Probably the worst service I ever used. Tried to watch Carnival Feb 10, it played for 5 seconds and the image would freeze with the waiting icon. After a minute an ad would play just fine, in English. The show would resume, played another 5-10s, and it would repeat. I gave it a 10 min opportunity to fix itself. After that I went to watch a movie on a different service. Cancelling and not planning to return anytime soon. I read some of the reviews and decided to try when they had a promotion.
I had a very disappointing experience with Globo. I paid for 2 months, yet was unable to access any shows, even though I was signed in and clearly could see that I should be able to watch!! I emailed their customer support at least 4 times, they didn't bother to ever respond. I am out nearly 30 dollars and my time being frustrated and disappointed. I was really looking forward to working on my Português. They have horrible customer service. No phone number, and they don't respond to emails.
The 7 day free trial worths just to confirm how bad the app is. I really wanted to watch all the content specially from gnt, but the app crashes all the time, if you download the episodes it works but still crashes sometimes. For $14/month I would expect something better. Also some series you don't have access to the latest episodes. It also doesn't allow you to watch and use the phone at the sabe time, the picture and picture feature would help.
I am disappointed with lack of features on the T.V. it keeps kicking me out and doesn't allow for scrolling through episodes.
Just changed my review from 2 stars to 1. The app has a whole lot of ads, even the paid version. Globo says that only "free content" has ads but I don't see why that's impacting how subscribers experience the app. The app also crashes a lot and several contents never open and give a "connection error" both on the app and online (website). The service is pricey for what it delivers. I really hope they are working hard to improve the experience because right now it really isn't quite there yet.
I have been trying to subscribe to be able to access a few shows and Brazilian volleyball through the sport tv channels. Impossible to do it from the app, which is the only way to subscribe in Europe. After reading so many bad reviews I have changed my mind. Overpriced for what it is. It costs as much as Netflix but the service is not up to par. How can you launch an app in a foreign country without even offering subtitles in the countrie's language?? Thanks but no thanks.
I'm Portuguese living in UK. I wanted to rewatch and show to friends some of the best Globo content. Everything seemed to be ok until I realised there's no subtitle options. I believe that's a major issue for a stream app in 2022. Positives: - loads of content - seems to be working fine, for the short time I used it, didn't find any issue. Negatives: - Lack of any type of subtitles or dub voice work - Almost £10 a month? Disney + is £8...
Live streaming for Globo doesn't work and keeps sending a message saying it's for subscribers only, even though I am an automatic payments subscriber. Their support takes too long to answer when I need them, and I'm always let down for a long period until they resolve the issue, which 99.9% of the time is theirs. They charge the subscription as if they were Netflix, but Netflix always works without problems, and Globoplay doesn't work decently in any device, extremely bad service.
Disappointing. Performed the checkout process 3 times with different cards and none worked. Created another account. The subscription currency changed (?), but this time the payment worked. But then, the subscription didn't activate. The app doesn't have a support button. Contacted support through Facebook and their solution was to wait 4 days to cancel my subscription due to non-usage and retry. My subscription was canceled, in fact, but the reimbursement didn't arrive yet. Never again.
we like watching Jornal Nacional a little later every day, but for whatever reason it is happening more and more that they are not making it available, sometimes for days. And today's edition (07/28/25) it's cut halfway through. After the presenters call for what they are going to talk about after the commercials, and it ends there. This is happening a lot lately with Jornal Nacional and Jornal Hoje
Piece of garbage. Does not work. Can't use Display Mirror, can't connect with Fire TV. When connected through display mirror, only sound of the video goes to the TV, no image at all once video starts playing. Shame! I'm paying U$14 /month for nothing. Customer service is bad, they have no idea what they are doing . Don't waste your time or your money.
The image is blurry and when we click in some functions it comes a message that is not compatible with the Android's version. Mine is an Android 22 and it was working fine until yesterday. Also, because all the adds ,now the screen freezes and takes forever to open or I need to go to another channel and then come back to get the screen to work after.more adds.. Please check these glitches. Thanks
No subtitles, nor available with sound in another language other than Portugués. Unfortunately, I don't speak or understand enough to be able to watch something without at least subtitles. Hopefully this changes in the future and is open for people that speak other languages. Very disappointed about this as there are Brazilian soap operas showing in many countries with subtitles or in the native language of the country it is being showed, like Spanish for example.
Literally the worst play-on-demand app currently available. How can something so bad go into production? A core feature of the app, of any app, the account login and plan subscription verification, just doesn't work! You pay for a service and just can't use it because the app incorrectly identifies the account's plan and prevents you from using that service. Normally you'd expect that such a defect would have its fix prioritized, but alas, the issue persists for MONTHS. Congrats Globo.
We are so frustrating with Globoplay. It has been month that we can not access it. It shows we are logged in but yet we can not play anything. We get a message saying our account is not associated with our DISH or SLING. We have both accounts working just fine. On top we can not get any help from Globoplay. Do we cancel it. And it does not allow us to sign up under a different email account. Is anyone out there from GLOPLAY to help. The online atendimento does not work either, it keeps spinning.
I have a subscription and for over 1 week I have not been able to access the app at all. Cannot reach anybody from Globoplay to help me with the issue. So I am paying for a service I cannot use and nobody to help. Went on their page on facebook and they were answering other people's complaints but ignored my msg. It is a shame, I enjoyed watching the shows when it worked. You can't expect people to pay for a service they can't use or get help fixing issues.
There's problems with the app: it stopped loading the contents when I start the app from my Roku TV (it just keeps spinning and nothing comes up). When I use the app on my cellphone, it plays for a while then it dumps the show saying that the content is not available for viewing (I restart the show and then it runs for a while before dumping it again). This is all very frustrating when you're a paying customer...
Signed up during Olympics and they charged me more than the advertised and it's so hard to cancel! Can't cancel on the app and it says to cancel straight on Google play app BUT also doesn't have an option and it keeps charging me! Won't ever recommend to anyone and will share my experience.
Signed up. It worked for about a week then my account was blocked for some reason. Been like that 2 weeks now and was asked to send my ID and other documentation. And even after doing that still have nothing. When chatting they just keep saying to give another 24 hours.

Update: 07/26 After contacting technical support, they have fixed the issue. It seems that changing from a signature via an operator vs. signature directly via Google Play, caused the issue. I am improving the review, based on the fast response and fix from customer support. Awful app. If I could I would give 0 stars!! I am already an assistant, but the app keeps asking me to start a new start a new account. Simply dreadful!
