This app keeps getting better & better all the time, better & easier to generate projects with than the desktop pro version. However, please include an undo option with the app as it is too easy to accidentally drag features to new locations while in edit mode. Also, the app needs an offline mode as it doesn't work when I'm in areas with no service which is more common in my line of work. Lastly, the 🪟 desktop application needs a major UI update in order to interact & sync similar to the app!

You finally updated it! I would say you broke it, but it never really worked right to begin with. I can't use it more than a few minutes in 3D mode before it just up and quits, and this is on a reasonably capable phone! So annoying. Update: App has been updated again, it no longer just up and quits but now it locks up completely and has to be force-stopped to get the phone to work again.

When I started using Google Earth I loved it! It was educational, fun, I could see places that would never physically be able to go. You could "drive" down the street and look around sometimes catching hilarious unplanned situations. There were beautiful photos from people's journeys. All gone! Now it's grocery store shelves and restaurant food trays. When you swooped in under the clouds you'd see the rain falling if there was a storm. That's gone! Harder to navigate. don't use it much now. Sad.

Disappointed lately, even moreso with the version on my new device, installed in Sept 2023, it's full of glitches! For example it says "App Not Installed", yet it is, so I have to go to the APP store, look up Google Earth, and open App thru the app store, rather than through the icon (like it should). Hoping some other things go back to normal or get better. It's still EXTREMELY helpful and informative, and fun to use.

I just downloaded this app for the first time and I love it. But, it does crash, maybe every 5 minutes. Usually when I reopen it it's where I was before it crashed. No, I'm not clearing the cashe and force stopping, I've had the app all of a half hour, I barely have a cashe. I see I should be able to drop pins and name them? Can't do that. But I'll keep it in hopes that Google fixes these issues.

Was one of the best apps that I use on a regular basis. I would use it for search and rescue, hiking, scouting, fishing and skiing. Since the last update all it does is close upon opening. It's updated with the latest version and I've even uninstalled and reinstalled to avail. please fix! Android Galaxy 8+ Finally found the fix on someone else's post. in summary "Force stop the app, Clear cache and data, Allow contact and location permission, Open"

This app is amazing for analyzing geography, looking for locations, etc. The controls are great and the map itself looks beautiful. HOWEVER it lacks a few key features that the desktop (computer) version has, which leads to it feeling like a downgrade. Lastly the app doesn't have the much loved maps for Luna (Moon) and Mars. I'm not sure if they're on desktop still or not, but either way they should be added ASAP. In fact to be honest, the Luna map was why I downloaded it in the first place.

I agree with the other one star reviews. The previous version was sooooo much better. This latest version doesn't display coordinates at the bottom of the screen display and the "Tools" bar described in "help" articles is no where to be found. And, can't find any way to get rid of the new "Your Projects" screen from the bottom of the display. Pleeeeeeze, offer Android users the option to download the previous version of this once very useful program!!!

This app is good of course for the armxhair explorer or just the laymen person to explore our planet. It is photorealistic imagery.not quite satellite, which is fine depending on what you are using it for. It is not in real time, however it does have an option to change what year it is if you want to compare any changes. Overall, a good app and a good way to see our world in a fun way if your just couch exploring. Also has 3d and 2d options and cloud coverage in past 24 hrs. Have fun exploring

Awesome app, just found how to get a picture from it when I want to explore new places to hike, prospect, explore, metal detect & even a ghost town not too far from me. Exploring from space off the beaten path of others is almost as much fun as actually doing it in person. Lots of stuff to find, learn and do, even for the social butterflies out there. Have fun and good luck.

I love to be able to look at satilight images of places I have been to or I'm going to. Fairly handy to find roads, places and points of interest. I think some of the Google Earth images are fake and I don't know why some areas are blocked from being looked at. I would also like to see more recent images some are quite old.

fails to properly display all counties across the US. only shows a limited number of staggered counties and fails to load all of them. doesn't matter what troubleshooting you do. app poorly designed for use on devices with stylus inputs such as the S24 Ultra and trying to edit and place polygons is archaic at best and you end up having to just delete and redo them completely. precision edits are not easily accomplished on mobile. Not sure what happened to the mobile app, but it's horrid

The view is nice; but it lags my phone (which runs Android) when the graphics are to load in. I zoom in closer to the satellite surface of the digital Earth—and sometimes the app just doesn't work or just destroys your screen (temporarily), with nothing on the screen but pitch black.

Had an issue with the previous release, which seriously affected the usability of the app. The buttons for street view, gps, rotation, etc were too close to the edge of the screen, making them usable in portrait mode. I'm pleased to say those problems have been fixed. Great stuff, thank you.

Sucks. I have a new Lenovo Yoga laptop and Google Earth WILL NOT DOWNLOAD. I can try getting it on the web, but can't keep "my places" or anything there. I've had GoogleEarth on three previous laptops, two tablets, and two phones, no problem. But now, it sucks. It's not available, and it's not free.

This app's data is server based. You're getting the most recent data when you open it whether you want to or not. There's no reason to update this app, it makes no difference. Why would I want to "collaborate with others" or "add photos to my maps"? That just sounds like a typical Google data-grab.

Great (the legacy Earth). Pretty useless (whatever they are trying to do with layers/projects): tightly integrated with Drive, they want to have whatever project you work on. Can't save layers into a locally created KML project: useless unless you are logged into a Google account. Besides that, for some silly reason in the traditional "explore" mode navigation buttons are moved to the bottom right side, half outside the phone screen, thus nearly unclickable.

Used to be better and like all apps gets more and more complicated. Originally it was cool how it opened to the globe but of course like other Google products it opens way too close.

it's unnecessarily complicated. maybe it would be better if you had a simplified version that remained on its axis that way you're not accidentally spinning it upside down. Just a simple tool that looked like the old-fashioned analogue globes that you kept on your desk. if you must insist on a 3D rendering then at least allow the user to customise the colour of the borders, that way the white lines don't disappear into the 3D renderings.

some places you can clearly see details of a location, others you cant see anything due to pixels and grainy images. inconsistent visuals. anyone know of a better app?
