2/28/26: APP is still lagging & buggy dropping my rating again. 11/23/25: I gave it a 2-star rating, 1 because the app doesn't want to turn on most of the time and 2 because I like these products. About the new app. It's good (IF I can get in). 99.99% of the time it stays on the loading screen and won't let me in. Also, online or on the APP (when I can actually get in), the Favorites list doesn't work. It just shows up as gray boxes.

I can browse, but the cart does not function. I was getting an error message every time I tried adding something to my cart, so I reinstalled the app. I was then able to add, but the cart contained the wrong item. (I added two different scents of hand soap, but it registered two of the same scent). I love Grove, but I haven't ordered in forever because the app is impossible.

It seems my issue with the app is not isolated. it looks like other android users are also experiencing the same thing, NOT being able to use it. Each time I open it, it just closes itself. Then I get a message saying an error has occurred on the app; and I need to update the app to fix the bugs. I have updated the app several times; even uninstalled it twice. I still cannot use the app!! If I can't update my cart, what's the point

Update: It's now Nov. 2025 and the app still doesn't work properly. Just deleting it since I haven't been able to order anyway. Constant issues since all their recent updates. My entire account history is gone, including all my subscriptions and favorites. Things keep disappearing from my cart, and I rarely can even get the app to load correctly now.

The app hasn’t worked for me since the recent updates to the website, logo, and app. On top of that, I almost never receive my full order, and I often don’t receive the free item that’s included with my purchase. At this point, it has become such a hassle to place an order and actually receive what I paid for that I’ve decided to stop using the app, the website, and Grove altogether. This is really disappointing, especially after seven years of being a monthly customer.

long time grove subscriber here, but the "new" app continues to be atrocious. it is slow, wonky, & it frequently crashes. the old system for subscriptions was also superior to the current "everything every month" deal. I can't tell if that's a bug or not, but whenever I try to delete items deposited into my cart, regardless of my selected frequency, the app crashes. i love the company, but if the app remains this wonky & time-consuming, I am likely to look elsewhere. please fix!

update: the app is still not working correctly. I am able to add products, even multiple of the exact same thing, to my cart, but when I go to check out, many products are unavailable.-- Love Grove and the products they offer, but lately the app has been horrible. Very slow to load, won't add products to my cart, freezes, etc. I love the variety of products and brands I can find here, but will stop using it and cancel my VIP membership if the android app continues to not work.

I've been using Grove for years, pay for the premium membership. I've been completely unable to use the app since March and haven't been able to buy any of my regulars. Sent an email, got no response. It's ridiculous. Update edit: Several months later, it's September 2025, the app isn't working again with the newest update. I literally cannot add anything to my cart. I receive an "item error" every time, with any and every item. I cannot make an order. Closing my account.

if the app opens it is slow and wonky. the search function doesn't work consistently and the cart doesn't always update with the products selected. it has been this way since the update (maybe early 2025?). i have been a grove customer since 2019 and the original website (and eventual app) from when the company was just starting was never this unreliable. it's been a disappointing transition and seems like it's been long enough that the bugs should have been resolved.

Your app keeps getting worse and worse. Please stop trying to make it better. You fail every time. Go back to the app version from like... 2022. I think it was okay then. I got an email that my cart had 158 dollars of subscriptions set to send on September 15th. Log into the app and NOTHING IS THERE. To be clear, the Grove company is not bad. Their mission and products are amazing. The tech goonies they hire are apparently the bottom of the barrel from the worst tech institution in the nation.

The App is no good. Since the update I am constantly uninstalling and reinstalling just to complete my order. Add items to the cart and when I go to review the cart, there's nothing there. It's extremely annoying since I love my Grove products and other brands but I'm starting to wonder if it's worth the time and effort I'm putting in.

My review is for the app, not the company. I love the company and their products. The app is awful. I've tried deleting and reinstalling, clearing the cache and it doesn't fix the bugs. The app would constantly crash. A lot of times I'd have to go on my computer and place orders through the website because I'd add products through the app to my cart and they wouldn't be in my cart at checkout. Or prices would change every time I'd add an item. Now the app will no longer open so I can't use it.

I adore this service. It's a great resource to find all sorts of environmentally brands for a wide array of different products. You always get a few fun free things to pick from each month based on how much you spend, and VIP gifts and discounts are nice. Overall, love grove. But their app is really bad. It's extremely slow, there's a million pop-ups, and it crashes all the time whenever I try to remove things from the cart. Love the service! Hate the app.

The app since the update is terrible! It is buggy, takes forever to load, when it does load. Also, I have items disappearing from my cart for two straight months. I contacted customer service, and they just said I didn't put the items in the cart. I am trying to avoid companies like Amazon, but if this app doesn't get fixed, they are going to lose a customer.

"Wonderful app. Guilt free shopping, what could be better 😜 Products and service are both great." that was my original review but things have changed drastically. the app is glitchy and indirect and often I cannot successfully change my cart and preferences before my order is due to ship. They're unhelpful with their customer service and it's very hard to even reach a person. don't recommend this anymore and I've been searching for an alternative 'clean' marketplace is anyone has suggestions!

The new platform for this app is terrible. Your cart does not sync with the app. When I get an email stating my order ships soon, I can not open the app up to review the items in my cart. It shows that my cart is empty. I have to click the link in the email and open the website up in the browser to see what items are in my cart. Also, the app crashed during the "hey, we know the platform transition sucked, here is a sale for our members as an apology," so I at least wasn't able to participate.

Updated my review as newer versions of the app have left the service unusable to Android. Have reached out to customer service/tech support numerous times and unfortunately for weeks it still has not been fixed. I've now missed out on many promotions and gifts. Very disappointing. ‐----‐---------------------- Love the products, the app and the service. Was a member before the pandemic and glad I had a steady stream of items shipped directly to my home!

Wish there was a way to SORT products in the wishlist, subscription, and cart. Sorting by brand, product type, price, etc. would be helpful. It's too time-consuming to have to scroll from top-to-bottom to find out I've ordered 2-3 different dishsoaps of the same brand/scent in the cart because they are scattered throughout the list. Grouping them together would be of great help. Maybe a drag&drop method as an option would be good. Managing subscriptions needs to be simpler too.

This app is a constant struggle. App hangs up, cart wouldn't load, very slow, items auto added to cart based on subscriptions I did not subscribe to. I always have to triple check my order before shipping to be sure something I haven't ordered doesn't magically appear. When I search "Clearance" from the app, it shuts down immediately. No problems with the website. My professional opinion is that the updated software was released with inadequate software quality assurance testing.

Adding to update: It's been almost 2 months and this app is still absolutely terrible!!! I love Grove, but the new app update is sooooo laggy. It takes me forever to do my shopping on the app since each page takes forever to load, my cart disappears and reappears constantly. I get frequent error messages that force me to close out of the app and reopen. It's frustrating because I do most of my shopping using the app, but I'm about to give up using it and just do my shopping on my laptop.
