounters serve as beat points, interrupting the flow of the level. These moments require strategic decision-making and quick reflexes, adding a layer of intensity.

  1. Enemy Variety
  2. Boss Patterns
  3. Weapon Power-ups

Rhythm Moments: Color Collection

The game's central rhythm is defined by collecting characters of a specific color. This mechanic creates a consistent beat, rewarding players for maintaining focus and precision. Collecting the correct color creates positive feedback. Collecting the wrong color creates negative feedback and alters the rhythm.

Feature Description
Color Collection Collecting matching colored characters increases character size.
Obstacle Avoidance Avoiding obstacles maintains the game's pace and rhythm.
Final Thoughts

The game presents an engaging rhythm experience, though improvements can be made to obstacle variety and difficulty balancing to improve tempo. However, the core mechanic of color collection and character growth establishes a solid rhythmic foundation. The flow is periodically disrupted by combat which could use refinement.

One of the rare games that I give a good rating. The ads are piled up and jampacked as per usual, (no suprise there) the gameplay was interesting but repetitive. I like how there's bosses added to the game, the boss mechanics are a little too easy, but fun nonetheless. And also traps add the challenge that the game needed, which made it fun, despite being simplistic, but I feared that the levels would've repeated as time goes on.

Doesn't comply with Google Play Pass (Full screen ad every launch for a subscription). There's a symbol and note on the Play Store entry that no ads or In App purchases as it's part of the Google Play Pass. Upon loading the app, it shows a full screen ad for their VIP subscription that will charge actual money. I'm not sure how this was overlooked but beware if you have children downloading it thinking there's no real world micro transactions because of the Google Play Pass badge.

It's okay but despite being a Play Pass subscriber it still tries to sell you on its premium option. You can decline and still get no ads but haven't seen a sell on any other Play Pass game like this before. I thought Play Pass was always supposed to be 100% free no upsell.
