This app gives itself complete access to your personal information/data. Even when you disable it and try to prevent updates, I say try because you won't be able to prevent it from making technical changes on your device. This app is able to update its self, track and trace information while running in the background. If I don't have any AR devices or app installed on the phone, why does this app keep running and tracking my device
After the recent update, a notification appeared to uninstall because it is no longer supported. I clicked to uninstall it, twice. Yet, it's still taking up space on my phone. Very few apps work properly if at all, now. More apps fail with each update. It's almost as if Samsung and Google are sending out these updates to cause issues on purpose, to force people to buy new. I'll be ditching the smartphone altogether, instead.
I just don't appreciate being forced to tend to this bloatware. I uninstalled it then ticked off the check box for auto update. I don't touch "update all" because I get tricked into installing it again. I think I should get to choose what I want installed on my mobile device. Google created Android and I totally get that there's crucial softwares to keep it running, but not all of softwares is necessary. I think we should get the option to install (keep) a certain batch of programs.
An app I like and have played for several months had a mandatory update, so naturally I clicked update. Now I can't access it, so I tried to re-install thinking I would get it that way. Now it won't even install on my device without this app as well. Google insists on forcing these apps on us that allow them to access all our data... Not good.
AR features barely work reliably, performance is inconsistent, and device compatibility feels confusing. Compared to Samsung’s AR and OnePlus AR implementations, this app is sluggish, buggy, and provides almost no practical value. For a flagship Google device, this is unacceptable—users expect smooth, immersive AR experiences, not half-baked tools that crash or lag constantly.
Black box app. Don't know what it's supposed to do, and why we're expected to rate it. But, cleaning up my rate these apps list is kinda satisfying.
Works as it should. This is not an app, but a library that allows other apps to use AR properly: identify the floor and objects, and allow augmented things to stay in place in the environment. Most people probably install this to use with Pokemon Go. For that, make sure you have the latest Pokemon Go installed, then clear all app and cache data from the Android settings for that app, restart the app and you're good to go. Of course, this library requires Android 7.0 or newer, and might have some other hardware requirements as well, so it's not available on phones that don't meet those criteria.
This app is being utilized to obtain private information for illegal purposes. I thought I was crazy, however after much research my neighbor in Jackson Michigan is utilizing this app with a few others apps and individuals to gain visual insight into my home any and every room where he's compromised a device. The email I am utilizing @ the moment isn't even safe.
I cannot use nothing in this phone. It's all hackers I had this. Somebody's Wi-Fi setting. Kept popping up and Play Store years ago and I kept deleting it. Deleting it and. It popped back up while I kept deleting it and it moved it.And I download it.I got on somebody's thing. And now they're hacking into my phone I don't appreciate it.Can you please fix this problem
Slow as hell and fills more than half of your screen with: " Your apps may stop working without updates". This says a lot about quality and development process or the lack thereoff.
horrible company. blocked my account for 3xweeks even after verify play card purchase 10 times and chatted with several ppl on the chat. still not resolved.
While playing PokemonGO, every time I try to catch a Pokemon, there's a pop-up screen saying I need to update AR (which I'm not using), so I click to "update" and it takes me to another app to be downloaded! It's not an update, then, is it? It's an add-on! That logo is the cherry on top: like a camera lens spying on you. Shame on you and shame on Pokemon GO! Now every time I catch Pokemon, they force me to watch the pop-up to click cancel, just to annoy and slow me down.
Great tool for AR apps. Smooth performance and realistic interactions. Enhances AR features a lot..
The program messed up and keep putting a message up that said the program kept shutting down. Even their message wasn't working right. When I would try to write what the problem was, the report disappeared as soon as I touched it. I have managed to hit the send button several times, but I couldn't write anything to tell them what the problem was. At least the box agreeing to send some kind of data was already checked. Hopefully that data was about the problem with the app.
Mandi, who gave you the phone? Was it bought brand new from a store? As in packaged? If it was bought used from a friend or other person, they likely put stalkerware aka spying type apps that are not visible on the user interface(what typical normal phone users like us can see when browsing through the phone, apps, files. Even new phones can be compromised, using a "friend's" wifi, or opening a MMS texts is all it takes for them to have full access, they can even remotely trigger your camera
Like other reviewers, I can't get this app to work properly or Uninstall it. The pop up box that comes up constantly directing you to install the update can't be turned off, deleted or Uninstalled. It is interfering with the ability to play Pokemon Go and is eating battery life on my phone like candy. If you have a choice, DO NOT INSTALL THIS UPDATE!
AR CORE UPDATE?!?! I just bought a new s10e and downloaded pogo. A couple days go by peachy then I wake up to this constant prompt to update my ARcore. It also seems like I'm not the only one with this problem. I sent numerous bug reports to both Google and pogo. Hopefully this bug gets fixed soon so I can continue gaming. You can see how that can be annoying, specially for people trying to play and spend money. PLEASE FIX!
This app sucks every time I try and catch a Pokemon it opens a notice saying I need to update. Problem is there is no update. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling no help I've even uninstalled and reinstalled Pokemon no help I'm sure Niantic will be very happy to know that you just cost them a customer. Just had a new update, and still have the same issue. UPDATE THE DAMN APP ALREADY!!!!!! It's been a month already!
This SUCKS. I play Pokémon Go as well and every time you click on something that has shiny potential, it says to update but there IS NO UPDATE. Tried uninstalling, reinstalling, NOTHING WORKS. I'd like to play my game without having this obnoxious AR core "update" notification pop up everytime i play the game.... this issue seemed to come out of nowhere and myself along with a million other players would appreciate it if could get fixed. 0 stars for this pointless junk.
UNWANTED installation! This keeps on installing on my phone without approval. Don't use it, dont need it, don't want it. Google needs to STOP forcing apps, unethical business practices, probably breaking some laws in the process! Update 8/1, this is probably the 5th time this app is installed, I never granted installation. I have deleted from installed app list multiple times and Google still forces it on MY phone! One more time and I will take it further.
