Loved app when it was ad free. Ads are mixed in with emails which I'm not fond of at all. I know Facebook exists but I don't like being tricked into going there by accidentally hitting the ad. If I want to go there (which I don't) I can go to the site myself. Otherwise is a decent simple app. Haven't used all the features (organizer, etc.) but am slowly trying them out.
Totally sucks. Im stuck with it for now. Emails don't make it. Go to spam a lot. Attachments dissappear. No spell check. I switched from Metro pcs to xfinity and now the gmx app won't work on my phone. Customer service is a waste of time. I regret getting it. Problem is that it's a business email. Many clients have it. Hard to make a change now.
I used to like this app very much. But recently it was very slow syncing data. I was told to reinstall it which I did. However, not much change and also now no matter the size of the attachment, it will not send the email!! Also if you lose your phone# virtually impossible to reset password!!! Didn't think it could get any worse but it did!! Worked fine in the morning but by afternoon instead of sending emails - went to trash folder. Then sent email to myself and new email NOT in inbox!!!
this was my go-to email app until the most recent update. now when opening the app, it asks me to login again for account security, and once i do, it redirects me to the gmx homepage. in order to get to my inbox, i have to log in a second time. once i do, no images within emails are displayed and there is no option to display external content. really hoping the team fixes this so that i don't have to switch email servers!
Awful app, worked for a while and now just stopped. I have to go through 3 screens retyping my password and info over and over again and after the third time, it simply says you logged out successfully. Well that's definitely not what I wanted!!! I can't get in anymore, so please fix the issue ASAP!!! Uninstalled and reinstalled the app again without success, not solving the problem.
I have used this for a number of years. This morning I noticed it has not synced for 4 days. I hit the sync button and my app disappeared. LITERALLY DISAPPEARED FROM MY PHONE!!! I cannot get it back. All I am finding is a cloud app. It is NOT what I had. This new cloud thing is NOT an icon on my phone. I can NOT click to view emails. I can NOT view my folders. I will never NEVER recommend ANY app of any kind that just disappears. I would give this a MINUS TEN if possible.
I used to like this app a lot, I was able to sync all my different GMX accounts for email in one app. Then they added ads to it out of nowhere. Now you can't even see anything on the screen cuz the ads are so big that takes up what you need to do to enter information like login and password. and now it says my passwords are invalid which I didn't change anything and even if I put the right password in it takes me outside of the app and sends me to a website not in any of the browsers I use.
The best email provider I've ever used by far. No weird fancy stuff that has absolutely no purpose, just an amazing email provider that does what it's supposed to do: gives you access to your email and allows you to attach files and send emails. Honestly, I don't have time for tricks and annoying ads which is more visible on every other provider I've tried. Keep up the great work!!!
This is absolutely the worst email app I have ever used. I have never changed my password. Today it has taken me an hour with no helpful resources to get logged in. I still cannot access my account. I am constantly running into a German page that I cannot translate. Two tickets sent in. The app constantly takes me in an endless loop that says I have logged out. How people are giving this app a high rating is beyond me!!!
I've had emails w GMX for years.All of a sudden, I can't get into them.It's the same experience that everyone else is complaining about. I've messaged support. They are worthless as they send you an email saying to go to their help center. I already did that & all of the suggestions there were unsuccessful. Having an email that is unaccessible is a horrible circumstance. Oftentimes, without a functioning email that you used to sign up for an app, you cannot get into the app. Its ridiculous!!!!
Used to love the GMX Android app. Due to a programming flaw, which asks me to activate the smart inbox feature, I have to click on the inbox every time I open the app. (Can't activate smart inbox on the Android platform, and the web based version doesn't mention anything about a smart inbox.) When I emailed the company about this, the email was returned as undeliverable.
Usually I have no problems with this. I've used it for a long time. But today it's not showing emails. I see a preview in the notification but when I go to the app and open an email, it shows nothing. I can't read my emails and I kind of need to because I've put in job applications. One was a response but I can't read it in the app and the notification preview didn't show me enough of it to know what it said. Please fix this
Hi I enjoy it, the search is faster, but atm I still can't send to certain emails. Maybe their security has your domain blocked? I have a new idea, auto unsubscribe! I get dozens of emails per day from unwanted subscriptions and I can't open and unsubscribe all of them. Maybe I can just select them in my inbox and click "unsubscribe"... You might need an AI agent but for some emails you could just parse the email and look for "unsubscribe" and open a window at that link. I'd be really thankful
New UI is terrible. I really liked the old app but after two weeks with the new email sorting functionality I am seriously thinking about closing the account and moving to Gmail. important E-Mails are classified as Newsletters and do not appear in the main inbox. hope they change it back quickly!
Last changes implementing a more modern interface definitely raised the usability. Now i use the app more often in parallel to my standard mail client (the one with the blue bird)
up until now it's been a brilliant app. now it's been blocked and I can not retrieve important emails that I need to print. I've asked them to return my requests to unblock my account. but as of yet no reply received.
Seems pretty decent to me. Web interface could be a bit better though, paging through emails gets a bit tedious.
Great email client. even has support if you have a problem. my only issue is appears not to have a soell checker. if it has I don't see how to turn it on. otherwise perfect has extras like calendar and cloud storage free
I've just discovered this new email, it was easy to set up, plenty of space, im excited to start using. I will definitely recommend this to friends and colleagues. 😀
I wanted to use an European alternative to gmail. I created an account in browser on my phone and then from the automatic mail that I got I downloaded the app and logged in only to receive this :Dear GMX member, our system has detected irregular activity related to your account. As a precautionary measure, we have blocked your account. To regain access, please contact our Customer Support. The support is just a FAQ page that offers no help to recover my account. This is why EU can't win!
