Bought the Pro version on a defunct Google account and am buying again here. It doesn't track you, and all of the data aside from cries is local so there's no need for an internet connection. The only complaint that I can think of is that I like the silhouettes of Pokemon on the store page's images, and the font in them looks to be a sleek Montserrat. In the actual app, they have full albeit still sleek and stylized images, and the font seem like a basic Open Sans. Other than that, fantastic.
I love this app. Its quick and easy access to what pokemon can be found where and at what level, to what moves they learn and how, to where to find different items, and to the level, movesets, item, and abilities for each gym leader across all the games and so many other useful pieces of information and tools, like the team builder. I would definitely recommend having this app if you play Pokemon
A great app - I find myself going back to it any time I have a quick lookup and don't want to slog through Bulbapedia. Love the design, the paid version is absolutely worth it, and making teams is easy. The ONLY (extremely minor) thing I would like , is an option to "set" the app to a specific gen and only generate data for that generation (For example, having all moves of a certain type be special or physical per gen 3). But that's a minor, pie-in-the-sky wish.
Probably the best app for the Pokédex on Android. The biggest issue is that it doesn't have all the entries for each individual Pokémon. I also wish it was a little more customizable with the background colors and let us remove the outlines one the images and opt for the regular style. But for no ads, good performance, frequent updates, and all the essential information you'd need, this is a very well-developed app.
Immediate pro purchase for me. I just wish the team builder included IV and EV spreads so I don't have to use another application to keep track of it. An EV training/shiny hunting counter would be nice, too. Some of the abilities could use more detailed info such as Hospitality, which currently doesn't actually tell you how much HP it restores. Aside from these small quibbles, the app is excellent and I highly recommend it.
Really good for team building on the go. Very nice layout. I love it! Only have two concerns after having the app for a year: 1) doesn't have all data on some entries, like rotom's moves it can learn from changing forms aren't included in his moves section. 2) takes a while to update after new happenings in Pokemon. Like new games or DLC so gotta keep your team ideas elsewhere until it happens. Tends to be a longer wait than I'd like but this is still my favorite PokéApp!
Great dex app for when you want to see what you've got on you game but don't want to start it up and navigate through your boxes. Gives movepools, teachable movesets, and all kinds of data to help you get the most out of your Pokemon be it for competitive play or just destroying your friends. Would recommend buying the paid version to get the ability to have more than 3 active dexs. Good thing to note is the devs update it regularly and fix most bugs before people experience them.
I purchased the upgrade to further my team building, but it keeps popping up with the message to upgrade before I am able to add a Pokémon's ability, nature, item, or Nickname. Overall, it has a good UI, that seems to be the only issue I've run in. Amazing evaluation process for typing and movesets. Edit: Maybe add the ability to compare usage in competitive battle and the ability to, instead of look at mythical and legendaries, be able to filter them out?
Love the app. Has been great for theory building teams and quick lookups while playing the game or if a question pops up when I'm out. One issue, and it may be user error: is there a way to delete teams that have been built? I'd like to clear some out to organize but can't seem to find a way to do it. EDIT: Response was fast, turns out it was user error after all. It might be worth noting the function somewhere easy to see in the app!
I have been using this app for all my team building and research, it's probably one of the best apps out there for pokemon. Great app! Recommendation: I just wish there was a better way to filter through held items, I find myself having to remember what items I haven't considered using and then proceed to scroll for a while reading each item.
I understand some reveiws say bad things about the app, sure it's had it's flaws due to some misinformation or glitches, but they fixed those in the next updates. In my experience, it's good for information about stats, moves, abilities, etc, but sadly, I can't give it a five even when i like it so much. HOWEVER, if they add shiny sprites to be seen in team builder, it'd be a banging 5 stars.
I love this app. I have been using it awhile and decided to get the cheap and worthwhile upgrade. Pokedex, gym leader info, rematch info, locations, nature's, moves, and completely up to date with the most recent games and constantly working to maximize informational output, as well as a rounded and easy to use team builder, including gigantamax and mega evolution, and alter telling you the teams weaknesses and advantages, taking into account moves, abilities and items. seriously the best app.
This app is really nice for building teams and overall pokemon stuff like finding items and where pokemon can be found in specific routes. I would really like a feature with my pokedex that allows me to filter out types. For example if I was looking for water types in bw2 I could type "water" and all water type pokemon would show up for that specific pokedex. Just an idea but even without that feature it's still an amazing app.
Clean but too simple Has a nice clean and easy to use interface that welcomes those not familiar with Pokemon. I'd recommend this to people who are just starting and want to know more. However for the more intermediate users, they should stick with seribii or Bulbapedia for more detailed information. The pages for the Pokemon themselves should easily be 3-5 times in length. With more information and an option to download pages for offline use, I would easily pay for a pro version of this app.
Great app for tracking Pokedex completion. My only complaint there doesn't seem to be a way to mark off regional variants as well as "original" versions in games that feature both. For example, in the Kanto Let's Go dex, only the Alolan variants are listed. There is seemingly no way to mark that I have both Alolan Diglett and regular Diglett for example
I'm really surprised you can't filter to see all the pokemon in specific games. This app allows you to filter by pokemon introduced in specific generations, but that's very limiting. For instance, if you filter by generation IX, key pokemon in Scarlet/Violet (like Azumarill or Gardevoir) don't appear. This is the main thing preventing me from wanting to rely on this nice app. Hopefully this is an easy fix.
Hi, I've been a pro member for a while and 100% recommend for more pokedex and team space. Only thing is, just now while making a custom pokedex I am having a problem where I accidentally added two of the same pokemon and I cannot delete them from the pokedex. Other than that, perfect app. I love the layout and I use the gym leader function so much, plus the recent addition to check pokemon stats without adding them to a team. Edit: yup, that worked! Thank you!
Revisiting Goldex by random chance, I am required to update my review: Goldex is good now. It looks solid, and has pretty much resolved every complaint I've had. There's some work in progress [locations] but that's just a good sign. Oh, and paid options aren't necessary to get info, so that's also good. Overall, very solid. Good job. Edit: One thing I forgot, filtering + sorting gives bizarre order.
I never review apps, but after the previous update, I just had to! I absolutely love Goldex. It has been extremely helpful in keeping track of my progress in games and building teams even before I start a game. The new update with the Kanto locations added is definitely my favourite! Usually I'd have to check Bulbapedia for that information, but now it's all in one app. Well done to the developers, can't wait to see which other features you add in the future!
I totally love your app and would like to give a little feedback that will make me particularly happy. 1. In the past you could toggle multiple pokemon faster and you can't do it without accidentally entering to the details of one of them. 2. The search tool for "seen", "caught" or "shiny" is awesome and I would like to see more filters such as "gen X". For example, you could toggle all gen 1 pokemon as caught at the same time. Of course these are just suggestions, you did an amazing job.
