This app is pretty straightforward to use if a little slow. I've had these lights since 2020 and only recently decided to put them back up and they work great. My only gripe is that you can't change the brightness when selecting a light pattern; adjusting the brightness appears to only work on the static light setting.
Pretty easy to make adjustments to ur lights. Does about everything u could need to control them. Only issue I have is when trying to play music to match the light with, there is no option to source music from another app. Also, when setting times for the lights to turn on or off (ect), the time is set on EST (Eastern Time). It will not automatically convert to ur time.
The app is a good idea, makes it easier especially since my power supply is hidden away so I can't use the remote. Can anyone tell me how to work the "timing" option I tap on it and all I get on the screen is " please select a device " with an arrow pointing up to the power button and thats it, nothing else. Maybe this can be fixed soon??? I would be love to use my lights as an alarm ⏰
Installed on Samsung Android. Had no issues connecting to the lights via blue-tooth, was able to go thru the different colors, intensity and styles. My only problem is that I set the timer to go on and off (works fine) but after a day or so my times are all erased and go back to zeros. I don't see any setting to save them, just the OK button. Going to re-install, clear cache, setup again to see if that resolves it.
I'm a little frustrated. I've been using this app and my lights for probably a year or two and haven't had much issue. Sometimes the app would crash and I'd have to restart my phone for it to be able to connect to the lights. However, now it won't connect to them at all and no matter what I do it isn't working. I've restarted my phone multiple times, turned off and on Bluetooth, deleted and reinstalled the app, and cleared all the data. It won't work so I have to delete it now. Such a shame.
I was concerned when I read the bad reviews. But the app installed within seconds, I opened it up and it worked immediately. I did not have to search or detect anything. I just opened the app, started pushing buttons to change colors and it worked flawless. There are easy preset colors and you can even phase or strobe single colors or combinations of colors. It's incredibly easy and works great!! I have a Galaxy S10 if that helps.
BATTERY DRAINER! This app requires you to turn on and keep on your location while using the app! GPS takes a lot of battery power to keep on, I don't understand why the app gas to use GPS for an app that syncs using Bluetooth. The app still has limited control and the names of the patterns does not show up only numbers so it takes a lot longer to find the pattern you want since you have to pick one then see it first before moving to the next one. There is plenty of room for improvement!!!!
Works well at. Controlling my light feature, especially fun to use it to make the lights move with music. Update: No longer does it recognize music stored on my phone or playlists. I've moved all music files to different folders, but it only recognizes like 2 of my downloads. And has added music to the playlist that I don't have on my phone. No longer like this app

I think I need to return the clock because even though I finally got the NH-69 model connected to Bluetooth to play music, I cannot get the APP to detect the clock. So the controls for it doesn't work. The APP doesn't have the 3 little dots on it and when I go to listed devices...there's nothing there and no way through that menu to pair/connect the device. I've looked at YouTube videos for this model and they all just magically have the device name in their APP drop down. Mine doesn't. :( Sucky
Horrible! Please help! App is not at all intuitive. First time setup went fine. Now I can't connect to one device. Uninstalled app. Reinstalled. Still there. Finally figured out how to delete devices but it won't actually let me click the delete button. Unpaired device in Bluetooth settings. Now I am unable to pair either device via Bluetooth. This thing is ridiculous! Any advice is appreciated.

SUCKS! Connect to my android once, and worked for a bit, but then it stopped working with the app. Mini controller thing is nice because I can at least control the lights minorly. Definitely would NOT recommend this even though the lights themselves have a good rating. Edit: 3 months in, the lights stopped connecting to anything at all. Ive tried different platforms (IOS, Android) and it doesnt work.
It accesses your pictures!!! Required to use this app through Bluetooth to control lighting as they don't provide a remote. Previous LED strips I've had on TV turn on and off with the TV remote. Not this one. You'd have to turn on and off the lights through Bluetooth every time. Not to mention that it can access my photos and location and no way to block that. Creepy AF!
Edit: sucks only one device can connect to the light at a time.... Can't control with multiple devices! Lame! Also on android 7, I can't rename the lights!! Bug Awesome! So much better than using the stupid remotes. The app is so much more convenient and if you have multiple lights that uses this app, you can actually control all or individually!
Don't bother downloading. Does not connect to device even though it's successfully connected to my phone. There's no way to add device to app if it's not automatically found. Not worth the frustration of trying to disconnect and reconnect to try and get it to work. I tried for over an hour even tried uninstall and reinstall of the app. I got nowhere. Don't download. You'll regret it if you do.
The app generally works fine and does a pretty decent job of reconnecting to devices as quickly as it can. A few requests: 1) Add the ability to select a straight color temperature (in Kelvin) to make creating non-color looks easier. 2) Or add saturation to the color picker. This is pretty standard and would allow for better color control. 3) Add the ability to save colors to a palette. Otherwise, it's fine.
I love this app!!! It does take some time to get used to (a bit difficult to work with). But it's fast and easy, SO FAR I ain't had any problems, the light is amazing, the music ehhh.. and the time set up I don't recommend. But it is very workable, and it is amazing. Maybe more music suggestions (including; no downloading any music). I haven't figured out if you can connect bluetooth but it does say you can. My phone connected very fast. So yes, I do suggest this 'HappyLighting' app! :)
Music feature is flat. It works well as a regular light, but the music sync aspect only works with five songs that came with the app. It doesn't connect to my Spotify or YouTube Music libraries, and the neither the user manual nor the app info have any info on how to connect the light to music. Just bummed, because the music mode was the selling point to me, but it seems like more of an afterthought to the creators.
Honestly I just bought LED lights for my room and although they did come with a remote (not the standard one but a smaller version though we could still control and change the colours) it also talked bout this app that you could connect to your lights via bluetooth. I though it was a great feature that other lights couldn't offer. After using it, I think its really conveniant. It connects well and if you lose your remote or don't wanna get up, you can use the app instead!
Device will not pair, more to do with hardware, but if it doesn't work, it doesn't work. Phone sees device, will not pair. No problems pairing bluetooth on other devices. Tried connecting on 2 different phones and a tab each running different versions of android. 0 stars. Replaced the controller also.... This is the app directed to with the hardware I got. I saw a different app, "Triones" that looks the same. This one works, connected. Maybe it's an update for new BT releases?
Can't get it to stay connected and when I choose a color, it automatically goes back to red. Won't let me set to rainbow at all. Was really excited about these lights for my son's room. Now, I am just disappointed. Also, why doesn't anyone respond to our issues?! There are many comments on issues and no one has offered a solution. Terrible customer service!
