Dude, I can't even log in. Okay I figured out how to log in but the app is horrible! You can't change the size of the text except for zooming in, which really isn't practical. There are like, no settings. The app is just plain and boring. I'm only 33 but I feel like I need glasses to read anything in this app. Please add font options! Size, bold, etc.

Does what it says on the tin, but it's God-awful at it. I routinely have to spend at least five minutes fighting the player if I want to listen to a file again. Pausing is even a nightmare; how is it that I hit the pause button and that somehow means "skip ahead thirty seconds"? I'm less than 180lbs; my fingers ain't that fat! If you get audio programs through Gumroad, you can listen to them in this app if you really want to, but I recommend just downloading the files and playing elsewhere.

While this app DOES allow me to listen to content I wouldn't get to listen to elsewhere, it is NOT easy to use. It doesn't continue the story by automatically moving from one chapter to the next, it stops playing at random moments, it struggles to work with my Bluetooth devices or with Android Auto. If I had another option to listen to some of this content, I would likely choose that other option, unless it was even worse (of course)!

It plays media, but it's very inconsistent about it. I open the app and a podcast will start playing without my playing it. Or the control buttons will appear as if media is already playing and I have to press "pause" then "play" again to play media. Worst of all, it will just start playing while I'm using other apps, and doesn't respect the audio output of those apps by muting itself. Would be great if I could get a custom RSS feed for a more reliable player but that seems like too much to ask.

The player is total garbage. Can't pause with headphones, stops playing randomly and have to restart, not intuitive. The content available is good, the transactions are easy, but you need an external media player to enjoy what you purchase. Also, if you purchase a video, you can't listen to it unless the screen is on. If you turn the screen off the media will stop playing about a minute later. Don't be like YouTube guys. A good app for purchasing programs, terrible media player.

I think this is the first review of an app I have ever written. I bought an audiobook online that can only be listened to on this app. There's no way to set a bookmark, you have to manually start the next chapter instead of it autoplaying, and you can only go back in increments of 15 seconds instead of having a slider. It also doesn't give an option to download the files so that you can use a different player. If I had known this was going to be what it was like, I don't think I would have bought the book. I use audiobooks to fall asleep by and want to be able to restart approximately where I fell asleep without having to use the 15 second button to search with and to try to remember where I started. The things I like are the chapter titles are in large print which comes in handy when I don't have my glasses on and that it plays the book. I will change the review if the issues are fixed soon.

Good, but can be better. The media I listen to will sometimes pause for no reason, and the only way I can play it back is if I close the app and open up the media again. Sometime it won't remember when it paused, or go back to playing from 10 minutes before. I'll be listening to a podcast and lock my phone. When I unlock my phone, it skips back to where I locked my phone instead of continuing playing. It doesn't happen all the time, but more than enough to be annoying.

This is the least consistent media player I have ever had the displeasure of using. You can only play videos with a locked phone for around ten minutes, and occasionally when you open the app it will open into a video you have already watched, to which you cannot exit back to the library. The only way to "fix" that issue is to reset the app between eight and fifteen times. You can not pause a video you are watching if you have the app running in the background/miniplayer. This is ridiculous.

Well, I left a review earlier that was one star because I for some reason I had an earlier version of Gumroad. I would edit my review, but there is only 500 characters provided. The app is better than it was, videos play in the background now which is nice. There are still issues, i.e there is a slider alert for the media player, even when I haven't played a video or anything don't have any content yet and can't get rid of it, and there has been a few crashes when pausing/playing.

It seems to be impossible to exit episodes back to the list/subscription channel. I had to not just leave the app, but shut it down to exit the episode I was watching. Not to mention, hour-hour and 1/2 episode can not possibly require 2-4 gigabytes. That is insane. Any typical streaming app with downloads available compresses much larger productions with longer run times down to less than half a gig, on the high end. I have only just gotten this app too, but I'm already subscribed. Needs help.

Handy app for my Gumroad purchases. Needs a feature that allows accessing and consolidating content bought from other accounts. Over the years I've bought products through four different emails but must logout and log in again to view an alternate account. EDIT: Downgraded from 3 to 1 star. Now in Pixel 7 (Android 13) and no content displays. Error message "Your library is empty. Unfortunately, you don't have any products in your Library that are mobile friendly at the moment."

This app works, but not at production-level quality. I would expect its buggy behavior out of a beta, but not a public release. It does not remember positions in podcasts accurately. It will freeze and the system will prompt you to close it. It will stop playing when you turn the screen off, but only sometimes. It will keep playing when Bluetooth disconnects. It has a "cast" button, but the button doesn't do anything. Gumroad has a lot of work to do.

For an E Reader this is awful. As requested 8/12/20: when you zoom in on 2 or 3 columns if you slide too far right or left it changes the page requiring you to find your spot again. If you have to leave the app in the middle of the book you start at the begining. This may not be on the app but if the author uploads a poor quality document it becomes very hard to read when you zoom in. You pay for a subscription and have a hard time reading it in one place.

Super Easy to Set Up! Setting up on Gumroad was way easier than I expected. The platform is very straightforward — I was able to upload my product, set my price, and launch my page without any confusion. The whole process felt smooth and beginner-friendly, even if you’re not super tech-savvy. Definitely recommend it if you want a simple, no-stress way to start selling digital products!

I can't even log into the app, I don't have an existing account and there is no "Create account" button, just e different ways to log in. I tried to make one using a web browser but then it tells me that usernames can only have Caps, lower case and numbers. There were only letters in the name I chose, nothing else at all. This app and the whole damn thing make no sense, all I wanted was to buy some art damnit.

Might as well stay on the computer cause the app can't do much of anything. I view comics on here and some of the them I can't download. All the files are roughly the same size so I don't know why I can't. On top of that I can't actually browse for other products on the app I have to go through the website. Another thing they did for some reason is block the sign up option. Had to go to the website for that to.

Absolutely minimally functional. Startup-level development. Version 0.1 stuff. Selecting "Available offline" (which is what I need) seems to do nothing, because if I select it, wait and lose my data (hence, offline use) - the app says "This video cannot he streamed". If you don't complete a video, or have to switch over to another app, it resets your position to zero. God forbid you are somewhere in the middle of watching a 90 minute video and receive a call. This app needs a lot of work.

I've never have so many issues with just an audio and video player. This is basically the only thing you do and you can't do it right. Video in background pauses 30s after playing. PIP displays the pause button the whole time and is offset. Audio doesn't display a pause button nor display when I open the app, so to "pause it" I have to force stop the app. Very disappointing.

Kinda blows. When I try to watch videos I can't listen to them in the background, I can't watch them then look at any app without searching for where I was, and downloading my library doesn't work. I wish I could just download video files right to my phone and play it off of VLC, which has all the things I need and casting on top. I expect more (basic mobile functionality) out of an app that requires me to purchase content to use.

The option use the "appear on top" does not do what it says. In order to listen to my purchased book, using my compatable, updated, restarted, Android Samsung note top of the line. I say that so you don't tell me to do one the above and maybe we will come to a solution. I cannot do anything on my phone without the audio stopping. I basically have to choose to sit and do nothing but listen to this audio book or I only get about five mins before it stops if I attempt to multi task on my phone.
