GIO: AI Headshot Generator

The creation of my AI photo took forever. When I attempted to use a different photo, even though the app stated that my first was looked good, it still took forever to generate. I am still waiting as I type this review, and it's been 5+ minutes. Also, when I checked my first photo, the "suit" you applied looked so tacky, baggy, and looked like it was drawn on. It's really poor quality for an app that requires you to 7.99 just to see what you're getting into. I definitely want my money back.

It does great shots, but it is deceptive. After you pay the initial fee for a year, you can only do 2 photo sessions of 3 shots per week (6 photos total), and it does not accumulate. If you don't use the weekly ones, you loose that week's shots. If you want to do more, you have to pay $10 for 10 more ahots for that week. I like the work, but it is limited and the company does not value customers, as they already paid for the year. I would not have purchased the subscription if I had known this!

This app is deceptive. I purchased the yearly subscription b/c it was $20 ok cool. We all have to make money. However what wasn't explained is that you only get 2-3 photos per week or you are prompted to purchase more. If you don't use your allotted photo creation that week you lose them. I've only been able to do 2 videos and since then I've been prompted to pay for more videos. Absolutely Not! 2 stars because the quality of the pictures generated are pretty good. Find another app.

It did a really good job of turning my photos into a professional looking headshot. Unfortunately after making two headshots I received a message that I had reached my limit and could come back in 7 days. I find that pathetic. A limit of two headshots per week was definitely not spelled out when I was purchasing the app. I would have awarded one star had the headshot not looked as good as it does.

It worked initially, then, when I returned it wouldn't load any prior pics in the library. it also didn't recognize me as the user even after logging in again. Tried to do a photoshoot, or a single, and the message just keeps saying, "something went wrong". I've paid for a set and now I would like my money back since it seems I can't use what I paid for.

the idea behind the app is actually really cool so I signed up for their weekly program just to give it a shot and they only let you do two photo shoots and of those two photo shoots you might end up with one picture that looks really good and you don't get a chance to explore the other options because you can only choose two. most of the pictures will make you look significantly heavier

No free trial (unlike most other AI Apps). You pay 5.99 for a week, which I did, but then after 2 videos and 1 photo shoot, I maxed out. you have to pay to make more. So make sure you pick the "right" photo because you dont get unlimited or a high limit of tries. not worth it to me. To each their own.

I have not been able to use this app for several months now. I followed the "help" prompts and nothing. I continue getting error "something went wrong". I've continued freeing up space on my phone continues freezing and not working. unfortunately I paid for pro and found this to be a waste of money. I gave at least two stars because when it worked, I loved it.

Doesn't Work. I paid for this app and it seems like the photo shoots I want to use don't work at all. I click on them, they react to my click, but they never open. I opened a customer service ticket, let's see if I ever hear back from an actual person. Some of the shoots work but I don't exactly want a horror scene for my LinkedIn. The actual options aren't great either. Mostly just high glamour or business suits. I wish I hadn't purchased this.

I had this app for months. I used it the day I subscribed and paid for a year, then when I reached the "limit" of photos/videos, I had to wait (after you make 1 or perhaps 2 image to video, you have to wait a whole week or of course you can buy more "processing power" for another $20, but even that will only give you some more videos before you have to pay more).Then, after a month of waiting, when I remembered I actually have this app, I tried again, yet I still can't make any more. Waste of $

This app is a total letdown. I was charged for a photoshoot, but it failed with a 'Something went wrong' message. I even paid for an extra pack thinking it would fix the issue, but it just took my money again without delivering. The AI attire feature is also way behind competitors like ChatGPT and Gemini. Save your money—this app is broken and overpriced.

This app will rip you off! I highly DONT recommend it. It says you can only make 30 photos per week. On my first day of joining, I did two photos series. One that had 4 TERRIBLE pictures, didn't even look like me. The other series had 16. That's only 20 photos, but everyday I kept getting notice that I reached my limit of 30 per week?! I emailed customer support & the response said that you only get 20 pics per day & that it will reset itself within 24 hours. It has not. Their support team lies.

don't buy, you're restricted to 7 shots but each generates 3 so basically I got 2 shoots and a video then I have to pay more money. Also one of my shots I have 3 arms. The video sucked it was basically my still photo and the camera moves a little bit. out of the 7 it generated only 1 good pic. Now I have to wait a week to see if maybe it generates another good pic. Misleading/scam

Don't waste your time or money. The app is buggy and unreliable. Fortunately, I only paid by the week, rather than the year. Only 2 pics out of the "photo shoot" were usable and after a few days, I wasn't even able to to access those, even though I had paid for them and was still paying for premium access. I reached out to customer support twice & the only response I received was the auto-reply, saying they would get back to me "shortly." Ten days later and nothing. This is not an app you want.

Crops face into unnatural visuals. I couldn't find a try before you buy so I subscribed and was promptly disappointed with the results. I was hoping to get photo studio enhancements to existing pictures, not have my head cropped into a scene. The frequent outline and lack of detail edge transitions resulted in obviously generated images. I'd compare it to how some people would photoshop their teeth to pure white many years ago. This is the AI form of that. A bit over the top but has potential.

Doesn't match the ad at all. Very small selection of styles. And the processing is very strange. There is no option to choose, you get everything absolutely randomly and unexpectedly. Maybe for entertainment it is not bad, but as for work I am very disappointed. Well, and the most unimportant. It is written at the beginning that you can unsubscribe at any time, but in fact, you still need to be able to do it. I am waiting for a response from support

I want a REFUND NOW! I just signed up today, I should have read the reviews first. The app advertisements are very misleading. They never spell it out in black & white upfront that once you purchase, you have limited access, everything that you see initially that entices you to purchase, you don't have access to all those features unless you continue to spend money as well there is a limit on how many times you can create, they don't say what the limit is their scamming. Very disappointed.

This app is extremely costly! I purchased an annual subscription, but what they don't tell you is that eventually you'll end up paying for everything you want to do. The few seconds of video clips cost $1 each after they allow you one clip with the subscription. The photos also cost extra when you reach a certain limit. I made just 5 photos and they want additional money for more photos. This is my second day of membership and already they are asking for more money. This app sucks!

I gave this app a try and was really disappointed. The photos looked unnatural and over-processed — definitely not what I expected. What’s worse is that even after paying $7 per week, you’re still limited to just 4 "photo shoots." That’s extremely restrictive considering the price. There are much better apps out there that offer more flexibility and far superior results for a lower cost. I wouldn’t recommend it.

AI has no idea what a pixie cut looks like - there's no long hair in the back for a ponytail. messages popped up saying it was choosing the best background and style while generating; but nothing changed. once I figured out how to change things, I was pretty happy with the results and now have a few additional options for different social media accounts and my website.
