Do not use this app. It is very buggy. Rarely works effectively. The phone won't ring for incoming calls and drops all outgoing calls before a single ring. It shows unopened messages when there are none, and marks already read messages as unread. It also does a terrible job of syncing information across multiple phones. A true nightmare for a small business. DO NOT USE THIS APP!

Signed up for their free trial which was deactivated by their security team after 2 days. I didn't even use it yet. I had to call 3 times after running circles with their support who would not provide answers to be connected with a supervisor who could not provide answers either. I asked them if I switched to a monthly service as opposed to a free trial, would I be able to use their service? I was told no. Banned for signing up for a free trial. I suggest avoiding this company.

They make signing up sound easy but they don't tell you about the extra fees of getting text set up then additional fee each month for text. Then when you realize its going to really cost more than adding a line on your regular service they won't give you a refund for the time you have left. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

It works well overall, but it's so frustrating that after every update all my text messages revert to "unread." It's very tedious to have to click on hundreds of messages every time this happens. Also it appears with today's update you can no longer search messages by contact name. It searches in the body of the text instead. This is going to be very annoying and challenging to find messages. It has also combined voicemail and faxes in the messages section. That was not needed.

It does work, but it's horribly buggy. Every month or so it marks all of my texts as "unread" which causes me to have to individually click them to get rid of the notification mark on the icon. And the last update gave us "Unified View" which constantly turns itself on forcing you to turn it off every time you open the app. Unified View is not something anyone would really use. I want to see my texts in the text section and the calls on the call section. Not everything jumbled up in one.

It makes it easy to have multiple people handling calls. However, I do have a few complaints. Every time they update the app, all messages are marked "new" again; there is no bulk selection in the Android app so you have to do each message individually and when you have over 800 messsges it is a pain and time consuming. Also, the unified view makes it hard to keep track of calls versus texts. I don't know why they got rid of the toggle that allowed you to turn that feature off on Android.

Their customer service is abysmal, and you will need it. My app doesn't always ring when a customer is calling, and if they text I don't always get an alert. Suddenly I lost the ability to make phone calls from the app, I called customer service about it, connection was lost, and it must not be a priority for them to call us back. Cuz they didn't. Beware Oh and another thing, they'll claim that they can't troubleshoot certain types of phones, yet they're in the app store

I am highly upset! I just started a new business and grasshopper was recommended. The setup and use is great and I had been getting calls coming through with no problem. Since the pandemic business is slow so normally I would think less calls. WRONG!!!! SINCE JULY 2ND I have gotten a tone of calls but received no notifications nor did my phone ring. I am livid to say the least. Over a month of calls missed. I have this number listed on everything but it's useless if I can receive calls.

Does a pretty good job for what it is advertised and designed for. A little buggy in a couple of areas. Just yesterday, about 40 text messages that had been previously read anywhere from a day to a few weeks ago were suddenly showing as unread. Sometimes, when calls are forwarded, the voicemail gets left on my phone instead of in the grasshopper app. Multimedia messaging is a bit subpar compared to normal multimedia texting on Android and Apple.

Good app. Easy to navigate. Calls are good. I wish it would allow you to create contacts though. Texting is very limited (cant click links from text), and you can lose texts if you're in an area with weak signal. Sometimes there are significant delays in notifications of texts and missed calls (you should refresh often). But overall, it does what you need

I had tons of tech problems after starting trial. Phone wouldn't ring when certain numbers called me. The 7 day trial was only 2.5 days because I guess I made about three calls and used up what had to be 10 minutes of free trial time. Looked at what the charge would be to continue and SUPRISE, they hide the extra $8.50 per month tax and surcharge fee. That's about 33 percent of the monthly amount added in fees. Absolute ripoff. To many other cheaper alternatives out there.

This program sucks. I really wish I had gone with a different phone service. 1) it goes through your normal dialer, so you never know who's calling because it comes up as Grasshopper in you caller ID 2) extremely inconsistent in deliveries. I've gotten notifications for missed calls that the phone never rang and recent I lost a sale because some responded to my text, but I didn't see their response until the next day. It didn't show up until I restarted the app and never sent a notification

Update- 8/24/20 Nothing has changed. Still have a lag. When I call a customer its extremely difficult to have a conversation with them. When I speak there is almost a 5 second lag time. I will say something and it takes at least 5 seconds after for them to hear everything I say. In the meantime they try to speak and what I have already said ends up cutting them off. Talk about crappy customer service if I were on the receiving end. Please fix this.

Was working well, and then I became unable to access the app from my Android devices. Still works on desktop and laptop. I called support twice and they were unable to fix the problem. Since I use my grasshopper number for business, this is crippling. I can't call clients from my Grasshopper number. And I'm very disappointed in the responses from Grasshopper to Android customers that have reported the issue. It seems dismissive. I hope this new update fixes the problem or I'm going elsewhere.

Have been using grasshopper for 7+ years and it's worked ok. App has always been a little flaky but have been able too work around it's pitfalls. But since android 15 the app is unable to make outbound calls using grasshopper phone numbers - it just makes the call using my cell phone number. That is garbage. Cannot run a business that way. Notified them and they finally told me they were aware of the problem. Why haven't they either fixed it or let users know that it doesn't work?! Unacceptable

Terrible. The pricing you see is not what your going to pay. You don't get 3 extensions because one is a default and it does nothing, the website provides no education so you will need to have a phone number that is not part of your business to call in to make sure it is set the way you want. The app does not provide you a way to change any settings how your calls are routed. You will need to log in to their website. I could say more but, just want a refund, sorry.

Great for business calls on the go! The only downsides is the phone only rings a time or two and if you don't answer right away, it goes to missed call. I end up having to call back a few people every day since it doesn't ring for your typical 30 seconds until going to voicemail/missed call. Must have cell service to make/receive calls, Wi-Fi won't do the trick. When Cellcom had their service shortage for 2 weeks, I couldn't do my job of answering the business phone which was very upsetting.

The latest update has made the app VERY slow, not user friendly. It takes a long time when I open the app to load msgs, and then when I click one, it takes a while to load that. Then, trying to get back to all messages from the text I just opened, it makes me wait for all messages to load again. Please fix it, it's really hard to use like this!

The app works great 👍 and the customer service is fast and friendly. I have not had any issues so far. I have used the app since July 2019 for my real estate investment company. I love the new feature of the automatic text my clients get when I cannot answer my. Phone when they call. The only thing I do not like is that I cannot stop robot calls even after placing my number on the national do not call list.

Can't get help from anyone. I just keep getting the response "we can't replicate your issue." This is such a pain in the @**. We can't text out and haven't been able to for 3 months. So this isn't a glitch. Their app simply DOESN'T work. I'm slammed busy and have no time to shop around.. meanwhile I've already paid them for an entire year upfront. Just stay with Google voice. They're free and their app actually works.
