Times are hard and they're the worst when it comes to overdraft protection and overdraft fees. Even if you manage to put your account balance back to + balance, they'll still charge you $15 fee for each "pending" transaction that was already done prior. The only good thing about it, is being able to receive your paycheck early. Otherwise they're horrible and so is their customer service. Very nonchalant and non negotiable. Waiting to close my account with them after I get my next paycheck!
was a great app been using it for years, but now sense the new update, just like everyone else, I get a login error that says we cannot process your request at this time. this has been a on going issue. I have installed and reinstalled. I have made sure it was updated. I have called but no one wants to help. seems like in the reviews allot ppl was having this issue. I hate that there going to lose so many customers when they used to do such a great job. but I'm just tired of it not working.
Tap to pay doesn't even work for this card half of the time, especially not at grocery stores for whatever reason. Purchases CONSTANTLY pending for 5+ days, leading to possible overdraft. Would also make sense if you actually put the TIMESTAMP for purchases. I pay for something on the 24th it shows I paid for it 3 days later. Makes zero sense, and it makes it THAT much harder to properly keep track of funds. Notifications almost NEVER accurate when it comes to balance. CONSTANT FEES.
DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS CARD SERVICE!! First of all, They charge you a monthly fee, even if the card has not been used and the when you try canceling your card for this exact reason, they tell you that you have to pay all their monthly fees (which add up very quickly) before you can cancel the card. Lol. So you cant use the card without paying the fees, you cant cancel the card without paying their ridiculous fees, like things are not hard enough in today's world!
This bank account was at one time a great one to use. I had no issues at first but now it seems as though there is a problem every time I get a large deposit (every three months) . The problems have ranged from unauthorized purchases , charges posting more than once on my account, lost cards being delivered etc. I'm tired of having to worry of my money is safe and my bank is trust worthy. I'm sick of filing for disputes and losing money I have to track down to find and get back . Unacceptable!
There is a monthly "maintenance fee" of $5 that was never disclosed to me. And even though they alert you about every transaction, I was never alerted that the $5 was coming out each month, and so it overdrafted.. again, I was not notified that it was overdrawn. I checked the app to see how much was left on the card, and that was how I found out.
When I first got the account it was good. I found a service that was closer to my needs and moved my paycheck there. Recently I decided to split up my pay and Go2bank was one of the accounts I sent money to. Suddenly, even though the account was finally in the positive and was active, they flagged my account as suspicious and locked it. I checked on it after the lock and found they decided to permanently close the account, only allowing me to withdraw the remaining balance. I do not recommend.
The app has been working perfectly find for a couple years of then suddenly something "mysterious" went wrong. The app no longer allows me to log in. I've uninstalled it & reinstalled with no new results. I can't log in through the website either. I contacted customer service 3 times. No one can or won't provide an explanation. No one bothers to call me back after they say they will. All I got was a ticket number & a reassurance that it's being "reviewed". I'll be closing my account ASAP
There is a $5 "monthly maintenance fee" for whatever reason and it doesn't matter if you are even using your account! Password requirements are weak and there is no 2FA security. Card does not have NFC (Tap to pay). I like that they give you a virtual card right away while you wait for your debit card in the mail but that is the only good thing I can say. Cash deposit fees are high along with ATM fees. All in all this is a 1 star bank and there are a lot of better options out there, avoid!!
I only installed this app to leave a review for anyone considering this card, and as soon as I click Post, I'm deleting it. I'm being charged a $5 fee every month even though I've never used the card even once. I can't find a way to close my account, and it doesn't give you the option to email customer service. The only 2 options are to call and wait forever to speak to an actual live person, or to mail them a letter. Yes, snail mail in 2021. U can keep your damn card.
Very easy to navigate for information pertaining to your account. So many options to find just what you're looking for. Sd far as balance, transactions, locking and unlocking your Go2card, so your in control. Also has your credit card balance. Your 360 card account balance. You also have free access to your FICO score and more with Experian. So yes you don't need more than this app, to check in on your mobile banking with Green dot Go2 banking. Oh yeah. One more thing, they're FDIC insured.
I've had an account with Go2B for quite a while, but never had really used it much. now that I use it regularly I find it too be as awesome as I originally thought. easy to use, lots of options from Overdraft protection to secured Credit Cards for less than perfect FICO scores. BEST of all is the APR on simple basic savings (vaults) look around... you won't beat it.
It was better under greendot. I use to be able to "peek" at my balance or a quick check with a text. Now the only way is to log in. You can no longer have a card for yourself and a card for your partner on the same account, but you can pay fee's for two accounts... Which isn't actually a solution and so you have to carry cash. My advice? Find something else. Just like banks they are moving away from customer service and towards profits.
ETA: updating my review. This bank is extremely frustrating with pending charges. Pending charges don't show up on your account, or shoe briefly, so you never know what transactions haven't completely gone through without looking through every single transaction. Very frustrating when you have made multiple purchases and there is no record in your account. Pending holds also drop pretty quickly, this is easily one of the best banks I have dealt with.
I've never been hung up on so many times in my life. I've done everything correct to receive my reward for the refer a friend. I get on the phone with you guys around 8:00 and get hung up on every 45 minutes my problem has been escalated numerous times. They love to transfer me and hang up and the most recent one she couldn't hear. At this point it doesn't even matter about the $50 it's about how you guys continuously lie!!!!!!!!!!!
I just opened an account and got my card. I activated it over the phone and downloaded the apps latest version. It lets me log in but Everytime I try to add money by cashing a check, it says I have to activate my card and then when I try, it won't scan or even do it manually put in. Totally frustrated! Tried contacting on chat and that's a complete waste of time. No one responds. Called to make sure my card was activated since it said it wasn't and it was. Too many glitches!
No notifications in the current version of the App. They also sent me 2 cards. And I activated the first one I received. But it wasn't linked to the card I bought in 7-11. So they had to send me another one. No customer support in the US. Kids, chickens, and cars can be heard in the background of all their oversees phone support people. And they charge you for everything. It takes 10 days to receive money from a deposited check using the app. Having this card for 1 week has been a nightmare.
I had an account with this company at one point. Apparently because I moved, changed my email or phone number (I can't tell you which because I could not get a straight answer) I failed verification checks (with a valid ID even) and they can't open an account for me. Well in the list of verification checks I was given, they said they couldn't verify from an external source. Well they never asked the questions that they would need to in order to use an external source. -5 stars if I had my way
I love GO2bank! 😊 The Mobile app is wonderful and works great, The only problem I have is the customer service is lacking unfortunately and sadly, AND it's hard to transfer money out of the account as well which I never understood. That's the reason for the four stars, this bank is literally almost perfectly! Once those two things are fixed and better, this bank will literally be PERFECT! Other than those issues, this bank is amazing and I've been a customer for years!
Been trying to log in to my account on the mobile app but it won't let me. Requested for verification code it never shows up in my email. Did everything they said to do. Check/adjust email settings accordingly to receive code, also checked and re-checked my spam and junk folders but nothing there. Uninstall and reinstall the app. Requested for password change, no email sent to me for log in. And they always come back with the "We're sorry, blablabla" and never fix anything I'm lost for words...
