GOAL - Football News & Scores

This used to be a good enough app to get news, scores, and schedules. Now they have ads as soon as you open the app. Very annoying, especially when the ads are deafening. Also news and scores completely fail to load more often than not despite a perfect internet connection. Damn shame. I guess i need a different app if I even want to see game schedules or scores.

Most of the news articles, opinions and rumours are paid off ones, biased, targeted and make no sense. You guys better get your act right before it's too late as I've myself asked everyone in my circle to delete this app and follow other channels.

it's not real time..too slow n laggy...it updates scores almost 90 seconds after other app has shown it

About a year ago I gave this app 5/5. The ads were present but not "in-your-face". For a few months now, the ads have been popping up insistently with every other page that opens, and if my media sound isn't turned down, the add - usually involves some audio piece - blasts on until I tend to it. I'm here looking for a paid version, but even that isn't possible. Could there be more money in ads than in paid subscriptions? 🤔 Help me enjoy this app like before Goal!

The new version doesn't show player stats anymore. Even if it's there (which I don't think so) the user experience is poor. The news update is good but it would be better if the old features where we can check player stats is back. I normally search for teams or the league and check top scorer, assist and so on but these features are missing. Please bring them back. Thank you.

I liked this app so much. It was one of my favorite apps but in their recent update, you don't have the option to set the cookies you want to allow and those you want to block. With the UI in the consent section, you can't even know which ones have been allowefld. They share your data with other sites by default and there's no option to change that. A very cheap way of making money at the expense of users' privacies.

Amazing and helpful it discovered trends about football games

I deleted this app about a year ago, because there was a couple ads that as soon as they popped up, it took me to a translator service. Always thought nothing of it, a week later id see on my phone bill a £10 charge literally because this ad had opened up. Have tried to get into contact with the makers of this app because all in all it cost me £50 because i loved the app and always forgot about that add. They owe me £50 from a free ad pop up!!!!!!

The app experience is terrible since the latest update. Before we could check on a player's profile directly from the line up but now it isn't allowing us to do so. Even the appearance looks terrible and not at all user friendly. Edit-I still can't see which all teams a player has played for in their career. Prior to the update in the past we could see a player's previous team and how many goals he scored. Kindly bring back the player stats. Unfortunately my rating still remains the same.

At the current moment I would only give 1 star, but it use to be decent... you have to watch adds, some 30 second commercials just to open the app! Crazy, just to get in the app, your stuck for 30 seconds and then every article you open is another add. Their writers are basis to specific players, but everyone knows it, so take it as it is. Used to be awesome and a great app to get football news, but has declined to a 1 star app recently! Find another news outlet app, or you'll be disappointed.

Could have been a lot better. Both pc and mobile app slow and login errors.

Great football news app, but not so great at livescores. User experience is below average and it is quite difficult to navigate. Also, you guys keep giving me content from 🇺🇸 national teams, and I really don't care much about that. I didn't also add them to my favourites, so why bug me with that? Please fix.

Before the update was way better. Could see the stats of the player and could view the squads of the teams as well. Now you cant do none of these anymore. Ive been using this app for years and their updates usually were good always went upwards but this update is more like a down grade. Quite disappointing. Hope it changes soon.

I've had goal for many year, it was a great app, good news, game times in ur local time and much more. Except at the start of the European season, the news story became more like bullet points. But since the new format for the WC, is not not right. Only limited news, constantly wanting notification settings on. Some news stories haven't moved since the new format. I dare say I will look for a better app

The app is missing a lot of data, especially the league standings. Also, the journalism is 🗑. Goal writers opinions lack facts and reliability. Finally, if the app can separate the men's game from the women's game, it'll make for easier reading by ensuring the women's game is either optionally added by the user or creating a separate category that doesn't overlap with the men's news.

This app has taken a lot of the useful features out with its latest UI overhaul, hopefully these can be added back: 1. In the matches tab the games aren't shown in chronological order. The games should be sorted so that the top game is the earliest. 2. In the matches tab you can't scroll left and right to go to different days. You have to use the top date button, which would be alright if this date thing would scroll. 3. In the lineup overview you can't click on a player to go to their profile.

Please fix the constant crashing! I can see many comments below of the issue, so can't understand why the problem isn't resolved. It seems to be the ads (it crashes as they're trying to appear, then if they do the app works), which are now more frequent than ever and now have sound which can't be disabled. Please listen and fix

This has always been my football go-to app, but the recent updates are not so great when it comes to live scores, match tracking and analysis. I can't find Head to Head comparisons anymore. When I click on a player I can't see their stats anymore for clubs and country. No football commentary. It's just really poor honestly

Great app. Keeps me updated round the clock. However, you guys are biased towards EPL. Even a minor piece of news or a small time transfer in England is given importance. However, Serie A or La Liga is at the bottom rung. The shittiest EPL club would be featured in home page live score, whereas for clubs such as Inter, Juve, Bayern, Barca etc. would only get "all goals as they go in".

Generally a great app. I understand having one ad at the start of opening the app. But its getting to the point where it will play 3 or 4 ads in a row before I get to read any content. This used to be one of my favourite apps but now its just becoming annoying to use and I'm finding myself using my web browser just to avoid half of the ads.
