Horrible Service, let me repeat, HORRIBLE SERVICE! Almost every order was late. Not just a little late OVER AN HOUR LATE. Plus they get the order wrong half the time. Missing beverages. Cold food. Wrong order. They gave me little $5 coupons to "make up for it" but it's limited to $20 max so the last time the order was an hour and a half late (after the already late eta) I got nothing. Their ai chat was no help and they make it VERY difficult to actually get through to a real person. 👎 HORRIBLE!
I'm going out of my way to write this. I had an order recently that got miss delivered. No picture for the order just a red screen. I issued my request of didn't receive food and wanted redeliver. Got instant credit instead. I was fine with it, but then I tried to order again today. I'm exhausted from the hassle. I tried to use my credit on 4 different stores and got one message. "Sorry we cant combine two or more payment methods." Try doordash instead never any issue like this.
I wish I could include screenshots of interactions with the customer service. Firstly, on their app is nowhere to report missing items 👎 with that said, I emailed them the evening our order was missing items and included a pic of the receipt. That was on 10/29. Today I finally got a response that said because THEY took too long to respond they could only offer a $5 credit. Very poor customer service!!!
The app isn't the issue it's the service itself. They need to update their system to what DD uses or something similar. They are so slow it takes 2 hrs to get an order from a place that's 10 minutes away. Yeah I can get it myself but not the point. I'm not always able to get out and I'm willing to pay for it to be delivered to me and I actually tip well. Drivers get lost or take weird ways to get to my house and it takes them longer. Just annoying. They don't care which is why I'm cancelling.
I keep getting an error page when I click "help" or "extra tip". I had a fantastic, kind driver, and I wanted to toss him an extra $5, and I can't. Deleted the app, reinstalled, force stopped, cleared cache, tried on wifi, tried on cellular. I've got a Galaxy S25 Ultra, and Amazon only makes eleven zillion dollars a day, so I'm thinking a working app shouldn't be too high an expectation, but here we are. I took a screen recording, can a dev reach out? I'm mad at Bezos, not you.
My first time trying to use the app and my delivery kept getting pushed back and pushed back. Now (if delivered at the new current time) it will be two hours from ordering to delivery. I cannot cancel because and I tried going through Help within the app and their AI bot says there's nothing they can do? I don't even expect a complete refund, but just something to make this feel a little better. I've never experienced anything like this with years of using other delivery services. Unacceptable.
The only reason I have this app is for campus dining at my university. Outside of that, the UI is laggy and the search function does not cover every restaurant in your area. Late orders are a huge hassle as customer support is not readily available, leaving several purchases a completely waste of money and 5 dollars as compensation for cold food I no longer wanted.
Disappointed in my deliveries 75% of the time. The app gives the drivers too many deliveries at once. If you enjoy cold food, long waits, high prices and a horrible automated AI customer service menu, then this app is for you! As for me, I will deleting this app. I write this as I wait 2 hours for my cold food that my driver is currently taking site seeing throught the city. The store is 5 mins away and I can't cancel my order. Another horrible experience.
It's an okay app, but has some key issues. 1) The favorites section only appears if a store you favorites is open. So, if you favorite a store for later because it was closed or too far, you may never find it again. 2) I have had the most canceled deliveries with GrubHub, where a late night order would be cancelled around the time it was expected to be delivered and thus wasting my time and leaving me with very limited options.
I've had Grubhub+ for a few years. It was great until they partnered with Instacart last year. Now groceries take about 6 hours to be delivered. They give you a reasonably time initially, and gradually start shifting it. Last time, my stuff was meant to be delivered at 5, which changed to 6, then 7. I called them at 8 and they said they'd have to cancel. This wasn't an isolated incident. Now delivery is free if you order 50+, but they've added ridiculous service and deliv fees on smaller orders.
Grubhub won't let you delete your account. I've tried several times over the past couple of weeks, but anytime I hit the "Manage or Delete Account" button, I get the following message, "Our server is out of reach, but so close we can taste it! Try again in a few minutes." What a terrible business tactic. Additionally, it mostly provided restaurant options that were further away (so many closer restaurants weren't available), so I always had to wait an hour for my food.
Delivery times shown in full list of restaurants are consistently shorter than what is listed for individual restaurants at time of placing orders. For example, tonight, in the full list one place showed a delivery time of 16 minutes. Upon clicking it, however, the time stretched to 24 minutes and by time of checkout less than 1 minute later to an estimate of 25-40 minutes on a slow Tuesday night. I ditched my order due to time warp bait and switch and not knowing when my order would arrive.
Horrible. They take at least an hour to deliver. My food is always cold. I have given this app a chance multiple times, and every time is an even worse experience. I recently had a performance, and we were all ordering food. My friends who used Doordash got their food within 15 minutes. I ordered before them and from the same place, and it took an hour. The food was cold. It wasn't worth it, and was very expensive. I highly recommend Doordash instead.
The search makes the app difficult to use. For example, if you search in one place on the app, it will show a local pizza place, but if you search under pizza category it can't find this restaurant. Even if you sort by distance when the restaurant is just down the street. Too many ghost kitchens. It seems like there is no way to view favorite places. The sort by distance doesn't seem to work. constant issues with payment not going through.
this service has been getting worse and worse over time. the amount of times I get the right order, without delay is very low. usually have to call and make a claim about the wrong thing being dropped off then get a refund and order again. like 3 hours between placing order and cold food showing up at my house. this has been getting more and more constant and makes me want to stop using this service all together.
Stop pushing $50 deals on me.. better $25 deal would be preferable. Decent service and selection. Another Big problem, almost every restaurant overcharge 20%-40% above menu prices🤬. That before any fees, taxes, or tip. The only time I order is with those rare times when they offer 40%‐50% off, thus compensating for the initial overcharges from the vendors.
Absolutely horrible customer service! Tried to cancel an order but was unable to because "they already started preparing it". The number the app provides was not working when I tried to call and cancel it myself and I was told there was nothing else they could do. So now I have no food, and am out $40.
Times never reflect correctly - shows one time on the list of restaurants, then a longer time when you open the restaurant to order and when showing the ETA. Orders are constantly late - $5 back for a late order is nice, but not convenient. Restaurants will show as an option for order, but once you edit the item to the way you want it, if the restaurant won't have your order ready in time, the app will then tell you, not before - massive waste of time.
I'm a grubhub+ member and recently accidentally put pick up for an order instead of delivery. I understand this was my mistake, but the company only offered 5 dollars back on a 32 dollar order. I tried to cancel the order the second I paid, but I was told I couldn't because the order was in progress already. It could not have started in the 10 seconds between my payment and my attempt to cancel. The customer service was not helpful.
I'm revising myreview to include that there have to many instances with Grubhub delivering the wrong order. So, not only am I disappointed, but the person who ordered the food was deliver to me, is not receiving what they ordered. And, you don't care So, you refund my order and I have to reorder, so I have to wait for the correct food to be delivered.
