I like that it saves previous orders, and that my most ordered items appear near the top. ordering is easy and intuitive. my biggest complaint is that I will get texts that items from my order aren't available, but when I go into the app I can't see which items weren't available. it will show the status and the items are tiny images with no indication what's missing. this is extremely frustrating because I build my list in the app so I don't even know what's missing. aggravating

This app has so many issues. If I could give negative stars, I would. Coupons don't load properly to items in the app, can't choose a substitute you actually want, credit card and bank account checkout method does not work in the app, can't report an issue with your pickup in the app. Can only order through the website... so what's the point of having an app when it doesn't even work. Who are these developers?! DO BETTER!

Constant glitches, freezing, crashes. Changed the date of my pick up twice, no notification. I've changed my name but for whatever reason will not update it in the app and because of that my orders are under the wrong name. There are issues with coupons, discounts, bonus points that I never receive.

Updated to 1 star. Their app developer should be fired. I haven't been able to checkout on the app for about 2 months. Everytime I try to checkout and select payment, it takes me back to my cart. I can't ever checkout on the app. Updated from 2 star to 3 because the issue below with the Peabody login constantly appearing is finally fixed. However a new issue started today. I now get an error every time I search for something. And I can't get past the error to continue my shopping! Ugh!

Update: It has now been almost a month and I'm still having the same problem. The issue hasn't been fixed. I have been using this app for over a year and never had a problem until a week ago. When I try to checkout using delivery, I get a message saying that the time slot is unavailable no matter which slot I choose. I haven't been able to get a delivery for 4 days. I called customer care the last 3 days and they keep telling me IT is working on it and don't know when it will be resolved.

This app has always had ongoing issues. Giant Direct cannot be any less user friendly. I'm fine with paperless receipts until they don't send them in time to know what they were out of. Nothing like having to go through your bags in the parking lot to see what is missing, to stop somewhere else on the way home to get it...like toilet paper!!! Either hire more people to keep up or fix your software to keep up!!!

The app worked great until the last update. I can shop, clip coupons, etc., but I cannot check out. The app just crashes every time I hit the checkout button. Customer Service put my order through, but I can't update it with additional items. Like before, it just shuts down. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, cleared the cache and restarted my phone. Still doesn't work! If I can't put in an order, then the app is useless! No option for zero stars, so it gets just one.

Worst app ever! If I could give less than one star, I would. The app constantly freezes, I can't access my shopping list, it constantly closes while I'm in it, it's not user- friendly, the back button doesn't work properly meaning it doesn't take you back to where you were... instead, it takes you back to the beginning, etc. New developers are needed ASAP!

This app is almost useless. Digital coupons that appear in the weekly circular don't show up in the app so there is no way to get the discount. The filters sometimes are available and sometimes not. You end up scrolling through all the digital coupons just to not find the coupon you are looking for. Giant needs to fix this because sometimes the digital coupons are the only reason we choose to shop at Giant.

Session has expired. I've had this app for less than 30 minutes. Logged in, searched for an item, added it to my shopping list. Closed the app, did something else. Came back to check what the price of item was. App keeps telling me "your session has expired". Won't let me do anything. Can't log in again, can't search for items, nothing. Keeps alerting me to expired session and is otherwise unusable.

The app has improved greatly. I used to have trouble with it all the time, but have had no problem with it for quite some time. The app can be used to shop for delivery,but I've never used it, so am not sure exactly how it works. I started to change my order over to delivery but noticed that the item prices jumped, e.g. chicken tenders changed from 7.99 a bag to 9.21. Definitely not an option for me.

In the latest installation whenever I open the Giant app, it opens to PeaPod with no way to exit. When I close the app, I have exit at least four more times before the Giant app actually appears. If I want PeaPod then I'll put it on my phone, but I don't. Please fix this. Once I'm in there's no problem. I could rate it higher if that didn't keep happening.

I hate this app. I go to Giant because I like all the coupons and sales that they have. Recently though, they haven't had many good coupons on the app, and they don't have the monthly "free-day" anymore. The past few times that I have been there, the app hasn't scanned and I miss out on ALL coupons and sales and pay full price for everything. This makes me really irritated. I will be shopping at Weis instead because they at least have an app that works.

It was confusing that I needed to change from "delivery" option to "in store" the first time I ever opened the app. Often the catalog will say, "with digital coupon" but then the digital coupon is no where to be found. Coupons seem to be different depending on the person and whether you are on the Giant WiFi or not. It feels like a big scam, saying the coupon is available on the app but then the app is too confusing and the coupon isn't even there. Edit Today the coupons are not available at all

Every time I open the app after a few days go by, it opens the page to log into Peapod. I don't have a Peapod account, nor do I want one. There is no exiting out of that page to get back to the actual Giant app. I've had to uninstall the app, reinstall it, and then log back in, only to have it happen again a few days later. It's absolutely useless if I can't actually access the app that I wanted to use.

I have never felt so compelled to write a review on an app. This app is terrible. I've used it for about 3 years now because the convenience of having groceries delivered outweighs the inconvenience of the app . However, the app force closes 5-12 time per session, each session, consistently. So you lose your place each time you're searching through your past orders.

I love the convenience of shopping online, but this app is the absolute worst. It constantly freezes or stops, and the only way to get back to where I need to be is to restart my entire phone. I have to go through that at least 5 times EVERY TIME I try to place an order. By the time I deal with all that and finally finish my order, I've lost the pickup time I wanted. So frustrating!

This app serves its purpose for the most part but for the last two weeks, the digital coupons in the weekly ad are NOT showing up in the coupons section of the app. So I'm not getting the deals that they are advertising and the only way to even get the deal is to pay for it upfront and have customer service give you the money back afterwards. Really frustrating since these are not printed coupons so there's no other way to use them. Please fix this ASAP!!

Terrible App! Constantly freezes, you have to sign in and out just to get this app to respond. For a company the size of Giant and other names stores, their app that you use to order your pickup order, is about as bad as I've ever seen. It doesn't matter if you complain it doesn't change. It takes me an extra hour every week just to get an order placed. That's no exaggeration!

This app is not user-friendly. Takes forever to load, doesn't keep track of points earned. When ordering for pickup, it's very difficult to find the order I just purchased. I'll get a notification for substitutions and get directed to the main page of the app instead of sending me to the substitutions. Can't even locate where the substitutions are. Ordering for pickup is really convenient, but this process is so inconvenient.
